Hill took a big step forward in year two, being used in all sorts of ways to help spark the Saints offense. He did most of his damage as a runner, rushing 37 times for 196 yards and two touchdowns. He also had three receptions on seven targets. He was 3-of-7 for 64 yards with an interception throwing the ball. Hill got most of his work out of the wildcat formation, being used more as a runner than quarterback. Expect the Saints to continue to use him in similar ways. Hill is a top athlete and playmaker. He has great speed for the quarterback spot and is a load to bring down in the open field because of his size and strength. Hill isn't much of a thrower, lacking some accuracy and touch. He is improving in that area some, though, and might get a few more chances to air it out this year.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Hill is not worth using for fantasy teams because you aren't sure how much he will be used on a weekly basis. He will be too hit or miss. Plus, Hill won't produce enough as a fantasy quarterback to play over nearly any starter in the NFL.

Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints QB Teddy Bridgewater is expected to get the starting nod for Week 3's game against the Seattle Seahawks, although QB Taysom Hill is likely to see some action during the game as well.
Fantasy Spin: Bridgewater is the better bet this week as far as streaming fantasy options go, while the bulk of Hill's action is likely to come in short-yardage and goal-line situations.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater saw ample playing time during the teams Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams after he replaced the injured Drew Brees. Bridgewater finished 17-for-30, and while he did not commit a turnover, he was unable to lead New Orleans into the end zone. Despite that, Bridgewater appears in line to start Sunday on the road against Seattle, although Taysom Hill may throw a wrench into those plans. New Orleans offensive Swiss army knife has been utilized essentially everywhere but as a passer this season, but head coach Sean Payton has left the door open for both men seeing considerable snaps. With that in mind, rostering either man seems a difficult proposition until theres further clarity to the situation.
New Orleans Saints QBs Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill will both play in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, with head coach Sean Payton declining to name a starter Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Fantasy Spin: Bridgewater is likely to play more snaps, with Hill subbing in for his regular assortment of Wildcat formation plays, especially in short-yardage situations and plays near the goal line. For those looking for a streaming option in fantasy, Bridgewater is certainly the better bet.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill played the second half of Friday's preseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Hill was 8-for-14 throwing the ball for 80 yards and a touchdown. He also added 45 rushing yards on six carries. Hill can help this Saints team in a variety of ways this year, but he won't have a big enough role to be fantasy relevant on a consistent basis, and Teddy Bridgewater appears to have a lock on the main backup role should anything happen to Drew Brees. Still, Friday was a reminder of how much fun Hill can be when he gets to touch the ball.
New Orleans Saints QB Taysom Hill completed 11 of his 15 pass attempts for 136 yards and two touchdowns and rushed five times for 53 yards in a 19-17 preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, Aug. 18.
New Orleans Saints QB Taysom Hill said he feels more comfortable with the responsibilities of being a wide receiver this season. 'I think it will be even easier because there was definitely a learning curve from a fundamental standpoint of getting out of breaks and routes and blocking all that I feel more comfortable doing that.'
