Seattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister wasn't the man to haul in a pair of touchdowns this week, but he did still chip in six catches on eight targets in the team's win over Minnesota on Monday night. Unfortunately, it will be a fluke play that wasn't Hollister's fault that will get the most airtime. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson tried to zip a pass to Hollister over the middle in the second quarter, but it got batted at the line. The bat went back to Wilson, and he made a poor choice by attempting to bat the ball once again like a volleyball. While Hollister futilely tried to get back to the bouncing ball, a Vikings defender easily settled under it to catch it and return it for six points. Outside of terrible misfortunes, Hollister is clearly still one of Wilson's favorite receivers, so owners should expect plenty more scoring chances in the future.

Dec 3 12:43am ET

Seattle Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister ended up with six grabs for 44 yards on eight targets in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Spin: Hollister has emerged as a useful fantasy tight end in deeper leagues, especially PPR formats. The Seahawks travel to meet the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14.

Nov 30 1:30pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister was a limited participant in practice on Friday due to a nagging toe injury. Hollister has been one of the most recent surprises on the Seahawks roster as he's been promoted into a starting role and quickly become one of Russell Wilson's favorite targets, but there's a possibility that he won't be able to go Monday against Minnesota. If Hollister is cleared to play, expect him to continue to serve as a prime red zone threat for Seattle. The third-year tight end has three touchdowns in his last three games, and he could see regular use in what's expected to be a tight matchup against the Vikings.

Nov 25 3:00am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister finally posted what appears to be a forgettable game by looking at the box score, but he was robbed by a horrific throw by Russell Wilson. In the wet, windy conditions in Philly, Hollister was somehow completely unnoticed by the defense on a 10-yard pass play in the end zone. Wilson was completely free of defenders, Hollister didn't have a green shirt within 10 yards of him, and Wilson promptly lobbed the ball 15 or more feet over Hollister's head. The slipped pass was obviously a shock to everyone, and it was a clear example of how flukes can destroy a fantasy day. Hollister instead ended up with just 22 receiving yards on two catches and no scores. Expect him to get more chances next week.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 9:43pm ET

Seattle Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister finished with two catches for 22 yards on four targets in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Spin: Hollister had emerged as a useful fantasy option in the past couple of games, finding the end zone frequently. He should be treated as a low-end TE2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night.

From TheHuddle

Nov 22 9:40pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister has been propelled from an unknown to a serious red zone threat in a matter of two weeks. Hollister was on the field for almost every play from scrimmage last week, and it's doubtful that's going to change at all against Philly. Heading into the game, Luke Willson is still laid up with a hamstring injury, Ed Dickson went right back on Injured Reserve as soon as he was activated from it due to an ongoing knee issue, and Tyrone Swoopes was just activated from the practice squad. Hollister is officially the old hat of the tight end corps, and don't be surprised if Russell Wilson calls his number in the end zone once again.

Nov 12 3:30am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister was on the receiving end of another Russell Wilson touchdown throw, but it's still unclear how the two of them made it happen or whether the pass was even directed to Hollister in the first place. With two tacklers bearing down on Wilson from three yards out, he lobbed a gentle floater into the center of the end zone while Tyler Lockett and Hollister were both being openly mugged by 49ers defenders. While Lockett ended up being tackled at the goal line, Hollister dove and snagged the ball with one hand as he fell to the ground. He also went on to catch seven other passes during the game and appears to be one of Wilson's favorite new receivers.

From RotoBaller

Nov 12 12:33am ET

Seattle Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister posted eight catches for 62 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Spin: Hollister posted his first two-career touchdowns last week, including the game-winning score in OT, and he had another score in this one. The tight end position is so shallow in fantasy that Hollister is worth a look in leagues of 12 or more teams. However, wait until Week 12, as the team is off next week for a bye.

From TheHuddle

Nov 9 3:50pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister made quite the splash last week when he hauled in a pair of touchdowns in the team's overtime win against Tampa. Hollister capped off the day by bringing in the winning pass in OT, and the question is now whether he'll see that kind of action again. So far, it looks promising. Since Will Dissly went down with a ruptured Achilles, Hollister has become the team's favorite tight end target, racking up 14 opportunities in the last three weeks. He hadn't done much with the targets until he made his two dives in the end zone, but he could see more such chances moving forward. Facing a stingy SF defense where Seattle will likely be dying for points, Hollister could sneak into the promised land once again.

From RotoBaller

Nov 4 2:33am ET

Seattle Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister hauled in four of his six targets for 37 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Spin: The touchdowns were the first of his three-year pro career. The Seahawks have been searching for a viable replacement for Will Dissly since his season-ending ACL injury, and it is possible that Hollister will settle into that role at some point. He was the recipient of some offseason buzz, but this is the first time he's come close to delivering on it. Hollister is worth adding - but probably not worth starting in fantasy yet - to see if he can perform well again in Week 10 versus the San Francisco 49ers.

From TheHuddle

Nov 4 2:00am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister is in his third year in the league, and going into Sunday, he had racked up a total of 132 receiving yards in his entire career. An undrafted free agent out of Wyoming who is on his second team, Hollister is exactly the kind of guy that gets tagged out of nowhere by head coach Pete Carroll. Hollister not only saw his number get called on a sneaky pass-action fake from the one-yard line to get his first career touchdown at the end of the first half, but with the game on the line in overtime, Hollister got rung again. Diving for the end zone both times, Hollister reached the promised land and delivered. Whether he'll have any future or fade away instantly is left to be seen, but for now, it's a reminder that just because Russell Wilson is throwing touchdowns, it doesn't mean they're going to guys owned in any fantasy leagues.

From RotoBaller

Oct 21 1:43am ET

Seattle Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister had three receptions for 20 yards in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Spin: Normally we wouldn't look twice at Hollister's three-catch, 20-yard performance, but his six targets were third on the team, and it was him, not Luke Willson, who slid into Will Dissly's role. That alone makes Hollister someone to watch.
