Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers will have a new coach for the first time since 2006, and Packers RB Aaron Jones is fully confident in Rodgers' ability to establish a good working relationship with head coach Matt LaFleur. 'I don't think Aaron will have a problem,' Jones said recently on NFL Network. 'He'll pick it up very quickly. He's coachable, and he wants to win, and he's a team player, and he's a leader, so we're all going to get behind our leader and we're going to be ready to go this year.'

Fantasy Spin: For whatever reason, Rodgers and the offense didn't seem to click during the last few seasons of the Mike McCarthy coaching era, and the QB finished 2018 with his lowest full or near-full-season TD pass total (25) of his career. Rodgers' fantasy stock as taken a minor ding, but he remains a solid QB1 consideration.

Feb 19 3:03am ET

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers will not be asked to run a dramatically different offense than the one he has operated for most of his career, according to offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. 'When you take a guy like Aaron Rodgers, who is a very good football player, I mean, he's kind of one of those guys where you can kind of pretty much do a lot of everything. I think a lot of it is going to carry over. I think some of the language will be different but it's going to be a lot of the same premises for him,' Hackett told

Fantasy Spin: Rodgers is unlikely to be the overall QB1 in drafts this summer following the emergence of Patrick Mahomes, but he'll come off the board shortly thereafter as the QB2 or QB3. It will also be interesting to see how receptive the 35-year-old will be to the schemes of new head coach Matt LaFleur and Hackett, although it's hard to imagine he'll drop off considering how vanilla Mike McCarthy had become with his play-calling in recent years.

Feb 11 1:43am ET

The Green Bay Packers may look to sign a veteran in free agency to play behind QB Aaron Rodgers, in the opinion of Packers Wire's Zach Kruse, who lists QBs Ryan Fitzpatrick (Buccaneers), Matt Schaub (Falcons), Robert Griffin III (Redskins), Sean Mannion (Rams) and Austin Davis (Titans) as possible fits; everyone on the list except Fitzpatrick previously played for head coach Matt LaFleur earlier in their careers.

Feb 4 2:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee), who suffered a sprained left knee in Week 1 against the Bears, was able to avoid surgery and should be able to fully participate in the team's offseason program. The 35-year-old wore a brace until Nov. 4 and also sustained a concussion in the season finale. "I feel great," Rodgers said on NFL Network. "My body feels really good. Instead of getting surgery postseason, decided to kind of go through a different routine with my knee than I've done in the past, and I'm feeling really, really good. Got a concussion the last game, that's cleared up. I'm feeling really good." It's the same knee Rodgers had ACL repair on in college and he had a cleanup of his left knee a few years ago. 2018 was a down year for Rodgers, mainly because of the injury, but he could easily bounce back as a high-end QB1 in 2019 if he's healthy.

Feb 4 1:43pm ET

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) is expected to be able to fully participate in the team's offseason program and will not require surgery on the left knee that hindered him throughout various points of the 2018 season.

Fantasy Spin: Rodgers, who also has experienced no setbacks from the concussion he suffered in the regular-season finale, told the NFL Network his body feels "really good," and ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports the 35-year-old quarterback will make his annual appearance in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week. The Packers can begin their offseason program on April 1. Rodgers figures to be the second or third quarterback to come off fantasy draft boards this summer.

Feb 3 8:43pm ET

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (concussion, knee) said that he has recovered from the concussion he suffered at the end of the season and has decided not to undergo knee surgery this offseason.

Fantasy Spin: Rodgers had a down year by his standards, but he still finished with 25 touchdowns compared to just two interceptions. He is no longer the No. 1 fantasy quarterback, but he should still be a reliable QB1 in 2019.

Jan 14 6:40pm ET

The Green Bay Packers hired former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as their new offensive coordinator on Monday, according to sources. Hackett is known as more of a run-first offensive mind, but he'll also challenge and engage veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers in an offense that struggled in 2018. Green Bay ranked 12th in yards per game (369.1), ninth in passing yards per game (264.9), 22nd in rushing yards per game (104.2) and 14th in points per game (23.5).

Jan 7 9:20pm ET

The Green Bay Packers hired Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur as their new head coach on Monday, according to people with knowledge of the situation. LaFleur, 39, spent one year with the Titans after serving as the offensive coordinator for the Rams in 2017. Tennessee's offense wasn't special with quarterback Marcus Mariota hurt for much of the year, but LaFleur coordinated a potent LA offense in 2017. He's also worked under Kyle Shanahan in Atlanta and helped Matt Ryan win the MVP in 2016. LaFleur gets to work with an elite quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, a strong No. 1 wideout in Davante Adams and a solid up-and-coming young running back in Aaron Jones, so Green Bay's offense should be able to improve in 2019. LaFleur also has three promising receivers that will be in their second seasons in Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Equanimeous St. Brown and J'mon Moore.

