2019 RTSports Outlook

Prescott posted his usual consistent fantasy numbers as the starter for the Cowboys. He was 11th overall in fantasy scoring and had 28 total touchdowns for the second straight season. Prescott had eight multiple touchdown games and scores all but three games. He threw for a career-high 3,885 yards, getting a few more chances to air it out compared to past seasons. He also saw his numbers take off last year after the team acquired Amari Cooper, giving him a true No. 1 receiver. Prescott will continue to start for the Cowboys and serve as their top signal caller. Prescott is an accurate quarterback that makes great decisions. He does a good job of taking care of the football but isn't afraid to take chances down the field. He also can make plays with his legs, rushing for more than 900 yards while scoring six rushing touchdowns each of his first three seasons in the NFL. The Cowboys are more of a run-first team but Prescott gets his weekly chances in this offense.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Prescott is just outside the group of top-10 quarterbacks. He is consistent most weeks but not off the charts. Consider him more of a platoon option for fantasy teams, pairing him with another solid quarterback. His passing yardage numbers won't be off the charts, but he'll score around 30 touchdowns and run for around 300 yards.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Dak Prescott is a middle of the road fantasy backup that will have five or six standout performances. There are just so many quality quarterbacks to choose from in 2019, and Prescott sits in that third tier with guys like Lamar Jackson and Jameis Winston. I would recommend paying attention to his schedule if youre going to draft him. The Cowboys do have some tough games against defenses like the Patriots, Bears, Bills and Jets. Just make sure whoever your starter may be has solid matchups in those weeks. You dont want your starter on a bye or in a tough matchup with the one time you have to use Prescott is against an elite defense. If Prescott fits your team and lines up well with your starter, hes a great QB2 that has running upside and is safe through the air in the right matchups. Target him in the last couple rounds of your draft if you have a deep bench, and don't worry if you have to make a pivot to one of the other seven or eight quarterbacks with similar upside.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is a great starting option in Week 11 fantasy lineups. Prescott is coming off a strong 397-yard performance last week and gets a Detroit Lions Defense that has been very generous to opposing quarterbacks. Prescott has emerged quite a bit this season and proved it last week when he led the offense extremely well despite Ezekiel Elliott being almost completely shut down. Dak is a top-five quarterback for Week 11.

Nov 11 1:43am ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 28 of 46 passes for 397 yards, three touchdowns and an interception against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Fantasy Spin: Prescott and the passing attack looked borderline unstoppable for much of Sunday night, but the team insisted on force feeding Ezekiel Elliott, even in the two-minute drill, and the Cowboys eventually came up short. Statistically, this was Prescott's best game since Week 1, even if his final heave turned into an interception on a Hail Mary. He should be in line for another good one in Week 11 against a Lions team that just gave up three TD passes to Mitchell Trubisky.

From TheHuddle

Nov 11 12:40am ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott tossed three touchdowns and one interception in a Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Prescott completed 28 of his 46 pass attempts for 397 yards. He didn't add any yards on the ground in this one though. Prescott's touchdowns went to Randall Cobb, Michael Gallup, and Amari Cooper. It was a solid performance from Prescott, and his one interception came on a last-second Hail Mary into the end zone.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 12:43pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott did not make any progress in contract extension talks with the Cowboys during the bye week, and the two sides have not had serious negotiations for a while, according to sources. Prescott will be a candidate for the franchise tag this offseason if he does not sign a long-term contract before the start of free agency.

Fantasy Spin: Prescott has played well for the Cowboys over the last few years and likely will remain with the Cowboys for at least one more season. Prescott can be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback against most opponents.

From TheHuddle

Nov 6 11:20am ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott faces a tough challenge in a Week 10 Sunday Night Football matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings Defense currently ranks 12th in the league against opposing quarterbacks. In what could end up being a low-scoring game, Prescott is shaping up as more of a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 this week. He's still a starting option in most formats, but fantasy owners with multiple quarterbacks on their roster may want to go elsewhere this week.

From RotoBaller

Nov 4 11:43pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Dak Prescott completed 22-of-35 passes for 257 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the Week 9 game against the New York Giants on Monday, Nov. 4.

Fantasy Spin: It Prescott's first three-touchdown game since back in Week 2 against the Redskins, and he hasn't had a 300-yard game since Week 5. He remains a borderline low-end QB1 or must-start QB2 in all fantasy leagues. It's a difficult matchup on Sunday night in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings.

From TheHuddle

Nov 4 11:40pm ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott played mostly well on Monday Night Football in Week 9. He completed 22 of his 35 pass attempts for 257 yards and three touchdowns. He threw an interception and fumbled once, adding 12 yards on the ground on three carries. Prescott was a bit inefficient, but he made the plays he needed to make, leading the Cowboys to an easy divisional win over the New York Giants.

From RotoBaller

Nov 1 11:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott faces the New York Giants in Week 9, and Prescott has thrown 13 touchdowns and no interceptions in his last five games against the Giants, throwing for 405 yards and four touchdowns in a Week 1 meeting this season.

Fantasy Spin: The Giants have struggled to defend the pass all season, and even if Prescott doesn't duplicate his Week 1 performance, he is still a good bet to deliver QB1 production.

From TheHuddle

Oct 30 11:30am ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is one of the top-five options at the position in Week 9. The Cowboys will hit the road for a Monday Night Football matchup against the New York Giants and their very generous defense. Prescott is being ranked somewhere from QB3-6 for this one, and should have a strong floor to go along with a very high ceiling. Coming off their bye week mostly healthy, the Cowboys should have no trouble putting up plenty of points on their division rival.

