New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (toe) is believed to be dealing with turf toe and expected to miss 'some time,' according to a source via NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Spin: Week 2 marked the first time in Daniel Jones' pro career that he had Saquon Barkley, Shepard, Golden Tate, Darius Slayton and Evan Engram all available at the same time, but it was short-lived and obviously won't happen again in 2020 with Barkley's ACL injury. Assuming Shepard misses at least a couple of games, Slayton and Tate are good bets to flirt with WR3 production, although starting either player will come with limited upside against the San Francisco Giants in Week 3.

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (toe) is believed to be dealing with turf toe after getting injured in the Week 2 loss to the Bears, according to a source. Shepard will undergo an MRI exam on Monday, but this is an injury that typically requires a wide receiver to miss some time. With running back Saquon Barkley (knee) done for the year with an ACL tear, the G-Men lost two of their best offensive weapons in the same game. Fantasy managers of Shepard should be planning on him missing multiple weeks. Darius Slayton, Golden Tate and tight end Evan Engram will be the team's top three receiving options for quarterback Daniel Jones if Shepard misses time.

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (toe) will miss the remainder of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. The veteran isn't a stranger to injuries as he has missed a considerable amount of time throughout his tenure in the league. Nonetheless, this isn't good news for the Giants as the team also lost running back Saquon Barkley (knee) for the rest of the afternoon. Look for Golden Tate III, Evan Engram, and Darius Slayton to continue to be the primary targets for Daniel Jones.

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (toe) suffered a toe injury during the Week 2 game and is questionable to return.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should monitor the situation to see if Shepard is able to return. Golden Tate and Darius Slayton would be the main receivers for the Giants if Shepard misses time and both could be starting options for players.

Sep 19 1:10pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Sheppard was a big part of the Giants offense in Week 1 and will look to carry that momentum into a road game vs the Bears. Shepard caught all six of his targets for 47 yards as he was the primary short-area target for Daniel Jones. If Golden Tate (hamstring) suits up that could cut into Shepard's target share, but he is still a solid WR3/flex play for fantasy managers, especially in PPR. Shepard would get a big boost in his fantasy appeal if Tate sits.

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard finished with six catches and 47 yards on six targets in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard was overshadowed by Darius Slayton in this one, but he was one of three G-Men to post six receptions. He'll get plenty of looks and remains a decent WR4 or flex fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams. The Giants travel to meet the Bears in Week 2.

Sep 14 11:20pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard caught all six of his targets for 47 yards in a loss to the Steelers Monday night. Shepard posted an impressive 68 percent catch rate last season as a slot receiver and got off to a good start in that department again this season. He has more value in PPR formats as he gets mostly short-area targets and converts them into a lot of catches, but not a ton of yards. He'll have a better matchup in Week 2 vs Chicago.

Sep 5 8:20pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard will look to match his strong numbers from 2018 after a disappointing 2019 season. Two years ago, when Shepard played all 16 games, he put up 872 yards and four touchdowns on 66 catches. He's capable of better numbers than that in what should be an improved Giants offense, but he needs to stay healthy. Sheppard missed six games last season with a concussion and has concussion issues going back to high school. If he gets hit wrong, he could be a higher risk than some to miss time, but he has 1,000-yard receiver upside if healthy.

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard is entering the 2020 season as the longest-tenured Giant, and said Friday, Aug. 7, in a Zoom media conference call that 'I might have to shake the 'young' Shep.' He added that he plans to set a 'good example' for his younger teammates.

Fantasy Spin: Shephard, still only 27, has caught at least 57 passes in all four seasons in N.Y., including 57 in 10 games last season. He's a WR4 with upside, particularly in PPR leagues.

Jun 10 8:30pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard's multiple concussions in 2019 is a cause of major concern for the organization. The 27-year-old was relegated to just 10 games last season after sustaining two head injuries throughout the year, which ultimately caused the former Sooner to log the worst campaign of his career. Shepard finished last season with 57 catches for 576 yards and three scores, a significant drop from the previous year, and a massive decline from his rookie output. The wideout has dealt with concussions dating back to his high school playing days, with one more potentially signifying the end to his playing career.