Dec 30 6:00pm ET

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (concussion) left a Week 17 matchup against the Detroit Lions early in the game to be evaluated for a concussion. He was diagnosed with a concussion and did not re-enter the game. Rodgers finished the game with three completions for 26 yards and no touchdowns. With Green Bay missing the playoffs, Rodgers season is now over. Rodgers was projected as the top fantasy quarterback in the preseason this year. Many predicted that he would rebound from a broken collarbone in 2017 and put up elite numbers. However, injuries, inconsistent play, and coaching issues resulted in production that did not meet expectations. Still, Rodgers will finish the season as a top-6 fantasy quarterback in most scoring formats. Whether or not he will return to his dominant form largely depends on who Green Bay hires as its next head coach. However, even in a worst-case scenario Rodgers will remain a very solid option in fantasy for 2019.

Dec 30 3:43pm ET

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (concussion) suffered a concussion during the Week 17 game and has been ruled out.

Fantasy Spin: Rodgers will have plenty of time to recover from the concussion and should be ready for offseason workouts. He will be working with a new offensive scheme next season but should still be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Dec 30 2:03pm ET

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (head) left the Week 17 game early and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Fantasy Spin: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Rodgers is able to return to the game. Rodgers posted solid numbers this season and will be working with a new offensive coordinator next season. He should be seen as a No. 1 fantasy quarterback in all drafts next season.

Dec 30 2:00pm ET

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (concussion) has left the Week 17 game against the Lions and is being evaluated for a concussion. It's bad news for those that are using Rodgers with something on the line in the regular season finale in a meaningless game. He was already more of a weak QB1 going into this game without wide receivers Davante Adams (knee) and Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion), who had been Rodgers' top two weapons. Rodgers had gone 3-for-5 for only 26 yards before leaving. We'd be surprised if he returns. Deshone Kizer has taken over under center.

Dec 28 6:03pm ET

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 28, and is not on the injury report for Week 17. The Packers did not hold a practice Friday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Rodgers has not posted great numbers over the last month but did throw for 442 yards and two touchdowns last week. He should still be considered a No. 1 quarterback in all leagues.

Dec 28 4:43pm ET

Green Bay Packers OT Jason Spriggs (concussion) and WR Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 28, and are listed as doubtful versus the Detroit Lions. WR Davante Adams (knee), CB Jaire Alexander (groin) and S Kentrell Brice (ankle, non-injury) also missed practice Friday but are listed as questionable. OG Lucas Patrick (abdomen) was a limited participant in practice Friday and is listed as questionable. OT David Bakhtiari (hip), DL Fadol Brown (toe) and OG Lane Taylor (knee) fully participated in practice Friday and are also listed as questionable. OT Bryan Bulaga (knee), WR Randall Cobb (concussion), TE Jimmy Graham (knee, thumb), WR Jake Kumerow (hand), LB Clay Matthews and QB Aaron Rodgers (knee, groin) were full participants at practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. All designations are estimations because the Packers did not practice Friday.

Dec 27 6:13pm ET

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (groin, knee) practiced in full Thursday, Dec. 27.

Fantasy Spin: Rodgers has been on the injury report literally all season, so it's only appropriate he remains on there for the final week. His status is never in jeopardy and he can be comfortably fired up as a high-end QB1 versus the Lions for Week 17.

Dec 26 5:23pm ET

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (knee, groin) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Rodgers wanted to start last week against the Jets even with the team out of the playoff mix, so it's likely he'll be good to go in Week 17 as he tries to finish a dismal season for the team on a rather high note.

Dec 26 5:13pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (knee), CB Jaire Alexander (groin), OT David Bakhtiari (hip), WR Randall Cobb (concussion), TE Jimmy Graham (knee, thumb), LB Clay Matthews (back), OT Jason Spriggs (concussion) and WR Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 26. S Kentrell Brice (ankle), OT Bryan Bulaga (knee), OG Lucas Patrick (abdomen) and OG Lane Taylor (knee) were limited in practice, while WR Jake Kumerow (hand) and QB Aaron Rodgers (knee, groin) practiced in full.

Dec 25 1:00pm ET

Green Bay's QB Aaron Rodgers scored an impressive 47.30 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 16 win in New York Jets. Rodgers threw for 442 yards on 37-of-55 with two touchdowns.

Dec 24 8:50am ET

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers finally delivered the monster performance that we have been waiting on all season. Against the New York Jets, he threw for 442 yards on 37-for-55 passing with two touchdowns He added two rushing touchdowns and a two-point conversion on the day. Rodgers didnt look dramatically better than he has earlier this season, things just happened to come together against a struggling Jets team. If anything, it should suggest that his struggles this season have likely been overhyped. Rodgers will have another exploitable matchup next week against the Detroit Lions. While Rodgers has not been an every week kind of player this year, he still has been a solid QB1 and deserves to be started against bad defenses in all circumstances. He should be considered a very good option for Week 17.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 9:33pm ET

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed 37 of his 55 passes for 442 yards and two touchdowns and rushed five times for 32 yards and two scores in a 44-38 win over the New York Jets in Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: It hasn't been the best fantasy season for Rodgers, but he rewarded any owner that stuck with him with a monster performance in what is the championship week in most fantasy leagues.
