2019 RTSports Outlook

Callaway had a pretty good rookie year, serving as a solid deep threat for the Browns offense. He had 43 receptions for 586 yards and five touchdowns. Callaway had three or more receptions 10 of 16 games, showing consistency in the offense. The addition of Odell Beckham clouds things for Callaway going forward, though. He likely is No. 3 or 4 on the depth chart in-stead of battling for a chance to start this year. Callaway is an explosive player. He is very good after the catch and can make a big play in a hurry. He lacks a little bulk, though, and can get pushed around some in coverage.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Callaway might get a few chances to stretch the field but isn't going to help many fantasy teams this year. He could get around 40 catches for 600 yards with a few scores. He is not worth a roster spot unless injury hits the Browns at receiver.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Last year, the Cleveland Browns drafted Antonio Callaway and he was a popular sleeper pick for fantasy owners owing to the teams perceived weakness at the wide receiver position outside of Jarvis Landry, who the team had traded for prior to the NFL Draft. But the Browns landed a huge asset this offseason, trading for Giants star receiver Odell Beckham Jr., which leaves Callaway in a precarious position. Hes still got the speed to give quarterback Baker Mayfield a deep threat, but with Landry serving as the teams best underneath option, Beckham able to work down the field, and tight end David Njoku able to make a strong impact as well, projecting what Callaway will do this year will be difficult. He could emerge as a great field stretching option, someone similar to Houstons Will Fuller, or he could be a non-entity in an offense with this many mouths to feed. Drafting Callaway in the latter rounds of your fantasy drafts is a move that presents good upside, but also enough risk that you may want to look into similarly ranked receivers whose 2019 positions are more secure. Callaways best case scenario is likely not going to be higher than the WR3 tier unless injuries occur, and his downside is that he could finish outside of the top-70 at wide receiver.

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway has improved his game, according to QB Baker Mayfield, and Mayfield said he is 'very happy' with what he's seen out of Callaway during spring practices.

Fantasy Spin: Callaway has a good chance to open the year as the No. 3 receiver because of his ability to stretch the field, but he will be an all-or-nothing fantasy option in that role. He's a late-round lottery ticket, at best.

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway was one of the more impressive players during offseason workouts, according to head coach Freddie Kitchens.

Fantasy Spin: Callaway likely will be a top three receiver for the Browns this season and should receive a decent amount of targets in the passing game. He has the chance to be a No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway said he wants to post at least 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.

Fantasy Spin: Callaway probably will be behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry in terms of targets this upcoming season but should still have a decent role in the passing game. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on him during the preseason because he could be a late-round option in some leagues.

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway has set goals of 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns for his second pro season.

Fantasy Spin: That would double his rookie output of 586 yards and five scores, but with target monsters Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry also at the position and TE David Njoku in the mix as well, Callaway might do well coming close to his 2018 numbers. He's a end-of-the-draft WR flyer at best.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Antonio Callaway has been showing more explosiveness at organized team activities this week. He led the Browns in receiving touchdowns and finished third in yards in his rookie season in 2018, so there is plenty of upside remaining. He was a fourth-round pick in 2017 but missed the entire season. The Browns offense should be much more explosive this year with the addition of Odell Beckham Jr., but that might also hurt Callaway's upside in this offense. Callaway finished with 43 catches for 586 yards and five touchdowns in 2018. The 22-year-old is certainly worth a late-round flier for receiver depth, but his ups and downs could continue this season.

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway has 'added some explosiveness,' according to head coach Freddie Kitchens. 'He is in good shape relative to what he was in last year during training camp. He has added some explosiveness. He has been catching the ball really well. He is doing a good job. Just like everybody else, he has to continue,' Kitchens said.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Antonio Callaway had his marijuana charge dropped on Thursday, according to his lawyer Kevin Spellacy. Callaway pleaded guilty to speeding on Oct. 14 in a hearing on Jan. 25. He paid $911 in fines and court costs and received one year of monitored probation for driving with a suspended license. The team's fourth-round pick last year must be on his best behavior to avoid a suspension from the league, however. The 22-year-old caught 43 passes for 586 yards and led the team with five touchdowns in his first year. If he can stay out of further trouble, Callaway should take the next step as the team's deep threat in an offense that is only getting better.
