Cardinals' QB Kyler Murray scored an impressive 31.20 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 2 win against the Rams. Murray threw for 266 yards on 17-of-21 with three touchdowns.

Sep 16 5:00am ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray went off against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, completing 17 of his 21 passes for 266 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. No stranger to the ground game, he also added 59 yards on five carries in the 41-10 victory. Pending the results of Monday Night Football, Murray will finish as the week's QB1. Murray wasted no time in getting Arizona's offense going on Sunday, capping their first drive with a 23-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Harrison Jr. and connecting with the rookie again on the very first play of their second drive for a 60-yard score. A third touchdown pass went to Elijah Higgins in the second quarter, giving Murray more scores than incompletions in the first half. His efforts put the Cardinals so far ahead of the Rams that he was removed with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, logging the first perfect passer rating by a Cardinals quarterback since Kurt Warner in 2008. In Week 3, Murray will again be in the mix for a top-10 finish when the Cardinals host the Detroit Lions.

Dynasty | Kyler Murray completed 17-of-21 passes for 266 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Cardinals blowout win over the Rams. Dynasty Analysis: With no turnovers, four touchdowns, 116 rushing yards, and a completion percentage over 70% on the season, it's fair to really say Murray looks back. With Marvin Harrison Jr erupting for two touchdowns on the day, the dynasty arrow on Murray is pointing up and he looks like a clear QB1 moving forward. In short, it really looks like the Cardinals made the right choice in staying the course with Murray this season, despite some speculation they'd move on from the talented signal caller. Dynasty managers should have no hesitation in playing Murray from this point forward.

Sep 13 7:20pm ET

The Los Angeles Rams' secondary is banged up at the moment with cornerback Darious Williams (hamstring) on Injured Reserve and cornerback Cobie Durant (toe) and safety Quinten Lake (hip) questionable for Week 2 at Arizona. That's a scary proposition for the Rams against Kyler Murray and the likes of star tight end Trey McBride and rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Jr. The Rams performed well for the most part in Week 1 at Detroit but ran out of gas in overtime as the Lions ran the ball down the field for the winning TD. It's a risky move to start the Rams' defense on the road while there are so many injury question marks. There are better streaming options out there in most fantasy leagues at the position, so it would make sense to look elsewhere.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that the knee is not a concern for quarterback Kyler Murray (knee), calling him "all good" for the Week 2 contest against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. Murray found himself on the Cardinals' Week 2 injury report but has practiced in full all week and is not in any danger of missing this weekend's game. It's surely something to watch moving forward, though, especially for a QB like Murray who relies on his legs often. The 27-year-old was inconsistent in the Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills and wasn't on the same page with high-profile rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., connecting with him just once for four yards. Murray finished 21-for-31 passing for 162 yards and a touchdown and also had five carries for 57 yards with a lost fumble. He'll look to bounce back in Week 2, where he'll be a midrange QB1 play for fantasy managers.

Sep 11 8:10pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) was listed on the team's first practice report for Week 2 on Wednesday, but he practiced in full and should be fine to play this Sunday against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. It's something to watch moving forward, but it shouldn't make fantasy managers hesitant to use the 27-year-old signal-caller as a QB1 in starting lineups this weekend. Murray was inconsistent in the Week 1 loss on the road to the Buffalo Bills, going 21-for-31 for 162 yards and a touchdown. He also had five carries for 57 yards and a lost fumble. Murray connected with rookie first-round receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. just once for four yards. It's nothing to be too concerned about yet, and Murray's rushing abilities at QB give him QB1 upside most weeks. Expect Murray to look Harrison's way a lot more in Week 2.

Arizona Cardinals right tackle Jonah Williams (knee) is expected to miss some time due to a knee injury. The team is still assessing the full extent of the injury and determining a timeline for his return. Williams, who signed a two-year, $30 million contract with the Cardinals this offseason, was a left tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals before transitioning to right tackle in 2023. With Paris Johnson stable on the left side, Williams' injury leaves a gap on the right side of the line. Veteran swing tackle Kelvin Beachum, who previously started 48 games at right tackle for the Cardinals from 2020-22, filled in on Sunday. However, Beachum struggled, allowing two sacks and two additional hurries on quarterback Kyler Murray. This change will likely negatively impact the effectiveness of Murray and the rest of the Arizona offense.

