Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) underwent surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury Saturday, Dec. 14, by noted foot specialist Robert Anderson. The hope is that Jeffery is ready for the 2020 season.
Fantasy Spin: Jeffery will be 30 next season, and he has missed at least three games in four of the last five seasons. He'll likely be in the WR5 mix next season, but his upside as a top-36 receiver is waning.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (foot), who was officially placed on Injured Reserve on Thursday, is dealing with a Lisfranc injury that is expected to require surgery. He's facing many months of recovery ahead and could be in danger of not being ready for training camp next summer. Jeffery will turn 30 in February and he'll probably be avoided by most fantasy owners going into 2020 drafts after not playing in a full season since 2017. He had just 43 receptions for 490 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games for the Eagles this year. At best, Jeffery will be seen as a WR3 for fantasy owners going into next season.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) was diagnosed with a Lisfranc injury Thursday, Dec. 12, and will undergo surgery at some point in the near future, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Fantasy Spin: Jeffery was officially placed on IR earlier in the day, but we did not know exactly what injury he was dealing with. Now we do. Jeffrey faces a long rehab schedule and will be difficult to trust moving forward, as Lisfranc injuries tend to be tricky. The oft-injured receiver will turn 30 years old over the winter but figures to be a safe bet to return considering he is guaranteed $11.5 million next season. Expect Philadelphia to address the receiver position heavily this offseason.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (foot) has been placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2019 season. Jeffrey suffered the injury in Week 14 against the Giants, when he was carted off the field in the second quarter. Jeffrey caught 43 passes for 430 yards and four touchdowns on the season. The Eagles promoted Robert Davis from their practice squad in a corresponding move. With Jeffery out, the Eagles will rely more on their tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, while J.J. Arcega-Whiteside should see an uptick in targets as well.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Dec. 12. WR Robert Davis was promoted from the practice squad and free-agent WR Deontay Burnett (49ers) was signed to the practice squad.
Philadelphia Eagles DE Derek Barnett (ankle), WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) and OT Lane Johnson (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 11. CB Jalen Mills (elbow) was limited during practice, while LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (concussion) fully participated in practice.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is done for the year after suffering a non-contact foot injury during Monday night's game. Jeffery went down in the second quarter and won't return until next season. It's a huge blow to the Eagles, who have one of the thinnes9wide receiver groups in the NFL. Jeffery looked like he'd lost a step this year and it's unlikely he'll look any quicker next season. With such a shallow group at wide receiver, Jeffery will probably be back with the Eagles next season, but his days as a strong fantasy starter are almost surely behind him.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) is out for the rest of the season with a foot injury he suffered in Week 14 against the New York Giants, according to a source. The team is still reportedly gathering opinions about the exact injury, however.
Fantasy Spin: This injury wraps up yet another injury-shortened season for the 29-year-old, who has played a full season once in the last five years - averaging only 12 games over that span. Jeffrey is still due $12.75 million over each of the final two years of his deal, so he's probably not going anywhere this offseason. With Nelson Agholor also ailing, the Eagles could be forced to finish the season with Greg Ward, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and a few practice squad players at the position.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was forced to leave Monday's game against the New York Giants due to a foot injury. Jeffery limped off the field after going down while running a route in the second quarter. He was carted into the locker room from the sideline. He made zero catches on two bad targets before getting hurt. It's a devastating blow to fantasy owners who trusted Jeffery after his huge Week 13 performance, but potentially even worse for the Eagles, who are left with just Greg Ward and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside as the only wide receivers in uniform.
Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) will not return to the Week 14 game against the New York Giants due to his foot injury.
Fantasy Spin: Jeffery was carted off in the first half and immediately went to the locker room. He finished without a catch on two targets. Greg Ward Jr., JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Josh Perkins will steer the ship home at wide receiver.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) left the Week 14 game against the New York Giants in the first half due to a foot injury and he is questionable to return. He was carted off and taken to the locker room.
Fantasy Spin: With Jeffery in the locker room only J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward Jr. are available at wide receiver, and Joshua Perkins, a third-string tight end, can also line up at wideout.
The Miami Dolphins claimed wide receiver Mack Hollins off waivers from the Eagles on Wednesday. The former fourth-round pick had just 10 catches for 125 yards in 12 games for the Eagles this year and failed to capitalize with Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson missing games with injuries. Even on a Miami team with little receiver depth, Hollins should be well behind the likes of Devante Parker, Allen Hurns, Albert Wilson and perhaps even newly acquired Trevor Davis. Continue to leave Hollins on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will look for another big game with another strong matchup in Week 14. The Eagles will face off against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football with Jeffery coming off a nine-catch, 137-yard performance in which he scored a touchdown against the Dolphins. Jeffery looked completely over the ankle injury that had been hobbling him in recent weeks, and he could be in for another strong performance in the first week of the fantasy playoffs. He's a strong WR2 with upside.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery caught nine of his 16 targets for 137 yards and a touchdown in a 37-31 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 13.
Fantasy Spin: Believe it or not, Jeffery topped 100 yards for the first time this season in the loss. He draws another favorable matchup in Week 14 against the New York Giants, making Jeffery a high-upside WR3 candidate.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery caught nine of his 16 targets for 137 yards and a touchdown during the loss to Miami on Sunday. Jeffery returned from a two-game absence after suffering an ankle injury a few weeks ago and made the most of it by pulling in a 10-yard pass from Carson Wentz early in the third quarter for a score. He has a good chance to stay on track in Week 14 against a Giants Defense that is allowing a second-worst 41.09 fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 29, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.
Fantasy Spin: Jeffery has missed the last two games but should be in uniform this week. He has been targeted at least six times in six of his seven games this season and can be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.
Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday, Nov. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins. RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) remained a limited participant in practice all week and is also listed as questionable. DE Vinny Curry (non-injury), WR Nelson Agholor (knee), WR Alshon Jeffery (ankle), OT Jason Peters (knee), OG Brandon Brooks (illness), OT Lane Johnson (concussion) and QB Carson Wentz (hand) fully participated in practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 28.
Fantasy Spin: Jeffery was not able to play in Week 12 but appears to have a decent chance to play this week. He should see a solid amount of targets if he plays and can be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.
Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 28. WR Nelson Agholor (knee), RB Jordan Howard (shoulder), WR Alshon Jeffery (ankle) and OT Jason Peters (knee) were limited. OG Brandon Brooks (illness), OT Lane Johnson (concussion), QB Carson Wentz (hand) and DE Vinny Curry (non-injury) practiced in full.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Fantasy Spin: Jeffery was a game-time decision last week but was not able to play. He will have a favorable matchup if he plays this week and can be at least a No. 3 fantasy receiver.
