The Browns used a fifth-round pick on Seibert in this year's draft, hoping to have found their kicker for years to come. He will compete with Greg Joseph for the starting job but should have the upperhand for the job. Seibert is an accurate kicker with a strong leg. He also can punt, so he could serve as a dual player for the Browns, helping his chances to stick.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Seibert should get first crack at the starting job and could do well in this offense, which could be solid this year. This gives Seibert good upside if he can win the starting job. Make sure he wins the job before you use a pick on him, though. If starting, Seibert can get around 120 points.

Cleveland Browns kicker Austin Seibert hit both of his field goals in a 20-13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3. He also tacked on an extra point. The rookie kicker had a shaky preseason but he has settled down now that the games count. Seibert has hit all five of his field-goal tries this season while making four of his five extra points. His main problem has not been accuracy but instead that the Browns offense has not been as high-scoring as many expected through the first three games of the season. Seibert will not be a top-12 kicker option in fantasy in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Cleveland Browns kicker Austin Seibert made both of his field goal attempts in the team's 20-16 preseason win over the Detroit Lions. He also tacked on two extra points in the win. Many expected that it would be Greg Joseph who would carry out the kicking duties in the fourth game after Seibert played the entire third preseason game. That wasn't the case as Joseph didn't attempt a kick for the second consecutive preseason contest. That should all but lock Seibert in as the team's kicker when they begin the regular season next weekend against the Tennessee Titans. While the two battled for the starting role all preseason, Joseph had an uphill battle to make the roster after Cleveland used a fifth-round rookie pick on Seibert in the 2019 draft this past spring.
Cleveland Browns kicker Austin Seibert nailed all four of his field goal attempts in a 13-12 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday. His long field goal went for 54 yards in the loss. The rookie kicker has made headlines for the wrong reasons this preseason due to his struggles with accuracy after Cleveland made him a fifth-round pick in the past draft. Fortunately for Seibert, his main competitor Greg Joseph hasn't been any better in the kicking game. Joseph did not get a chance to play on Friday night, presumably he will get the entire fourth preseason game to show that he is the man for the job. Whoever wins the kicker job will have some fantasy value tied to what will be an exciting offense this season.
Cleveland Browns rookie kicker Austin Seibert is struggling in his first training camp. In somewhat of a surprise, the team used a fifth-round pick on the former Oklahoma kicker in the 2019 draft. Seibert is competing with Greg Joseph, who was the team's kicker for most of the 2018 season but most expected the former to win the job without much trouble, as is usually the case when a team burns a draft pick on a kicker. Through Sunday's practice, Seibert has missed 4-of-8 field goal attempts during practice. Whoever wins the job should have some fantasy value in what will be a much-improved Cleveland offense this season.