Sep 9 4:50am ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray completed 21 of his 31 pass attempts for 162 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills. He gained an additional 57 yards on the ground on 5 rushes, including a 29-yard scamper that ended up being Arizona's longest play from scrimmage. Murray's touchdown pass went to wide receiver Michael Wilson from five yards out in the first quarter. The 27-year-old signal caller had an efficient start to the game with only one incompletion in his first 12 attempts but as the game went on Arizona's offensive line found it harder and harder to keep up with the pass rush, forcing Murray to hurry his throws. While he was never picked off he eventually coughed up a fumble late in the third quarter that gave the Bills the ball on Arizona's 21-yard line, setting them up for the go-ahead score. Despite the lackluster final line, Murray will be a QB1 candidate in Week 2 when Arizona hosts the Los Angeles Rams.

Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Jonah Williams (knee) was ruled out after suffering a knee injury against the Bills on Sunday. Williams is an important piece of an uninspiring Cardinal's O-line. Williams came over to the Cardinals as a free agent during the 2024 offseason. As such, it is disappointing to see him go down in his first game with the team. James Conner and Kyler Murray managers should keep an eye on the situation to see how it could affect those players should Williams miss time. However, it is worth noting that Williams was able to walk off under his own power.

Sep 8 2:30pm ET

Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Jonah Williams (knee) suffered an apparent knee injury and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. Kelvin Beachum has replaced Williams at right tackle for the time being, but this will be something to monitor as it could affect Kyler Murray's protection. Williams has been an everyday starter for the Bengals through the first four years of his career and transitioned into the starter for the Cardinals. Updates will likely be on the way after Williams is checked out in the locker room.

Sep 7 5:30am ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray won't have it easy in Week 1 when the team kicks off the 2024 season against the Buffalo Bills. Last season, the Bills limited opposing quarterbacks to just 215.2 passing yards per game and a total of 18 passing touchdowns, tied for the third-fewest in the league. However, they lost veteran safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde in the offseason, leaving room for fantasy managers to be optimistic about Murray's production. There's also the fact that Murray isn't shy about using his legs to make a play. Since his rookie season in 2019, he has averaged 37.7 rushing yards per game (fourth-most in the NFL in that span). Murray has a good track record and a stable of young pass-catchers headlined by fourth-overall draft pick Marvin Harrison Jr. Despite the tough matchup, Murray should be in starting lineups on Sunday.

Sep 6 12:00pm ET

Two new safeties, the loss of a key pass-rusher, and a linebacker on Injured Reserve. This is not the same Buffalo DST that finished third in fantasy football scoring a season ago. Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin take over for longtime starting safeties Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer. Pass rusher Leonard Floyd moved to the Bay Area and linebacker Matt Milano (bicep) will miss most of the season with an injury. The coaching staff won't have the luxury of easing new faces into the starting lineup. While the Arizona Cardinals didn't improve their defense, the offense should take a big step forward. Kyler Murray is another season removed from an ACL tear and they added a number-one receiver (Marvin Harrison Jr.) through the NFL Draft. Add in running back James Conner and tight end Trey McBride and this offense has more than enough firepower to put up points. The Bills are a middle-of-the-pack DST for Week 1. Fantasy managers should be able to find another streaming option (Seattle, Atlanta, or Cincinnati) to plug and play in Week 1.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon on quarterback Kyler Murray "leaps and bounds ahead" of last year. Murray was forced to miss the first half of the 2023 season while recovering from a torn ACL. The Cardinals went 1-8 without him and 3-5 in games he started. This summer has been smooth sailing for Murray, and Gannon said this week that the ability to focus on football is a good thing for the quarterback. Fortunately for the Murray believers out there, he showcased no significant ill after-effects of the ACL injury regarding his efficiency as a ball carrier. His 5.55 yards per carry over his eight games last season aligns with his career average 5.8. The emergence of tight end Trey McBride as a plus-level pass-catching option and the offseason acquisition of Marvin Harrison Jr. to Arizona's offense should provide Murray with two competent go-to choices in the passing game. Between the belief in the coaching staff and a pair of high-level playmakers, Murray is an intelligent middle-round target to aim for to fill your QB roster spot.

