Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree's release was made official Monday, Feb. 25, saving the Ravens $4.6 million in salary cap space.

Fantasy Spin: Crabtree is over the hill, before the 2018 season he stringed together seasons with nine, eight and eight touchdowns in succession. He'll land somewhere, but he can't be seen as more than a WR4.

Feb 25 3:03pm ET

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree is expected to be released Monday, Feb. 25.

Fantasy Spin: By the time he was able to rectify those issues, the Ravens made the change from Joe Flacco to Lamar Jackson and became the most run-heavy team in the league. Crabtree should not struggle to find work on the open market as a complementary wideout, but he should no longer be considered a primary option. Depending on his next landing spot, the 31-year-old may have enough left to be considered a touchdown-dependent WR3 in fantasy. Baltimore figures to be targeting receivers heavily again this offseason.

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree is likely to be released in the offseason, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec.

Jan 6 5:53pm ET

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree posted two grabs for 38 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the AFC Wild Card playoff game loss against the Los Angeles Chargers for his first multi-TD game since Dec. 17, 2017 as a member of the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Spin: Crabtree managed just 54 grabs for 607 yards and three touchdowns, and he has had a lot of drops in the past couple of seasons. He is more of a WR4 or flex fantasy option in most leagues heading into 2019, so plan to have plenty of depth on hand.

Jan 2 5:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Michael Crabtree has not been involved in the offense that much recently, but that could change in the AFC Wild Card Game against the Chargers on Sunday. The 31-year-old is coming off a Week 17 performance against the Browns where he caught both of his targets for 20 yards. It was the ninth straight outing that the 11th-year pro has failed to haul in more than three passes and marked the sixth occasion in the past seven games that he has been targeted four or fewer times. Also, he has not surpassed 40 receiving yards in any of the last nine contests. Overall, Crabtree has caught 16 of 23 targets for 135 yards and one touchdown since Lamar Jackson took over as the team's starting quarterback. However, Jackson has said that he plans on involving the Ravens' top three receivers more often this weekend. Crabtree is the best bet to have a big day among the team's wideouts because he is the biggest target and has had decent success against the Chargers in the past. The former Texas Tech star pulled in one of four targets in the Ravens' Week 16 victory the Chargers, and he is averaging nearly four receptions for 35.6 yards in nine games while also totaling five touchdowns.

Dec 30 10:33pm ET

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree finished with two catches for just 20 yards in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Spin: Crabtree had a disappointing first season in Baltimore, posting 54 grabs for just 607 yards and three touchdowns with plenty of drops. We'll see if the 31-year-old can make some noise in the playoffs to atone. Baltimore hosts the L.A. Chargers in the wild-card round next weekend.

Dec 30 10:43am ET

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree has a clause in his contract which would pay him $500,000 if he catches 60 passes during the 2018 season. He currently has 52 receptions entering Week 17's game versus Cleveland Browns, meaning he needs eight more catches to receive the bonus.

Dec 22 11:53pm ET

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree had one catch on four targets in a 22-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: Crabtree continues to be a non-factor with Lamar Jackson under center, and he has now been held under 40 yards in eight straight games. He has zero fantasy value in Baltimore's current offense.
