Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (abdomen), who had surgery on Jan. 21 on a core muscle, posted a video on his Instagram of him running on a treadmill on Thursday. A league sources estimates that Beckham will be healthy in a month. There's no guarantee that OBJ will take part in the offseason program, which begins on April 6 for teams with new head coaches. Cleveland's new offensive system will challenge quarterback Baker Mayfield, who won't be able to work with his top receivers until training camp. If Beckham and Mayfield can get on the same page, they should have a good shot to improve on their numbers last season. However, Beckham will be seen as more of a low-end WR1 with upside until the Browns prove us wrong.

Feb 20 5:13pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (core) should be completely recovered from his core muscle surgery in about a month, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: It appears like Beckham should be ready of offseason workouts as long as he does not suffer a setback. He will be working under a new offensive scheme next season but is still one of the top receivers in the NFL. He will be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues in 2020.

The Cleveland Browns want to move forward with Odell Beckham Jr. (abdomen), but how present he is during organized activities and the offseason program might go a long way in determining that. He had core surgery after the season ended, so it remains to be seen how much he'll take part in spring practices. Trade rumors have surrounded Beckham after his disappointing first season in Cleveland, but the Browns don't want to trade him and have no current plans to deal him. It'll be important for OBJ to engage himself in the offense this offseason and gain more chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield after he scored only four touchdowns in 2019. He still had a 1,000-yard season, but it was well below his own standards over a full season. Fantasy owners will be more reluctant to draft him as a high-end WR1 in 2020.

Jan 22 10:03pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. will sit down with new head coach Kevin Stefanski Thursday, Jan. 23, to discuss Stefanski's plan for personal conduct. 'I'm looking forward to sitting down with Odell face to face,' Stefanski said. 'I haven't had the chance to do that yet and I get the chance to do that (Thursday). And at that point, that's when I can start laying out my expectations for Odell and all of our players.' Beckham was caught on video at the College Football Playoff Championship Game earlier this month appearing to hand out cash to LSU Tigers players, as well as appearing to slap a security officer on the butt in the locker room. Charges had been filed against Beckham for the latter incident, but they were later dropped.

Fantasy Spin: Beckham totaled 1,035 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his first season in Cleveland. Bigger things were expected, and the hiring of Stefanski should help lead to improvements for 2020. He remains a top-end WR1.

Jan 21 12:20pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (abdomen) underwent successful surgery on Tuesday to fix a core muscle injury. A full recovery is expected. OBJ didn't miss a game in his first season with Cleveland despite fighting through injuries. He caught 74 passes for 1,035 yards and only four touchdowns in what was a very disappointing first year with the Browns. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was extremely inconsistent behind a terrible offensive line, which didn't help matters for Beckham's fantasy owners. Another offseason to gain chemistry with Mayfield should help Beckham rebound in 2020, and he could be a nice value pick as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (abdomen) underwent surgery to repair his core muscle Tuesday, Jan. 21, in Philadelphia. He dealt with the injury for multiple weeks during the season.

Fantasy Spin: OBJ had a miserable season by his standards after most likely being a top-five pick. It's not a lock that he returns to the Browns after considerable drama that comes along with his immense talent. He's a risky fantasy asset because of that, but he'll be a WR1 in drafts again next year.

Jan 18 12:43pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. likely won't face simple-assault charges for slapping a security officer's buttocks Monday, Jan. 13, as the officer has declined to press charges, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: The Browns -- and OBJ's fantasy dynasty-league owners -- are hoping this the final negative offseason headline the wideout generates for a good while and he starts focusing his energies on improving on his disappointing debut season with Cleveland.

From TheHuddle

Jan 16 12:53pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. is the subject of a simple battery arrest warrant issued by the New Orleans Police Department after Beckham appeared to slap a police officer's buttocks in the LSU locker room Monday, Jan. 13 following the College Football Playoff championship game.

Fantasy Spin: While this isn't the most serious of incidents, OBJ continues to make more headlines off the field than on it following his disappointing 2019 debut with the Browns (74 catches-1,035 yards-4 TDs). And if the trend continues, will the new Browns regime say enough is enough for a player brought in by the previous administration?