Aug 9 1:10pm ET

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said quarterback Kyler Murray has gone "above and beyond" in responding to challenges from his coach, which coupled with his competitive spirit and immense talent, gives the Cardinals hope for the future. Murray completed 65.7% of his passes for 1,799 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions in eight games after coming back from a torn ACL in 2023. The former first-rounder was urged by Gannon to get "submerged with the group," particularly on offense, including offseason throwing sessions. The Cardinals will hold the 27-year-old signal-caller out of preseason action this year. With a fully healthy offseason under his belt, Murray is rising as a fantasy QB1, especially after the addition of rookie first-round receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. as his new No. 1 weapon in the passing game.

Aug 6 7:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will not play during the preseason. This comes as no surprise as many high-profile quarterbacks sit the entirety of the preseason, especially in recent years. Murray is coming off a season in which he threw for 1,799 yards, 10 touchdowns, and five interceptions in eight games. Murray added 244 rushing yards and three touchdowns despite coming off a torn ACL. While it is a bummer that we will not get to see Murray throw to Marvin Harrison Jr. in the preseason, fantasy managers should know what to expect from Murray at this point. The Cardinals' offense should be serviceable, with Murray behind center. As the current QB10 in fantasy drafts, Murray should be a target in fantasy drafts.

Jul 2 4:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. was selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Ohio State, meaning he has plenty of pressure on him to become a high-end blindside protector for quarterback Kyler Murray. Johnson was credited with giving up eight sacks last year while playing right tackle, according to PFF, but he's ready to make the Year 2 leap at his more natural position on the left side. "Yeah, I think personally, just Year 2, being able to fulfill all of the expectations that I have for myself, expectations that the team has for me being here," Johnson said. "My goal ultimately is to be the best tackle in the game." Johnson developing into at least an above-average left tackle in 2024 would be a significant boost for a potential ascending offense. Kyler Murray is back and healthy, and the team added Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey Benson to bolster its skill position group this offseason. Arizona could be an underrated offense for fantasy football.

Jun 20 6:40pm ET

The Athletic's Doug Haller writes that there is a lot of optimism from the Arizona Cardinals this offseason, with the biggest reason being that quarterback Kyler Murray is on the field. Murray was off to the side working with the team's conditioning staff at this time last year while trying to recover from ACL surgery. Murray's recovery affected Arizona's entire season in 2023 after he missed the first nine games. He spent the rest of the year learning a new offense and trying to find his way back, and it showed. An offseason built around Murray should make a difference in 2024. The 26-year-old put in extra work with his receivers on weekends, trying to perfect rhythm and timing. Murray probably isn't going to be an elite passer, especially given the lack of standout options at receiver in Arizona besides rookie first-rounder Marvin Harrison Jr., but his elite rushing ability and upside should give him a solid fantasy floor as a top-10 quarterback heading into upcoming fantasy drafts.

Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. will start at left tackle in 2024 after spending his rookie season on the right side, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon. Johnson was selected with the No. 6 overall pick out of Ohio State in the 2023 NFL Draft and started all 17 games in his debut campaign. Veteran D.J. Humphries occupied the left tackle spot in the desert for nine seasons, but he was released this offseason. Newly acquired veteran Jonah Williams will begin the season at right tackle. Protecting quarterback Kyler Murray and carving running lanes for James Conner and Trey Benson will be key priorities in 2024 for a potential ascending offense. Johnson Jr. will play a key part in that effort, and hopefully, he'll take a Year 2 leap after allowing eight sacks in 2023.

Dynasty | The Arizona Cardinals drafted Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: The Cardinals decided to stand pat in the draft and took Harrison with the fourth overall selection. He should immediately take over as the top option for Kyler Murray in the desert and is in place to immediately become a big factor in dynasty leagues. Simply put, Harrison has the talent, pedigree and skill set to be an immediate WR1 and should be the top overall position player taken in rookie drafts this off-season.
