Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard, who will be a free agent in March, said he hopes to be back with the team in 2020. The 25-year-old has been recovering from a shoulder stinger that he suffered on Nov. 3 against the Bears, but he didn't see the field at all in the wild-card loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. Howard finished with 119 carries for 525 yards and six rushing touchdowns in his injury-plagued 2019 season. As more of an early-down ball-handler and not much of a pass-catcher, Howard's fantasy ceiling is limited. With impressive rookie Miles Sanders taking over the backfield with Howard out this year, Howard would likely see a smaller role next year if he remains with the Eagles.

From RotoBaller

Dec 27 5:23pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 27, and is not on the injury report for Week 17.

Fantasy Spin: Howard will return to the lineup after missing multiple weeks because of his shoulder injury. He likely will see limited carries during the game since Miles Sanders has taken over the starting job. Fantasy players may be able to find better options for their lineups and can keep Howard on the bench.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 4:33pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor (knee) and TE Zach Ertz (rib, back) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 17 versus the New York Giants. OT Lane Johnson (ankle) also did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. CB Jalen Mills (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is also listed as questionable. WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside (foot), DE Derek Barnett (ankle), OG Brandon Brooks (calf), DT Fletcher Cox (triceps) and RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 27, and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 12:10pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard (shoulder) has been cleared for Week 17 against the Giants and is "good to go," according to head coach Doug Pederson. Howard has been out since Nov. 3 against the Bears, a span of six games. As a result, his workload will be monitored, making him an easy fade alongside rookie Miles Sanders and Boston Scott. In the great matchup against New York in a game in which the Eagles will win the NFC East if they emerge victorious, Sanders will be a low-end RB1 for those still playing for a fantasy championship.

From RotoBaller

Dec 27 12:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard will be third running back in Week 17 behind RB Miles Sanders and RB Boston Scott.

Fantasy Spin: Howard has no starting luster in fantasy this week. Miles Sanders remains a low-end RB1 or an elite RB2.

From TheHuddle

Dec 26 5:43pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) remained a limited participant at practice Thursday, Dec. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Howard has a chance to return for the regular-season finale against the New York Giants. Rookie RB Miles Sanders is coming off his best game of the season in Week 16, securing a role for himself even upon Howard's return. At best for Howard, the two will evenly split the backfield work. He's a risky flex option if back on the field this week.

From TheHuddle

Dec 26 11:33am ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) is expected to be cleared for contact Thursday, Dec. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Head coach Doug Pederson also said they would ride the hot hand in Miles Sanders. So you can't expect a lot out of Howard in the season finale against the New York Giants. It's not a great matchup, but Howard is worthy of flex consideration on his own merits. There are just too many negatives against him this week, which should keep him on your bench.

From TheHuddle

Dec 25 2:53pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 25. The Eagles did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Howard is expected to return to the lineup, but fantasy players will need to check the inactive list to make sure. He will share playing time with Miles Sanders and Boston Scott if he is active but could be a flex option in some leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 24 5:20pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard (shoulder) is expected to return to the Eagles lineup in Week 17. Howard hasn't played since Week 9 due to a shoulder injury, be he's scheduled to return for a game that the Eagles must win. His role is yet to be determined, as the Eagles will likely want to protect him from re-aggravating the injury. That combined with the fact that rookie Miles Sanders has looked explosive in a featured role lately makes Howard a tough sell as anything more than a touchdown-dependent DFS option.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 5:23pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) is expected to be available for the Week 17 game.

Fantasy Spin: Miles Sanders and Boston Scott have been playing well over the last few weeks, so Howard's offensive role is uncertain at this point. He has a chance to be a flex option in leagues if he receives a decent amount of touches.

From TheHuddle

Dec 23 5:20pm ET

The Philadelphia Eagles will get running back Jordan Howard (shoulder) back in Week 17 against the Giants. As a result, the Eagles are releasing running back Jay Ajayi, according to a source. Howard has missed six straight games, but the Eagles will have him back in the regular season finale. If they win, they win the AFC East after defeating Dallas in Week 16. Rookie Miles Sanders has become a high-end RB2 of late with Howard sidelined, but Howard's return will make him a more volatile RB2 against New York. It'll be hard to get behind Howard in fantasy if you have a fantasy title on the line given how long he's been out.

From RotoBaller

Dec 22 3:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard (shoulder) and wide receiver Nelson Agholor (knee) are both officially inactive for Week 16 against the Cowboys. This comes as no surprise. Howard has missed the last six games and Agholor will miss his third straight contest. If the Eagles lose this battle for the NFC East title, expect both players to be shut down for the Week 17 regular season finale. Rookie Miles Sanders will have RB2 upside again as the lead back with Howard out, while Boston Scott should serve as a change-of-pace option. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward and Robert Davis will be the top three receivers with Agholor out again. Ward is the best lottery ticket if you're desperate in deep leagues.

From RotoBaller

Dec 22 3:13pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 16 game.

From TheHuddle

Dec 22 3:03pm ET

The Philadelphia Eagles have declared OT Lane Johnson, DL Shareef Miller, OG Sua Opeta, QB Nate Sudfeld, RB Jordan Howard, OG Nate Herbig and WR Nelson Agholor inactive for Week 16.

From TheHuddle

Dec 22 12:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) is not expected to play in Week 16's game against the Dallas Cowboys because he has not fully recovered from a shoulder nerve injury sustained in Week 9.

Fantasy Spin: Howard had been listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited practice participant throughout the week. Miles Sanders will continue to serve as Philadelphia's lead running back as long as Howard is sidelined and should be viewed as no worse than an RB2 in all fantasy formats. Boston Scott and Jay Ajayi will also receive a handful of carries this afternoon but probably won't have much fantasy relevance.

From TheHuddle

Dec 22 10:00am ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard (shoulder) is expected to be inactive against the Cowboys in Week 16. Howard hasn't played since Week 9, and with Miles Sanders and Boston Scott playing well, the team doesn't need to rush Howard back to the field. Sanders in particular should be set for a strong performance against the Cowboys, while Scott could be peppered in enough to have flex appeal in deep leagues. Fantasy owners with Week 17 games who are still holding Howard might be safe to move on from him at this point, especially if Philly loses to Dallas on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 5:13pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: Howard has been in a similar situation over the last several weeks and has not been able to play. Fantasy players can check the inactive list for his status but probably should use other players in their lineups.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 4:23pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles OT Lane Johnson (ankle) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 16 versus the Dallas Cowboys. WR Nelson Agholor (knee) also did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. DE Derek Barnett (ankle), RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) and CB Avonte Maddox (knee) were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 20, and are also listed as questionable. WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside (foot) was also limited in practice for a second straight day on Friday but no longer appears on the injury report. OG Brandon Brooks (calf), DT Fletcher Cox (triceps) and CB Ronald Darby (hip) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 4:00pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor (knee) and running back Jordan Howard (shoulder) are listed as questionable for Week 16 against the Cowboys. Agholor missed practice all week and is unlikely to play. He could also be shut down for Week 17 and beyond it the Eagles make the postseason. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward and Robert Davis will continue to work in three-receiver sets, but tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert will be the primary pass-catchers. Howard still hasn't been cleared for contact and is also on the wrong side of questionable. Rookie Miles Sanders is setting up as an RB2 again on Sunday, with Boston Scott spelling him. Right tackle Lane Johnson (ankle) has been ruled out, which is bad news for this offense overall.

From RotoBaller

Dec 19 6:33pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 19.

Fantasy Spin: Howard still needs to be cleared for contact, so it appears like he will miss another game because of the injury and should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.
