2020 RTSports Outlook

Rosas scored a career-low 71 points, attempting just 17 field goals as the starter for the Giants. He also made just 70.6 percent of his field goals, which didn't help matters for his numbers. Rosas has fewer than 75 points two of three seasons but does have a 127-point season under his belt. He needs to regain that form from 2018. Rosas has a very strong leg, decent accuracy and a knack for making some clutch kicks. This might be a make or break year for him to remain the top kicker for the Giants.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Rosas found trouble this offseason and was released by the Giants. He might have a hard time finding work.

The New York Giants agreed to sign kicker Chandler Catanzaro to a one-year deal. Catanzaro "retired" in August, but likely wasn't too hard to convince to come back onto the field. He's kicked for the Panthers, Bucs, Jets, and Cardinals in his career, making 83.8 percent of his field goal attempts. The signing comes after the Giants released Aldrick Rosas, who had kicked for them since 2017. Rosas was charged with three misdemeanors after a hit-and-run earlier in the offseason.

The New York Giants are expected to release PK Aldrick Rosas soon, according to multiple sources.

New York Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas was formally charged with three misdemeanors as a result of a hit-and-run incident in June. Rosas was charged with reckless driving, hit-and-run property damage, and driving while suspended/revoked for DUI of alcohol/drugs. Rosas was a Pro Bowler in 2018 but struggled mightily last season connecting on just 12-of-17 (70.6%) field goal attempts. His struggles last season and pending legal matters make him easy to avoid in fantasy even if he remains with New York.

New York Giants PK Aldrick Rosas was formally charged with three misdemeanors in the Superior Court of California Wednesday, July 15, for his arrest in June. Butte County (Ca.) Deputy District Attorney Glenn Jennings filed a criminal complaint on Wednesday that charged Rosas with reckless driving on a highway, hit and run and property damage, and driving with a suspended or revoked license due to a previous DUI.

New York Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas was arrested on Monday morning following a hit-and-run incident in Chico, California. This was confirmed to NFL.com by the California Highway Patrol. According to the report, Rosas was driving at around 100 mph when he collided with another vehicle at an intersection and then attempted to flee the scene. He was located by a CHP officer soon after and arrested on charges of misdemeanor hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license. Alcohol is "believed to [have been] a factor" in the incident as well. The Giants released a statement, saying, "We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Aldrick. We have no further comment at this time." Rosas has kicked for the Giants for the past three seasons, but may face league discipline besides legal discipline before the season begins.

Apr 9 12:50pm ET

New York Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas signed his restricted free-agent contract on Thursday after the Giants previously made a second-round qualifying offer on March 16. The 2018 Pro Bowler has made 62 of 75 field-goal attempts (82.7 percent) and is 86-for-94 on extra points in 48 regular season games for the Giants. He made 32 of his 33 kicks in 2018, which was the fifth highest total in team history, and his 97 field-goal percentage was a Giants record. However, he attempted only 17 field goals in 2019 and made 12 of them, while making 35 of his 39 extra points. Until New York's offense proves worthy under second-year quarterback Daniel Jones, Rosas should be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

New York Giants restricted free-agent PK Aldrick Rosas received the second-round tender offer Monday, March 16, according to a source.

From TheHuddle

Mar 16 1:40pm ET

The New York Giants are placing the second-round tender on restricted free-agent kicker Aldrick Rosas, according to an NFL source. The second-round tender is for $3.3 million in 2020. Rosas, 25, attempted just 17 field goals for the G-Men in 2019 and made only 12 of them (career-low 70.6 percent). He made 35 of his 39 extra-point tries over a full season. The former Oregon kicker has made 82.7 percent of his kicks in his three seasons in the NFL. He finished 30th at his position in fantasy points in 2019 and should be left to the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues this fall.