From RotoBaller

Oct 25 10:20pm ET

The Dallas Cowboys expect to eventually work out a contract extension with quarterback Dak Prescott, but they are seeking a team-friendly deal that will allow them to build a team around Prescott. The quarterback is expected to get something above the $32 million per year in new money that the Eagles gave Carson Wentz. Owner Jerry Jones said no deals are imminent with Prescott or wide receiver Amari Cooper. Prescott started the year off hot, throwing nine touchdowns and two interceptions in the first three games. Over the last four games, he's tossed only three TDs and five interceptions. He should be able to reward fantasy owners with QB1 numbers in Week 9 against the Giants coming off the bye.

From RotoBaller

Oct 21 12:40am ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott accounted for two touchdowns in Week 7. He completed 21 of his 27 passes, gaining 239 yards and throwing one touchdown and one interception. He added five carries, adding 30 yards and another touchdown. Prescott's passing score was a one-yard toss to Blake Jarwin, and his rushing score came on an eight-yard run in the fourth quarter. It was an overall productive day for Prescott, although the Dallas running game was really mostly in charge. The Cowboys go into their bye week comfortably in first place in the NFC East.

Oct 21 12:33am ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott went 21-of-27 for 239 yards with one touchdown and one interception in Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles. He also added five carries for 30 yards and another touchdown.

Fantasy Spin: Prescott didn't quite play at the level he did over the first three weeks in this one, but he didn't need to either. After failing to throw for a score in two of his previous three games (and getting two TDs in garbage time in the other), the fourth-year quarterback did a good job of taking what was available to him against the Eagles' soft coverage. Prescott will be on the QB1 radar after his team's bye when the Cowboys visit the New York Giants in Week 9.

From TheHuddle

Oct 16 11:30am ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is set up well for a strong performance on Sunday Night Football in Week 7. The Cowboys will host the division rival Philadelphia Eagles in what should be one of the better games of the week. The Eagles Defense has been awful at limiting opposing quarterbacks, so Prescott has a chance to go off this week to make up for the losses that are starting to pile up. He may be without his top receiver though, as Amari Cooper is recovering from a thigh bruise that forced him to make an early exit in the loss against the Jets. Still, Prescott is a solid mid-range QB1 for the first-place matchup against the Eagles.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 9:20pm ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott struggled in Week 6, throwing for just 277 scoreless yards. Dak completed 28 passes on 40 tries, but was able to add 11 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The New York Jets Defense somehow managed to keep the Cowboys passing game out of the end zone, partly because Amari Cooper (quad) was forced to leave the game after only making one catch. Prescott will hope for better results next week against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 8:13pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 28-of-40 passes for 277 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 6 against the New York Jets and he added a rushing score in the road loss.

Fantasy Spin: Prescott has failed to throw a touchdown pass in two of his past three outings, and he has eclipsed the 300-yard mark (actually going over 400) in two outings. He was on fire early on, but has cooled considerably to settle into the low-end QB1/high-end QB2 fantasy territory. Prescott and the Cowboys will try to bounce back on Sunday Night Football in Week 7 against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 1:00pm ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will look for a more even performance in Week 6 against the New York Jets. Prescott threw for a career-high 463 yards, but was picked off three times and threw just two touchdowns. The Packers Defense was giving him fits and forcing him to throw before he was ready much of the time. It should be much smoother sailing against the Jets, but the danger in fantasy is that running back Ezekiel Elliott will take over the offense and leave Prescott to just wind down the clock as the Cowboys nurse an early lead. Prescott will be a QB1, but he's on the lower half of that list for this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Oct 8 4:25pm ET

Dallas Cowboys' QB Dak Prescott scored an impressive 30.85 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 5 loss against the Packers. Prescott threw for 463 yards on 27-of-44 with two touchdowns and three interceptions. It's the 4th time this season Prescott scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Oct 7 12:23am ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 27 of 44 passes for 463 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions during the team's Week 5 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Prescott added 27 yards on four rushing attempts.

Fantasy Spin: Prescott threw for a ton of yards, but much of that came after the team fell behind 31-3 in the third quarter. It was definitely an uneven performance from the fourth-year QB, especially on the turnover front. His first pick went off the hands of Amari Cooper, but his other two were right to the defender -- he had a fourth INT erased on a defensive penalty and another possible one that was dropped by Kevin King. After consecutive losses, Dallas' offense has a chance to get healthy in Week 6 against the woeful Jets.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 8:30pm ET

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had some bright spots and a few low spots in Week 5. He ended up completing 27 of his 44 pass attempts, gaining 463 yards. He threw two touchdowns but also three interceptions. Prescott added four runs for another 27 yards on the ground. With the Cowboys trailing for most of the game, Prescott was forced to throw a bunch, and throw a bunch he did. While Prescott almost brought his team all the way back from a 31-3 deficit, it wasn't enough in the end. Still, he put up plenty of points for his fantasy owners. He'll be a QB1 again in Week 6 against the New York Jets "defense."

From RotoBaller

Oct 6 8:30pm ET

Cowboys' QB Dak Prescott passed for a phenomenal 463 yards on 27-of-44 with two touchdowns in Sunday's game against the Packers. He did throw three interceptions in the loss.
