Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills was targeted twice in Thursday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He didn't catch either of them. It was the first time since Week 5 in 2016 that Stills was held catchless in an NFL game. Clearly, the addition of Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb means Stills isn't one of the go-to players for quarterback Deshaun Watson, even though the duo have a year of familiarity. Stills is not an option in season-long leagues and won't have value unless an injury occurs to someone ahead of him on the depth chart.
Houston Texans WR Kenny Stills (undisclosed) participated in his first practice of training camp Monday, Aug. 17.
Fantasy Spin: Stills was activated from the non-football illness list Monday. He is likely slotted for the No. 4 receiver spot with newcomers Randall Cobb and Brandin Cooks joining Will Fuller in the receivers room. Unless injuries occur to those three, Stills should see his fantasy appeal limited to deeper formats.
Houston Texans WR Kenny Stills (undisclosed) was activated from the Active/Non-Football Injury list Sunday, Aug. 16.
Fantasy Spin: Stills probably will be the team's No. 4 receiver this season, which may hurt his fantasy value. He could be a late round option in deeper leagues but probably will not be in the starting lineup much.
Houston Texans WR Kenny Stills (illness) was placed on the Active/Non-Football Illness list Friday, Aug. 7.
Fantasy Spin: It is not known how long Stills will be sidelined, but he does not appear to be in danger of missing the start of the season. His role may be smaller this season since the team added Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb during the offseason. Fantasy players in most leagues probably can avoid Stills in drafts.
Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills was arrested on Tuesday night and charged with felony intimidating participant in a legal process, misdemeanor disorderly conduct and criminal trespass for peaceful protest outside of the home of Attorney General Daniel Cameron. The protest was demanding action for Breonna Taylor's case. This will become a situation to watch to see if Stills is disciplined at all by the NFL, but it seems unlikely. Stills has familiarity with Houston's offense, but it's tough to predict his current role with Brandin Cooks, Will Fuller V and Randall Cobb all in the picture. But he should see playing time with DeAndre Hopkins out of town. He just won't have much upside unless injuries ahead of him thrust him into a prominent starting role.
Houston Texans WR Kenny Stills was among 87 people arrested Tuesday, July 14, while allegedly protesting outside of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron's home. The group was in protest demanding action for the Breonna Taylor case, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal. Stills was charged with intimidating a participant in the legal process, a felony, as well as misdemeanor disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. His arraignment was set for 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Houston Texans WR Kenny Stills has been targeted 20 yards or more downfield 30 percent of the time in his career - the fourth-highest mark in the league since 2015.
Houston Texans WR Kenny Stills caught 40 of 45 catchable targets and scored four touchdowns in 2019. Additionally, quarterbacks enjoyed a passer rating of 124.1 when throwing in his direction - the fifth-best passer rating for any receiver or tight end with at least 50 targets.
