Sanders suffered a torn Achilles' late in the season, missing the last four games. He was still 23rd overall in fantasy receiver scoring despite the missed time. He had three 100-yard games and at least four receptions every game. If he plays all 16 games, Sanders finishes with 95 receptions for 1,157 yards and five touchdowns. He is 32 years old and coming off a major injury, but Sanders should be the top target in this offense once again. He has 1,000-yard seasons three of his last five. A new quarterback could be a positive for Sanders this year after some erratic play at the poison last season. Sanders has top speed and can stretch the field in a hurry. He is a big-play threat in the passing game. Sanders also isn't a bad route runner, making his niche as a legit possession receiver with the Broncos. Fantasy Outlook: Sanders isn't an elite fantasy receiver but a good No. 2 for fantasy teams. He'll get his weekly receptions and yards. Just don't expect huge touchdown totals as he has 11 the past three years. He'll get around 80 receptions for 1,000 yard and six or so scores.
Emmanuel Sandershas now had back-to-back seasons where he has missed time due to injury. While on the field, his numbers have fallen due to poor play from the quarterback position as well. The latest injury (Achilles) has long recovery time and is something that owners should factor in as they prepare for drafts. With Sanders not expected to be ready until July, he will ultimately start off the 2019 season slowly. With new QB Joe Flacco under center as well, he is missing out on quality snaps to develop a connection. Gone will be the days of Sanders as a starting caliber player in fantasy. With younger players on the roster inCourtland Sutton and Daesean Hamilton, facing the 21st ranked schedule, and on a team that will likely be more run-based, Sanders could be in store for a long year. His current ADP as WR37 is still a little high and should come down as the summer progresses. He should only be viewed as a matchup play type of fantasy asset in 2019.

San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Fantasy Spin: Sanders did not practice last week but was able to play in Week 11, so he may not do much during practice this week. He should be a starting option in all leagues if he is active for the game.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) nabbed three balls for 33 yards before exiting with a rib injury. Entering the game questionable, Sanders saw five targets before aggravating his injury midway through the game. The 10-year veteran looked noticeably hobbled in limited snaps, gingerly getting up after each hit. In his absence, rookie wideout Deebo Samuel went off for 134 yards. Its probable Sanders will be limited this week in practice and be a game-time decision again in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers. Samuel will be a WR3 operating as the de facto No. 1 receiver.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) is officially active for the team's Week 11 game.
Fantasy Spin: Sanders has been a solid contributor for the 49ers since being acquired and will have a big part in the passing game this week. He should be considered a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (ribs), who is questionable for Week 11 against the Cardinals, will play on Sunday, according to a source. Sanders went for over 100 yards and a touchdown in his second game with San Francisco two weeks ago on Halloween against the Cardinals. He could draw a lot of Patrick Peterson in this one and probably won't be 100 percent, but it's still a great matchup and he'll at least be worth a gamble as a WR3 for fantasy owners. Sanders' presence alone lowers the upside of rookie Deebo Samuel, but he could still be heavily involved and isn't a bad flex play in this mouthwatering matchup.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) will play in Week 11's game against the Arizona Cardinals, according to a source.
Fantasy Spin: Sanders had been listed as questionable on the injury report after missing all three of the team's practice sessions during the week. He's worthy of consideration as a starting option in all fantasy formats.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (ribs), who is questionable to face the Cardinals in Week 11, said he is going to try and play on Sunday. This will come down to a game-time decision, but this gives fantasy owners a little more hope that Sanders will play this weekend. You'll need to have backup options in place in case Sanders is ruled out late in the day on Sunday. If he plays, he'll be more risky as a low-end WR2/3. The former Bronco had a big game on Halloween two weeks ago against Arizona, catching seven passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. Rookie Deebo Samuel will be a popular starting option in season-long and DFS if Sanders sits out.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 15, and is listed as questionable for Week 11.
Fantasy Spin: Sanders will be a game-time decision this week, so fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He is a risky option because he plays in one of the later games. Players will need to have other options available if they want to keep Sanders in their lineup.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) is listed as questionable for Week 11 against the Cardinals. This could be a true game-time decision, which makes things tough for fantasy owners with this game starting later Sunday afternoon. It'd be a shame if Sanders couldn't play in this juicy matchup, especially after he put up seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown against the same Cardinals just two weeks ago. Sanders is a very risky WR3 this weekend. If he sits out, rookie Deebo Samuel should benefit the most, especially with tight end George Kittle (knee) expected to miss his second straight game. It's hard to trust anyone outside of Samuel and Sanders in this run-first offense. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo needs to be faded with Kittle doubtful and Sanders questionable.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 14.
