Chicago Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro (knee) was questionable coming into Sunday's Week 4 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, but fantasy owners are glad he played. Pineiro connected on all three of his field goal attempts in this one. He finished with 10 total points, while the Vikings finished with six points in the loss to the Bears. It appears that the knee issue is behind Pineiro. However, Pineiro doesn't have great fantasy value going forward. The Bears offense has struggled to get into scoring position most games. Fantasy owners who need a kicker because of a bye week should take a look at Pineiro. The Bears have a strong matchup against the Oakland Raiders in Week 5.

Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton (groin) and kicker Eddy Pineiro (knee) are both active in Week 4 against the Vikings. Burton has been injured seemingly all year so far and has had very little production in Chicago's mediocre offense up until this point. Consider him a low-end, touchdown-dependent TE2 for this tough matchup with the Vikings. Pineiro hit a game-winner in Week 2 against the Broncos, but he hasn't had enough opportunities to make him a worthwhile starting option in fantasy lineups.

Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton (groin) and kicker Eddy Pineiro (knee) are both listed as questionable for Week 4 against the Vikings. Both players were limited in practice on Friday and have a good shot at suiting up this Sunday. Burton has six catches on seven targets for 25 yards in two games this season and is an unenticing, low-end TE2 in a tough matchup with Minnesota's defense. Pineiro had a huge game-winning kick against Denver in Week 2, but in this lackluster offense he's not on the fantasy radar for the time being.

Sep 24 3:10am ET

Chicago Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro went 1-for-2 on field goals and hit all four of his extra-point attempts in the Bears 31-15 win over the Redskins. Pineiro surprisingly showed up on the injury report over the weekend with a knee injury and it showed. Reports indicate he tweaked the knee during a workout session and the rookie displayed a noticeable limp throughout the game. Pineiro refused to land on his right leg after his kicks, one of them resulting in his first missed field goal of the season in the third quarter. He managed to make a 38-yard attempt but do not be surprised if the Bears work out kickers this week as Pineiro deals with the injury.

Chicago Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro played the hero in Week 2 and will now travel to Washington take on the Redskins in Week 3. Pineiro hit all three of his field goals last week, including a dramatic 53-yard boot to win the game with a second left. Pineiro is a perfect 4-for-4 on the season but is still largely unproven. He'll carry some value with a Bears offense that has scored only one touchdown through the first two games, but he doesn't come with much upside.

Sep 15 9:40pm ET

Chicago Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro went 3-for-3 on his field-goal attempts, including hitting a 53-yard strike with a second left in the game to beat the Broncos 16-14. Much has been made in the offseason about the Bears kicking problems, but on this day the kicker saved the game for them. Pineiro also connected from 40 yards in the first quarter and then nailed a 52-yarder in the second quarter. Pineiro has connected on all of his kicks thus far this season and this game-winning kick certainly should be a confidence booster. The Bears radio announcer Jeff Joniak already has nicknamed the young kicker Eddie "Dinero" Pineiro. Eddie "Money" will try and keep it rolling with a favorable matchup against the Redskins at home in Week 3.

Chicago Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro connected on a 38-yard field goal in the Bears 10-3 loss to the Packers in Week 1. The "rookie" was thrust into the action in the first quarter, burying a midrange kick right down the middle for his first NFL field goal. The young kicker never saw another opportunity in the game, but Bears fans surely are breathing a sigh of relief for the moment. Much has been made of the team's kicking situation over the offseason, and Pineiro executing his first attempt will help silence the doubters for now. Pineiro will be a risky fantasy option next week against the Broncos.

Aug 19 10:10pm ET

Chicago Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro will be the team's starting kicker for the final two preseason games after the team released Elliott Fry. Pineiro reportedly converted on 84 percent of his kicks during training camp while Fry kicked at an 81 percent clip. Pineiro is 3-for-4 through the first two preseason games and will handle all of the kicking duties to convince the team he should stick around for Week 1. The Bears do not appear to be committed to Pineiro at all at this time, so look for them to scour the league for available kickers after teams make their final cuts. The Bears kicking situation should be closely monitored all the way up to Week 1 of the 2019 season and avoided in fantasy leagues.

Aug 1 10:33am ET

Chicago Bears kicker Eddie Pineiro crushed a 63-yard field goal in practice as he competes with Elliott Fry to earn the starting kicking job. Pineiro was acquired from the Raiders in the offseason after last season was lost to injuries. Pineiro possesses a huge leg but health and consistency are major question marks for the young kicker. The Bears are holding an open competition after cutting ties with embattled kicker Cody Parkey in the offseason. Fantasy owners should expect the competition to stretch all the way up to the beginning of the season.
