Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones has the most career receiving yards (10,731) by age 30 in NFL history, according to ESPN.com's Field Yates.

Fantasy Spin: Yet, somehow, Jones feels a bit underrated, or least underappreciated. Over the last five years he has finished as WR2, WR7, WR6, WR2 and WR6. If you're taking him in the second round of 2019 fantasy drafts you're doing it right.

Jan 22 2:03pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones led all receivers with 24 receptions for first downs on 30 third-down targets this past season.

Fantasy Spin: Despite a slow start in the TD department (none in his first seven games) Jones also wound up leading the league in receiving yards (1,677) for the second time in the last four seasons. And even with Jones turning 30 this offseason (on Super Bowl Sunday), he remains an elite WR1 in all fantasy formats.

Jan 3 9:43pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones's contract situation isn't a concern, according to general manager Thomas Dimitroff. 'We'll take care of that business,' Dimitroff said.

Fantasy Spin: The knock on Jones has been that he doesn't catch enough touchdowns, but after piling up 113 catches for 1,677 yards and 10 games with 100-plus yards lat year, you will have a hard time finder a steadier WR1. Jones has now topped 1,400 receiving yards in five straight games.

Jan 1 1:00pm ET

Falcons' WR Julio Jones scored 28.80 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 17 win in Tampa Bay. Jones caught nine passes for 138 yards with one touchdown.

Dec 31 4:50pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones bounced back from a tough Week 16 with a big performance in Week 17 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jones caught 9-of-13 targets for 138 yards and added his eighth touchdown of the season. It was another monster week from Jones who has gone from strength to strength this season. Jones should be in line for another big year in 2019 and remains one of the top wide receivers to own in dynasty formats entering this offseason.

Dec 30 9:03pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (chest) was headed for X-rays of his chest following the Week 17 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He caught nine of his 13 targets for 138 yards and a touchdown in a 34-32 win.

Fantasy Spin: With Atlanta's season in the books, the injury shouldn't have any impact on his fantasy value moving forward. Jones finishes 2018 with a 113 catches for 1,677 yards, and he will be one of the safest bets for WR1 production again in 2019.

Dec 30 4:30pm ET

Atlanta's WR Julio Jones had 9 receptions for 138 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's win in Tampa Bay.

Dec 28 2:23pm ET

Updating previous items, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip, ribs) and RB Tevin Coleman (groin) were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 28. As was reported earlier, both Jones and Coleman are expected to play this week.

Dec 28 1:43pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ribs/hip) will play in Week 17, the team announced Friday, Dec. 29.

Fantasy Spin: As usual, fantasy GMs can count on Jones, who is in his typical WR1 slot for Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers.

Dec 27 5:53pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip, ribs) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 27.

Fantasy Spin: Owners will know more about Jones' status in the next few days. He is a must-start option if he is active for the game, but owners will need other options available in case he is ruled out.

Dec 27 1:50pm ET

Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said wide receiver Julio Jones (hip, ribs) is trending up faster than last week. He will take part in the walkthrough and could practice on Thursday. Jones continues to fight through injuries late in the year, but he should play in the Week 17 season finale against the Buccaneers in an excellent matchup as he tries to maintain his lead in receiving yardage in the NFL. Jones has four touchdowns in the last three weeks. If he's active, he's a must-start.

Dec 26 5:43pm ET

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman (groin), WR Julio Jones (hip, ribs) and OG Wes Schweitzer (back) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 26. LB Deion Jones (foot) and TE Logan Paulsen (knee, ankle) were listed as limited participants, while OT Ty Sambrailo (foot) practiced in full.

Dec 26 5:43pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip, ribs) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Fantasy Spin: It's no surprise, as Jones typically rests during mid-week sessions anyway. Circle back around on Friday when the official injury report is revealed. He might very well go down to being a game-time decision for Week 17.

Dec 24 5:20pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones (hip) rescued what would have been a disastrous fantasy outing with a touchdown in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers. Coming into the game Jones had been questionable, but was active despite the Falcons season being in the doldrums. Jones was clearly not 100% as he was targeted just five times, compared to an average of over 10 per game in the rest of the season, coming away with 21 yards and the touchdown. Going into Week 17 Jones remains a hard fantasy player to ignore, but if you do have the choice and he is still limited it might make sense to look elsewhere in a game with little riding on it for the Falcons.

Dec 23 9:43pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones ended up with four catches for 28 yards and a touchdowns on five targets in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Spin: Jones has scored at least one touchdown in three straight (four total), and he has a touchdown in six of his past eight outings (seven total). After failing to score in his first seven contests he is doing what fantasy owners expected of him when draft Jones as their No. 1 wide receiver. The Falcons finish up against the Buccaneers in Week 17.

Dec 23 11:30am ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones (hip, ribs) will be active in Week 16 against the Panthers. Jones got the green light after pregame workouts and will play against Carolina. Despite being at less than 100 percent, the league's leader in receiving yardage is a must-start for fantasy owners with everything on the line this weekend.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 11:23am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip, ribs) will be active for the team's Week 16 game.

Fantasy Spin: Jones should receive his normal workload this week despite the injuries and can be a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Dec 23 12:33am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip, ribs) is trending in the right direction but remains a game-time decision against the Carolina Panthers in Week 16, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: It's looking likely that Jones will be able to suit up, but fantasy owners should monitor the situation just to be safe.

Dec 21 6:00pm ET

Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said wide receiver Julio Jones (hip) will be a game-time decision for Week 16 against the Panthers. However, the fact that Jones was able to get some practice work in on Friday is a good sign for his availability. Jones doesn't need to practice much to play, but he's limping to the finish line and may be rested in a game with no playoff significance. If Jones does play, though, he'll be a WR1 in the fantasy finals. If he's inactive, it'll mean more work for Calvin Ridley, Mohamed Sanu, Justin Hunter and tight end Austin Hooper.

Dec 21 5:03pm ET

Updating previous reports, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip, ribs) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: Jones will be a game-time decision for the Week 16 game, so owners will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He is a must-start fantasy option when healthy, but owners should have other options available in case he sits out.
