Winston had an inconsistent season for the Bucs. He was suspended to start the year and didn't win the job back right away because of the great play of Ryan Fitzpatrick. He found the field in Week 4, though, before losing the job for a couple weeks in the middle of the season. He got the starting job back in Week 12 and kept the job the rest of the year. He had 20 total touchdowns in 11 games but also had 14 interceptions. The mistakes marred an otherwise good season for Winston. He has double-digit interceptions each of his four seasons in the NFL. Winston has 4,000-yard passing seasons two of four and at least 28 total touchdowns in each of his full seasons in the NFL. New head coach Bruce Arians could be just the thing to get Winston going. He has a history with Arians, who should be a good fit for Winston. Winston has a great arm and can make all the throws. He is a pretty accurate quarterback. Winston is a good athlete but more of a pocket passer than scrambler. He will make plays with his legs when needed.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Winston can be a legit No. 1 for fantasy teams in the offense. He gets a lot of chances each game and is always capable of the big game. This could be his best season to date, making him a guy to consider for you to use as a low-end No. 1 but get a good backup for him for insurance. Look for him to get 4,000-passing yards with 30-plus scores and 15 interceptions.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard is set to begin the season as Jameis Winston's top tight end after not playing in the team's fourth preseason game. Howard is projected to improve on his sophomore season after putting up 565 yards and five touchdowns in only 10 games. The Buccaneers expect to be in a lot of shootouts this season in part due to a porous defensive unit. With 179 targets being vacated by the losses of Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson, Howard will have every opportunity to become an elite tight end in 2019.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that quarterback Jameis Winston (ankle) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday after tweaking his ankle in the Week 11 loss to the Saints. Winston has put up numbers this year with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin as his top two targets, but he remains turnover-prone and leads the NFL in interceptions after 11 weeks. He's facing a Falcons Defense in Week 12 that has tightened up in recent weeks, but he'll still be a midrange QB1 because of the fact that he has the best one-two punch at receiver in the league. You'll have to live with the turnovers.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Fantasy Spin: Winston appears to be on track to play in Week 12 as long as he does not suffer any setbacks. He has struggled with interceptions this season and will be facing an improving Atlanta Falcons defense. He may be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in very deep leagues or a starter in two-quarterback leagues.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (ankle) is expected to play in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons despite suffering an ankle sprain in Week 11 that was impacting his ability to step into throws, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Fantasy Spin: In theory, Winston has a good matchup this week. However, the Falcons haven't given up a touchdown in two games against high-powered division rivals after basically gifting them for half of the season. Winston's penchant for turning the ball over multiple times in seemingly every other game makes him hard to start in fantasy as well. Consider him a risky play in Week 12.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston completed 30-of-51 passes for 313 yards, two touchdowns, and four interceptions in the Bucs Week 11 loss to the Saints. Winston was unable to get out of his own way the entire afternoon, and all but sealed the win for the Saints after tossing a pick-six with just 5:07 remaining to put the Saints up by 17. Winston is currently on track to throw more than 28 interceptions on the season but has still been able to put up useful fantasy numbers. He will have a much easier matchup in Week 12 with the Falcons on deck. Fantasy owners can slot him in as a low-end QB1 for that one.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston went 30-for-51 for 313 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions against the New Orleans Saints in Week 11.
Fantasy Spin: Winston has thrown 19 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in 10 games this season but does not appear to be in any danger of losing his starting job. He will be facing the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12 and probably should only be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston will travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints this weekend. The Saints held Winston to 204 yards through the air the first time they met this season and will not be looking passed this matchup after getting embarrassed by the Falcons in Week 10. Winston has thrown nine interceptions over the last four games, and while he has also accounted for at least one score and 301 yards in each of those games, it has not been enough for fantasy owners. Winston will slot in as a mid-tier QB2 for this matchup. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston completed 30-of-48 passes for 358 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals and he rushed for 40 yards.
Fantasy Spin: Winston has recorded four consecutive 300-yard passing games, although he also had two or more picks in three of those outings. You have to take the good with the bad. There has been a lot more good lately. He is a low-end QB1 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams Week 11 at home against the New Orleans Saints.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston completed 30-of-48 passes for 358 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Bucs Week 10 win over the Cardinals. In classic Winston fashion, he also fumbled on the day. In a game against a Cardinals team who were giving up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks coming into the week, this was a massive disappointment. Inconsistency has plagued Winston his entire career, evidenced by this performance coming just one week after arguably his best game of the season. Things don't get any easier from here as the Bucs have to travel to New Orleans in Week 11 to take on the Saints, and after a tough loss to the Falcons today the Saints are going to want to bounce back. Winston will slot in as a QB2 in that matchup.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston will return home this week to play the Arizona Cardinals in what should be a high scoring affair. Winston has thrown for at least 300 yards and two touchdown passes in three consecutive games and should have no problem continuing that streak against a Cardinals Defense that is currently ranked 29th in passing. The Cardinals are also tied for the lowest amount of interceptions with a measly two take takeaways all year, so Winston should be able to take care of the ball. Fire Winston up as a mid-range QB1 in this matchup. A Winston and Mike Evans or Winston and Chris Godwin stack could also prove very profitable for DFS players this week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston went 29-of-44 for 335 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks. Winston also ran twice for eight more yards and fumbled once.
