Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert's one-year deal is worth up to $6.5 million. He received a $1.2 million signing bonus and a $4 million base salary with $2.5 million in incentives.

Fantasy Spin: Eifert is oft-injured, but he could be worth the lottery ticket as a TE2.

Mar 16 8:50pm ET

The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed tight end Tyler Eifert to an undisclosed one-year deal on Saturday, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The 28-year-old former first-rounder has been hurt by injuries over the course of his six-year career in the NFL and has played in more than eight games in just two seasons. He missed the final 12 games in 2018 with a broken ankle, although he's expected to be ready for organized team activities this spring. Eifert played in only 14 games since his Pro Bowl season in 2015, and fantasy owners are now staying away from him altogether most likely. With C.J. Uzomah also re-signing, Eifert will have to prove to both the Bengals and fantasy owners that he can stay on the field.

Free-agent TE Tyler Eifert (Bengals) agreed to terms on a new one-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals Saturday, March 16, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fantasy Spin: Eifert has been limited to only 14 games over the last three seasons because of injuries but likely will be the starter if he is healthy for 2019. He is a risky option in fantasy leagues because of his injury history but could be a No. 2 tight end in leagues.

Feb 27 5:23pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals impending free-agent TE Tyler Eifert will have talks with the Bengals about a possible return, but director of player personnel Duke Tobin said he is not sure if Eifert will re-sign with the team.

Fantasy Spin: Eifert has been limited to only 14 games over the last three seasons because of injuries but has been productive when he is healthy. He could receive interest from teams if he hits the free-agent market but will be a risky fantasy option because of his injury history. He probably can be considered a No. 2 tight end next season if he finds a starting job.

Feb 22 12:40pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals impending free-agent tight end Tyler Eifert suffered an ugly ankle injury last September that required season-ending surgery. The 28-year-old former first-round pick in 2013 posted a video on Twitter on Thursday that showed him doing ladder drills. Because of his extensive injury history -- Eifert has played in a total of 14 games the last three seasons -- fantasy owners are unlikely to touch him in standard-sized leagues. It'll be interesting to see where he lands in free agency, but he'll have to prove he can stay on the field and be productive before he becomes an option for fantasy owners again.

Cincinnati Bengals impending free-agent tight end Tyler Eifert (ankle) is jogging 20 minutes at a time and is convinced he will be fully healthy and get back to the player that scored 13 touchdowns in 2015. Ill be back to where I was. No question, said Eifert Tuesday, who admitted he didnt know where he would be doing it. Eifert has great size at 6-foot-6, but he's played in just 12 of the 48 games since he tore ligaments in his ankle in the 2015 Pro Bowl. He's an elite tight end when healthy, but he's had neck, back, ankle and elbow injuries that have slowed him. It'll be interesting to see where Eifert goes in free agency, but his long injury history makes him a TE2 gamble.

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) has resumed running and is reportedly 'up to jogging 20 minutes at a time,' according to's Geoff Hobson.

Fantasy Spin: The impending free agent told Hobson he has no question he'll "be back to where (he) was" but acknowledged he does not know if it will be with Cincinnati or some other team. The 28-year-old Eifert is perhaps the most injury-prone tight end in the league, missing 52 games over the last five years and playing only 14 times over the last three. His lack of durability makes him a fantasy TE2 option at best regardless of where he lands this spring.