Fantasy Spin: Sanders probably will be a game-time decision for Week 11, so fantasy players should keep an eye on his status over the next few days. He will be a risky option since the 49ers play in one of the later games but would be a starting option in all leagues if he is active.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Fantasy Spin: Sanders may be a game-time decision this week, so fantasy players should monitor the situation. He can be a starting option in all leagues if he plays, but players should have other options ready in case he is ruled out.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (rib) is day-to-day and could end up being a game-time decision for Week 11 versus the Arizona Cardinals, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Fantasy Spin: Shanahan went on to say the injury is a "rib cartilage" issue. Sanders looked good for the short time he was able to play in Week 10, but it's not a coincidence San Francisco's offense fell off a cliff once he departed. If he is able to play in Week 11, owners will undoubtedly hope for a repeat of the 7-112-1 line he posted against the Cardinals two weeks ago.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) tallied two grabs for 24 yards before exiting in the second quarter with a rib injury. Its uncertain when Sanders suffered the injury but he was ruled out at halftime. Its a tough break for the 10-year pro who had emerged as the clear No. 1 receiver since joining San Francisco. His practice regimen on a short week will determine his availability in Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) will not return for the Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks due to an injury suffered to his ribs in the first half.
Fantasy Spin: With Sanders on the shelf it will be Kendrick Bourne, Dante Pettis and Deebo Samuel expected to pick up the slack in the pass game among the tight ends, especially with leading receiver TE George Kittle also inactive.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) suffered an apparent injury to his right rib cage area in the first half of the Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks. He pulled up on a route and was seen grabbing at the area during the telecast before leaving for the locker room. Sanders is questionable to return.
Fantasy Spin: It's a shame for Sanders and the 49ers, who just acquired him. Kendrick Bourne and Deebo Samuel should see more targets among the wideouts.
Two games into his San Francisco 49ers career, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has established himself as a key cog in the passing attack. With 14 targets, 137 yards and two scores, his production has rivaled star tight end George Kittle (knee). Already the clear front-runner amongst receivers, hell make a fine WR3 in Week 10s Monday night tilt against the Seattle Seahawks. Sanders accrued a season-high 112 yards in Week 9 and draws the 21st-ranked pass defense by DVOA. While the Niners may hammer the ground game to keep Seattles offense off the field, Sanders 90-plus percent snap share and versatility should garner him enough opportunities to start in any fantasy format.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders had seven receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown during the team's 28-25 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, Oct. 31.
Fantasy Spin: So far, so good for Sanders transitioning to the 49ers offense as he scored Sunday and now led the team in receptions and yards while adding another TD on Thursday. The veteran will get a little extra time to immerse himself in the playbook before a Week 10 showdown with the Seahawks, but he's looking like a possible WR3 going forward.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders roped seven of nine targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. In his second game with the team, Sanders continued demonstrating his solid rapport with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, gaining several chunk plays early in the contest. He was rewarded with a 1-yard bunny to end the first half for his second score in as many games. Sanders led the team in targets on Thursday and now has 14 targets across two contests in red and gold. Clearly emerging as the Niners best wideout, he should keep dominating snap share and is firmly in the weekly WR3 conversation. Hell get a middling Seattle Seahawks pass defense in Week 10.
San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders caught four passes for 25 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Spin: It was a solid debut for Sanders, who got the scoring started for the Niners, but it's still TBD as to what kind of numbers he'll put up in a passing game that defers to the run most weeks. For now, he's a WR3 at best.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught four of five targets for 25 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers. The newly-acquired veteran paid immediate dividends, snatching a 4-yard pass on the opening drive for a score. Sanders didnt factor into the game much afterwards, as the Niners leaned heavily on their dominant run game in a 51-13 blowout. Sanders role figures to continue growing as he learns the offense and will be a WR4 on in Week 9 on Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints had interest in acquiring WR Emmanuel Sanders from the Denver Broncos before he was ultimately traded to the San Francisco 49ers.