Fantasy Spin: Winston wasn't perfect for sure - one of his touchdowns was a forced pass that ricocheted off a defender and landed in the hands of Breshad Perriman - but this effort is definitely more in line with what head coach Bruce Arians had in mind when he took the job. It's hard to trust Winston in any given week given his propensity for boneheaded decisions, but he figures to be a popular DFS play and strong matchup-based option in Week 10 versus the Arizona Cardinals.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston put up a very solid performance in Week 9, but it was ultimately not enough as the Seahawks prevailed in overtime. The fifth-year signal-caller threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns while fumbling once. He held his own against Russell Wilson in this one, and while this may not have been his best statistical performance of the season, it was easily one of his most consistent. Winston has a dream matchup coming up in Week 10 with the Arizona Cardinals coming to town, he will slot in as a mid-range QB1 for that matchup.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has thrown seven interceptions over the past two games, and a shaky Seattle Seahawks secondary may just be exactly what he needs to get back on track. The fifth-year signal-caller has performed as expected so far this season, throwing interceptions in all but two games, and that may be what brings him down in this one. The Seahawks secondary currently boasts the fourth-most interceptions in the league, if they can put some pressure on Winston and force him into bad throws this game could be over before it even starts. Nevertheless, he should still be able to pad his stats against a defense that's allowing 273 yards per game through the air. Winston will slot in as a low-end QB1 in this matchup.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston completed 21-of-43 passes for 301 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans and he rushed eight times for a team-high 53 yards.
Fantasy Spin: Winston has tossed two or more touchdowns in four of the past five outings. He bounced back nicely after his ugly five-interception performance over in London against the Panthers two weeks ago. Still, he borderline low-end QB1/high QB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 9.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston threw for 301 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to the Titans but did so on a subpar 21-for-43 passing to go along with two interceptions. While Winston did have 53 yards rushing as well as having a large hand in Mike Evans' two-touchdown, 198-yard performance (11 catches), it was still a relatively disappointing day for the veteran, who has now thrown seven picks over his last two games. With Week 8 in the books, Winston will look to get it together from an accuracy standpoint against the Seahawks in Week 9.
Buccaneers' QB Jameis Winston passed for 301 yards on 21-of-43 with two touchdowns in Sunday's game in Tennessee. He did throw two interceptions in the loss. It was Winston's 3rd consecutive 300+ yard passing game. He has averaged 234 yards passing in those games.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston had the week off to figure out exactly what went wrong in a Week 6 performance that saw him turn the ball over an ungodly six times, but a bounce-back performance may not be in the cards this week with a road matchup against the Titans on deck. The Titans underrated defense ranks 10th in passing and will hope to have a similar effect on Winston as the Patriots did on Sam Darnold. The Titans will undoubtedly try to get to Winston early and often to attempt to rattle the fifth-year signal-caller, and with how inconsistent he usually is, fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere this week to fill their QB spot. Winston will slot in as a middle-of-the-road QB2 option in this one.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston is unlikely to return to the team in 2020 with the Buccaneers expected to 'reset their sights' at quarterback via a trade or the draft, according to front-office sources.
Fantasy Spin: You know the story: Winston ranks ninth among QBs with 23.4 fantasy points per game but leads the way with a combined 15 interceptions and fumbles. The latter continues a career-long trend and is likely the main reason why the Bucs reportedly looking to move on from the former No. 1-overall pick.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston is in no danger of losing his starting job at this point, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Fantasy Spin: Winston ranks second in the league with 10 interceptions but has also thrown 12 touchdowns in six games. He played well before his Week 6 performance and still has fantasy value. He will be facing a solid Tennessee Titans defense in Week 8 but has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 quarterback.
Buccaneers' QB Jameis Winston passed for a monster 400 yards on 30-of-54 with one touchdown in Sunday's game against the Panthers. He did throw five interceptions in the loss.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston disappointed fantasy owners in a big way Sunday, completing 30-of-54 passes for 400 yards and a touchdown to go along with an absurd five interceptions. Winston wasn't given an inch on the day, getting sacked seven times and losing a fumble in the process. Anything Winston did through the first four weeks to gain fantasy owner's confidence has been thrown out the window over the last two weeks. This shouldn't come as the biggest surprise though, as inconsistency has been the theme of Winston's career. The Bucs have a bye in Week 7 before a tough matchup against the Titans in Tennessee, Winston will slot in as a mid-range QB2 for that matchup.