From TheHuddle

Jan 16 12:50pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been accused of simple battery after an incident in the locker room following LSU's national championship win over Clemson on Monday night. Beckham was caught on video spanking a police officer on the backside during the post-game locker room celebration. New Orleans police have issued a warrant for Beckham's arrest following the incident. The Browns have since released a statement that they are aware of the issue and that they have been in contact with Beckham and his representatives. This is the second issue to stem from Beckham's attendance at the game on Monday night as he was also caught on camera apparently handing money to LSU players on the field after the win. Neither situation is likely to impact Beckham from a fantasy perspective but it's just another issue for the Browns organization to contend with this offseason.

The Cleveland Browns announced on Sunday that they have fired head coach Freddie Kitchens. Kitchens went 6-10 in his lone season in charge of the team. It was a disappointing year for a team that had playoff aspirations during training camp. Instead, multiple players appeared to have issues with Kitchens, most notably Odell Beckham Jr. who reportedly wanted out of Cleveland during the season. Kitchens' play-calling on offense, which was supposed to be one of his strengths, also left much to be desired. When Cleveland hires the next man to lead the team, he will be the seventh head coach since Jimmy Haslam bought the team back in 2012.

Dec 29 4:40pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. caught three of six targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in a 33-23 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17. With the outing, Beckham finishes the season with over 1,000 receiving yards, the fifth time in six seasons that he has reached that milestone. His touchdown grab, a 20-yard catch in the fourth quarter, gave him just four scores on the year. Beckham's future with the team is cloudy as there have been differing reports as to whether he wants to remain in Cleveland. He played through a painful sports hernia injury for much of the season and is likely to have that issue surgically repaired during the offseason. Beckham's fantasy outlook for the 2020 season will greatly depend on the team situation surrounding him, whether that is in Cleveland or elsewhere.

Dec 29 12:13pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (groin, illness) is officially active for the team's Week 17 game.

Fantasy Spin: Beckham will see plenty of targets in the passing game and will have a favorable matchup. He can be at least a No. 2 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 29 8:33am ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (groin, illness) is expected to play in Week 17's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a source. He had been listed as questionable on the injury report after battling food poisoning but his condition has reportedly improved enough to the point where he will be able to suit up this afternoon.

Fantasy Spin: Beckham should be viewed as a must-start option in fantasy leagues because he has a favorable matchup versus the Cincinnati secondary and is expected to be targeted frequently in the passing game.

Dec 27 9:03pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (groin, illness) is expected to play in the Week 17 game even though he is listed as questionable for the game.

Fantasy Spin: Beckham will have a favorable matchup this week and should receive plenty of targets in the passing game. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 7:10pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (flu), who is listed as questionable for Week 17 against the Bengals, is expected to play on Sunday, according to a source. Even with Beckham also playing through a hernia, he should be good to go for the season finale in Week 17. The 27-year-old has been a big disappointment in his first year with Cleveland, but he still needs only 46 yards on Sunday to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the fifth time in his six NFL seasons. With just three touchdowns so far in 2019, though, OBJ has become more of a WR2/3 for fantasy owners. He had three touchdowns in just four games in 2017 with the Giants when he broke his leg. His fantasy owners are hoping he can go out on a high note against a very weak secondary.

OT Kendall Lamm (knee), DT Sheldon Richardson (back), TE Ricky Seals-Jones (illness), C JC Tretter (knee) and DE Olivier Vernon (knee) were all limited in practice Friday and are also listed as questionable. OT Chris Hubbard (knee) was limited in practice all week but has been removed from the injury report. Dec 27 2:03pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (groin, illness) sat out practice Friday, Dec. 27, with an illness and is listed as questionable for the team's Week 17 game at the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Spin: Naturally, there's one final issue for OBJ owners to contend with after they've been put through his disappointing season so far. At least he's played in all 15 games so far, and we'll need to check the Browns' pregame inactives list Sunday morning to make Beckham isn't included.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 1:10pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (illness) is listed as questionable for Week 17 against the Bengals. Beckham was limited in practice this week, so we'd expect him to play in the regular season finale in what has been a lost season for Cleveland after high preseason expectations. OBJ scored last week for the first time since Nov. 24, and he has a mouthwatering matchup in Week 17 against the Bengals. Drafted as a high-end WR1 in his first year with the Browns, Beckham has become more of a WR2/3 for fantasy owners to close out the season.

From RotoBaller

Dec 26 4:13pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Beckham has been targeted at least six times in 14 of the 15 games this season but has at least 50 yards in only one of the last four games. He will have a favorable matchup this week and should be a starting option in all leagues.
