Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper told reporters Monday, June 24, he isn't thinking about his expiring contract but stated,' I do want to be a Dallas Cowboy for a long time.'

Fantasy Spin: Cooper also said in a recent interview with Pro Football Talk his goal for 2019 is 2,000 receiving yards - which would be an NFL record. It's obviously an unrealistic goal, as the 25-year-old would have finished with just under 1,300 yards receiving if his nine-game totals with Dallas were extrapolated over a 16-game season. The good news for fantasy owners is he was also on a 94-catch and 10-touchdown pace with the Cowboys. If he can come close to those marks this season, he'll be a solid WR1.

May 20 7:43pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper is at a stalemate in contract extension talks with the Cowboys, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Cooper is entering the final year of his contract, so the team is looking to sign him to a long-term extension this offseason. He played well after joining the Cowboys and should receive plenty of targets this upcoming season. He can be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.

May 8 4:00pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper's contract demands on an extension have been deemed shockingly high by the Cowboys, with the team viewing the floor of his contract at $16 million annually. The team's contract talks aren't moving as fast with Cooper as they are with quarterback Dak Prescott. Dallas would like to get a deal done with Cooper before the start of the 2019 season, but there is no strict timetable. The 24-year-old was very inconsistent to open his career in Oakland after two straight 1,000-yard seasons in his first two years, but he showed he still has upside in Dallas, catching 53 passes for 725 yards and six touchdowns in his nine games with the Cowboys in 2018. His contract aside, Cooper's fantasy stock is on the rise heading into his first full season with the Cowboys.

May 4 5:23pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper hopefully will sign a contract extension with the Cowboys before the start of the 2019 regular season, according to owner/general manager Jerry Jones and executive vice president Stephen Jones.

Fantasy Spin: Cooper played very well after the trade to the Cowboys and will continue to be the main option in the passing game. He can be considered a solid No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues in 2019.

Apr 25 11:30pm ET

The Oakland Raiders selected Mississippi State safety Johnathan Abram with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. This is the selection that Oakland gained from the Cowboys when they traded receiver Amari Cooper last season. Abram had some really good seasons in college and welcomes contact in the secondary. He's a very good hitter and blitzer. Abram has very good cover skills and can also play in the nickel package well. He can cover tight ends and slot receivers and won't shy away from making plays around the line of scrimmage. The Raiders need a quarterback in the secondary, and Abram can be that for them.

Apr 22 8:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper said he has natural chemistry with QB Dak Prescott and believes they can be more productive this upcoming season. Cooper said he has been working out with Prescott this offseason to strengthen their chemistry.

Fantasy Spin: Cooper was one of the best receivers in the NFL after he was traded to the Cowboys and posted 725 yards and six touchdowns with Dallas. He will continue to be the main option in the passing game for the Cowboys and can be a No. 2 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Apr 16 5:00pm ET

The Dallas Cowboys are having active discussions on a contract extension for wide receiver Amari Cooper, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones. Cooper had two 1,000-yard seasons in his first two years with the Raiders and then disappeared and was traded to Dallas for a first-round pick last year. The 24-year-old was a godsend for a Dallas team in serious need of receiver help, and he finished with 53 catches for 725 yards and six touchdowns in just nine games for the Cowboys. The former fourth overall pick in 2015 will be a popular fantasy pick in the early rounds of drafts after he excelled in his new home.

Mar 30 1:43pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper has not started contract extension talks with the Cowboys at this point, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Cooper played very well after being traded to the Cowboys and posted 725 yards and six touchdowns in nine games after the trade. He will continue to be the main option in the passing game for Dallas and can be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Mar 2 12:33am ET

Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent WR Amari Cooper's representatives met with the organization in Indiianapolis at the NFL Scouting Combine in an attempt to work on a contract, or make headway on a deal. Cooper is expected to be among the highest-paid wide receivers upon his new deal.

Fantasy Spin: Cooper bounced back last season with 75 grabs, 1,005 yards and seven touchdowns across 15 games between Oakland and Dallas to rebound as a must-start fantasy option after a down year with the Raiders in 2017.

Jan 31 5:00pm ET

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is not expected to sign head coach Jason Garrett to a contract extension as he enters the final season of his deal in 2019, according to sources. Kellen Moore, who will turn 30 in July, was just promoted to offensive coordinator and Jon Kitna, 46, will be a first-time quarterbacks coach after coaching mostly at the high school level. Garrett led the team to the playoffs in 2018 with a 10-6 record and has a 77-59 regular season record and 3-3 playoff record in his time in Dallas. A lot will depend on how much the team can get out of quarterback Dak Prescott and whether anyone else will step up on offense behind Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper.

From RotoBaller

Jan 18 1:50pm ET

The Dallas Cowboys fired offensive coordinator Scott Linehan on Friday. The decision was mutual, according to head coach Jason Garrett. Dallas' offense finished 22nd in the league in both total offense and scoring offense, averaging just 21.2 points per game. It wasn't until the team traded for wide receiver Amari Cooper that the offense started to actually move the football with more consistency, but to be fair they didn't have many weapons outside of running back Ezekiel Elliott. The next offensive coordinator will be expected to develop a strong rapport with quarterback Dak Prescott, who is in line to receive a contract extension in the near future.

From RotoBaller

Jan 12 11:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper caught six of his nine targets for 65 yards and a touchdown in a 30-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round Saturday, Jan. 12.

Fantasy Spin: After providing a major spark to the Dallas offense after coming aboard, Cooper seems destined to be the focal point of the passing attack for the Cowboys in 2019 and a WR2 for fantasy owners.

Jan 6 1:30am ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper caught seven passes for 106 yards in Saturday's Wild Card win. Cooper was targeted nine times and was clearly quarterback Dak Prescott's preferred target. Despite Cooper's relative struggles away from Dallas, he will have to remain a huge part of the offense if the Cowboys expect to keep up with either the Rams or the Saints next week. Cooper will be a high-upside DFS play.

From RotoBaller

Jan 5 11:53pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper caught seven of his nine targets for 106 yards in a 24-22 win over the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round Saturday, Jan. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Cooper ended the regular season with three quiet games in a row, but he was back to making big plays in the Cowboys' playoff opener. He has WR1 potential for playoff contests as the clear No. 1 option in the Dallas passing attack.

Jan 5 11:30pm ET

Cowboys' WR Amari Cooper had 7 receptions for 106 yards but no touchdowns in Saturday's win against the Seahawks.

Dec 31 12:50am ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper didn't close off the season on a great note, catching just five passes for 31 yards despite being targeted 11 times. Cooper could not get on the same page as quarterback Dak Prescott, and simply has not looked like the Amari Cooper who finally showed the WR1 upside after joining the Cowboys. It's something to keep in mind for playoffs DFS players, especially with the games Blake Jarwin and Cole Beasley had while Cooper struggled.

From RotoBaller

Dec 30 8:13pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper finished with five receptions for 31 yards on 11 targets in Week 17 against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Spin: It wasn't a great fantasy performance, but it was a rather meaningless game. He'll be a highly coveted receiver for those in postseason fantasy leagues after his strong finish to the season.
