The New Orleans Saints could try to sign a free-agent wide receiver to play the slot next season, in the opinion of ESPN's Mike Triplett, who names Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb, Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley, Philadelphia Eagles WR Golden Tate and Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Adam Humphries as possible targets in free agency.

Fantasy Spin: Of that group, Humphries might be the most interesting as both Tate and Beasley have reached their 30s and Cobb has taken a pounding over his eight NFL campaigns. Still, anyone signed into the New Orleans passing game would warrant your attention.

Feb 8 1:43am ET

The Buffalo Bills may be interested in signing someone like Philadelphia Eagles WR Golden Tate, Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley or Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook in free agency, in the opinion of Forbes' Curtis Rush.

Jan 25 9:43pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley and WR Tavon Austin and New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson and WR Chris Hogan could be options for the Detroit Lions in free agency, according to Nate Atkins of Atkins believes the Lions will want a veteran presence in the slot to pair with WR Kenny Golladay.

Jan 25 1:33am ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley could be a possible free-agent target for the Green Bay Packers, in the opinion of the Green Bay Press-Gazette's Pete Dougherty, assuming the team does not retain WR Randall Cobb, who is also a free agent.

Fantasy Spin: It certainly seems like a return to Dallas is unlikely for Beasley, whose comments about the team's management on social media drew a swift rebuke, so the Packers do make some sense as none of their returning wideouts fit the traditional skill set of a slot receiver. Beasley has shown enough in spots to be worth tracking this offseason to see where he lands.

Jan 22 5:23pm ET

Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent WR Cole Beasley claimed Tuesday, Jan. 22, that the Dallas front office encourages the coaching staff to get the football to certain players. 'I haven't been a huge priority in that regard. Maybe that will change but I'm not sure,' Beasley said.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley's frustrations are evident and understandable, although Amari Cooper, Ezekiel Elliott and Michael Gallup are all bigger, more talented threats with the ball. Beasley does have a role to play and put together his second best season from a statistical standpoint. That being said, he's only a mid- to late-round PPR flier if he stays in Dallas.

Jan 12 6:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) will be active Saturday, Jan. 12, against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley hasn't been much of a factor for the Cowboys for the most part. He could be counted on even less today coming off a sprained ankle. Starting him is playing with fire.

Jan 12 11:43am ET

The Dallas Cowboys are optimistic that WR Cole Beasley (ankle) will be available for the Divisional Round playoff game versus the Los Angeles Rams Saturday, Jan. 12, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley was listed as questionable on the injury report despite not practicing at all during the week. Assuming that he is active, he should be viewed as a sneaky play in postseason fantasy games despite the tough matchup.

Jan 11 1:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) is listed as questionable for the the team's divisional-playoff game Saturday, Jan. 12, in Los Angeles, but owner Jerry Jones is optimistic the slot wideout will be able to play. 'My feeling right now is to play with Cole Beasley,' Jones told 105.3 FM The Fan in an interview Friday. 'He's given every indication he can force himself through it. Right now, we're planning on having Cole Beasley.'

Fantasy Spin: Beasley has had at least three receptions in each of his last four games, but if he can't go or is limited, look for more targets for WRs Michael Gallup and Tavon Austin.

Jan 10 2:33pm ET

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) missed practice Thursday, Jan. 10.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley is turning into a more pronounced question mark for the divisional round. If he can't play or if his snaps are limited then Michael Gallup would ideally see more looks. He's a sneaky play anyway even in a tough matchup versus the Los Angeles Rams.

Jan 10 12:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) is uncertain to practice Thursday, Jan. 10, and if he does, head coach Jason Garrett says he'll be limited.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley was limited to 31 snaps in the wild-card win over the Seahawks, catching all three of his targets for 28 yards, but if he is unable to practice Thursday on what would be a Friday during a normal week, it will be best not to count on him playing Saturday night on L.A.

Jan 9 5:53pm ET

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) is dealing with a high-ankle sprain which has cost him the first two days of practice this week. The team is hopeful he can suit up Saturday, Jan. 12, against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley turned his ankle in the Wild-Card game win against the Seahawks, joining Allen Hurns (leg) on the sidelines. If Beasley cannot go it would be Michael Gallup, Tavon Austin and Noah Brown pressed into larger roles behind Amari Cooper.

Jan 9 5:23pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle), DT David Irving (ankle) and TE Blake Jarwin (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Jan. 9. FS Darian Thompson (groin), OG Xavier Su'a-Filo (ankle), OT Tyron Smith (neck), OG Zack Martin (knee), DE Tyrone Crawford (neck), DT Maliek Collins (illness, ankle), WR Noah Brown (illness) and WR Tavon Austin (groin) were limited. FS Jeff Heath (wrist) and LB Sean Lee (hamstring) participated fully.

Jan 9 12:03pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) will not practice Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley is iffy for the Divisional game this weekend against the Los Angeles Rams, but he could be a flex option if he's fit to go.

Jan 8 5:13pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle), WR Noah Brown (illness), DT Maliek Collins (illness, ankle), DT David Irving (ankle) and TE Blake Jarwin (ankle) did not practice Tuesday, Jan. 8. WR Tavon Austin (groin), DE Tyrone Crawford (neck), OG Zack Martin (knee), OT Tyron Smith (neck), OG Xavier Su'a-Filo (ankle) and FS Darian Thompson (groin) were limited. FS Jeff Heath (wrist) and LB Sean Lee (hamstring) participated fully.

Jan 8 1:13pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) was not participating in the open session of the team's practice Tuesday, Jan. 8, but owner Jerry said earlier in the day he was 'positive' Beasley would be able in Saturday's divisional-playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Spin: Despite the owner's optimism, Beasley is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, and we'll have to monitor the situation and see how he's doing later in the week in practice.

Jan 7 12:30pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley (ankle), who injured himself in the wild-card win over the Seahawks on Saturday, will be evaluated throughout the week. "He did get an ankle sprain in the game, was able to fight through it and be very effective for us throughout, head coach Jason Garrett said. But well see how it feels. Seemed like he was doing a little bit better today and well just see how he is day by day as the week goes on. Garrett said wide receiver Lance Lenoir from the practice squad is a viable option if Beasley can't play. Beasley had just three catches for 28 yards against Seattle and hasn't done much for fantasy owners all year. If he's inactive against the Rams for the divisional round, rookie Michael Gallup will see his role increase even more behind Amari Cooper.

From RotoBaller

Jan 6 6:13am ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) could miss some practice time early in the week after spraining his right ankle in the NFC Wild-Card game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Jan 5 11:53pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (ankle) caught all three of his targets for 28 yards against the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round Saturday, Jan. 5, despite leaving the game to have his ankle taped.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley was already having issues with the ankle, and it bent underneath him on his first catch of the game. While he was bale to finish, he looked less than 100 percent. He'll be a risky play in playoff contests going forward.

Jan 5 8:43pm ET

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (foot) returned to action following a brief stint on the sideline.

Jan 5 8:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (foot) limped off the field with an apparent aggravation of a lingering foot issue against the Seattle Seahawks Saturday, Jan. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley's fantasy value has dwindled with the emergence of Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup and the reliance on Ezekiel Elliott and the running game. He's merely a late-round PPR flier for 2019 drafts.
