The Chicago Bears signed free-agent return specialist, wide receiver and part-time running back Cordarrelle Patterson to a two-year, $10 million deal on Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The contract boasts $5 million guaranteed. Patterson is a two-time All-Pro and showed his versatility in helping the Patriots win another Super Bowl last year. He had 21 catches for 247 yards and three touchdowns while also having 42 carries for 228 yards and a touchdown and 28.8 yards per kick return on 23 attempts. It'll be interesting to see what packages Bears head coach Matt Nagy concocts for Patterson, but ultimately he's unlikely to touch the ball enough to give him much fantasy appeal.
Free-agent WR Cordarrelle Patterson (Patriots) officially agreed to terms with the Chicago Bears Wednesday, March 13.
New England Patriots impending free-agent WR Cordarrelle Patterson agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal with the Chicago Bears Tuesday, March 12, according to a source.
Fantasy Spin: Patterson is a jack of all trades and an enticing weapon in Matt Nagy's creative offense. He'll need to share the ball with Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller, Tarik Cohen and others, but Patterson is worth a late-round flier.
New England Patriots WRs Cordarrelle Patterson and Chris Hogan could be allowed to leave via free agency, in the opinion of Forbes' J.P. Pelzman, who also believes the team could release LB Dont'a Hightower and S Devin McCourty to free up more than $15 million in salary cap space.
Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley and WR Tavon Austin and New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson and WR Chris Hogan could be options for the Detroit Lions in free agency, according to Nate Atkins of MLive.com. Atkins believes the Lions will want a veteran presence in the slot to pair with WR Kenny Golladay.

Fantasy Spin: Patterson has been involved in the running and passing game this season and has posted at least 50 total yards in three of the last five games. He could be a flex option in some playoff fantasy leagues since there are not a lot of options available but is not a must-start option.
New England Patriots RB/WR Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) is active for the team's Divisional Round playoff game versus the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, Jan. 13.
New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 10, and has been removed from the injury list for the Divisional Round playoff game.
Fantasy Spin: Patterson could be involved in the running and passing game this week but likely will only see a handful of touches. He could be a flex option in some leagues but can also be benched if owners have better options available.
New England Patriots wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) practiced in full on Wednesday. Patterson was held out of Week 17 as a precaution and should return to face the Chargers this Sunday in the divisional round. Patterson's role could increase now that Josh Gordon is no longer in the fold, but he's more of a gadget player and will still probably have the biggest impact in the return game. There's very little upside to select him in DFS games.
New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) practiced in full Wednesday, Jan. 9.
Fantasy Spin: During the regular season Patterson wasn't much of a fantasy option, but in postseason pools he has some WR4 or flex appeal, especially as he battles Phillip Dorsett for the No. 3 duties with Josh Gordon no longer in the picture. Patterson could also have an impact in the return game this weekend.
New England Patriots TE Dwayne Allen (knee) and DL Deatrich Wise Jr. (ankle) were listed as limited participants Wednesday, Jan. 9, while CB Devin McCourty (concussion) and WR Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) practiced in full.
New England Patriots wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) is inactive for Week 17 against the Jets. Patterson has been mostly a gadget player with Rex Burkhead, James White and Sony Michel forming a three-headed backfield monster behind Tom Brady. With Josh Gordon no longer with the team, it'll be Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett mainly in three-receiver sets. With tight end Rob Gronkowski looking nothing like his elite self in the passing game, Dorsett may have some deep DFS sleeper appeal.

The New England Patriots have declared TE Jacob Hollister, DL Adrian Clayborn, C James Ferentz, CB Duke Dawson, S Obi Melifonwu, WR Cordarrelle Patterson and DL Keionta Davis inactive for Week 17.

Fantasy Spin: Patterson has had a solid offensive role during the second half of the season and likely will see a handful of touches if he is active this week. He probably can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.
New England Patriots wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) was limited in practice on Friday and is questionable for Week 17 against the Jets in the regular season finale. Tight end Dwayne Allen (knee) is also questionable. Patterson saw just five touches in Week 16 without Josh Gordon around and remains a desperation fantasy play as a utility player in New England's offense. He should be avoided if you're playing for a fantasy title in Week 17.
New England Patriots TE Jacob Hollister (hamstring) did not practice for a second straight day Friday, Dec. 28, has been ruled out for Week 17 versus the New York Jets. OL LaAdrian Waddle (illness) did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable. Fantasy Spin: Patterson was involved in the running game earlier in the season but posted his most rushing yards against the Bills. He suffered an injury during the game, so his status for Week 17 is uncertain. Owners in most leagues can avoid Patterson even if he is able to play.
