New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Sept. 18.

From TheHuddle

Sep 17 2:30pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Trevor Siemian (ankle) will miss the rest of the season after an MRI exam on Tuesday on his left ankle revealed ligament damage that will require surgery, according to head coach Adam Gase. Siemian, starting in place of the sick Sam Darnold on Monday night against the Browns, was injured early in the second quarter when Myles Garrett fell on top of him with most of his weight. He was on crutches and in a walking boot after the game and will be placed on season-ending Injured Reserve. Third-stringer Luke Falk will start for however long Darnold is out. He'll be a bottom-barrel QB2 in Week 3 on the road against the Patriots.

Updating previous reports, New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian (ankle) is out for the season.

Fantasy Spin: No surprise here, and Luke Falk becomes the de facto starter unless they make a trade. Avoid the situation entirely in fantasy.

Updating a previous report, New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian (leg) will have an MRI on his lower left leg injury Tuesday, Sept. 17.

From TheHuddle

Sep 17 1:33am ET

Updating a previous report, New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian (leg) walked through the locker room after the Week 2 game against the Cleveland Browns on Monday, Sept. 16 on crutches while wearing a heavy boot over his left lower leg. He wasn't putting any weight on the leg.

Fantasy Spin: Siemian was crunched by Myles Garrett on a play which drew a 15-yard flag, but it was likely Siemian's last play of the 2019 season. There is still no definitely word from the Jets on whether he suffered a broken leg, but he did walk off under his own power, while limping into the locker room. It certainly looked gross on TV, though. Luke Falk took over and finished the game, and is the presumed starter for Week 3 against he New England Patriots.

New York Jets quarterback Trevor Siemian (ankle) suffered what looked to be a serious ankle injury in the second quarter on Monday night against the Browns. Siemian was hit hard and got his ankle caught underneath him while being taken to the turf. Somehow he was able to walk off the field under his own power and is being taken to the locker room. We'd be surprised if he were able to come back into this game. Third-stringer Luke Falk is now in the game. The Jets haven't been able to get any offense going and are leaning heavily on running back Le'Veon Bell. Siemian was an embarrassing 3-for-6 for three yards before he departed.

New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian (leg) was hit in the second quarter of the Week 2 game against the Cleveland Browns and it appeared he suffered a lower leg injury. The telecast immediately cut away after the replay which showed the gruesome injury.

Fantasy Spin: Siemian was started in place of Sam Darnold (mononucleosis), and he didn't even last until halftime. The Jets will now turn to Luke Falk, the sixth-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2018, takes over under center. Siemian was able to walk off gingerly to the locker room with the help of the training staff.

From TheHuddle

Sep 12 4:40pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Trevor Siemian will start for the Jets Monday night against the Browns. Starter Sam Darnold (illness) has already been ruled out for the game and likely will miss the game against the Patriots in Week 3 as well. Siemian started 24 games for Denver in 2016 and 2017 throwing for only 5686 yards, 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions with a sub-60 percent completion percentage. The Jets offense struggled in Week 1 as it is so starting a backup QB is a downgrade to all of the Jets offensive weapons, especially deep threat Robby Anderson. Darnold is expected to be back after the Jets' bye in Week 4 so Siemian is not a viable add even in 2QB leagues as he'll be back on the bench before he's startable in that format.

From RotoBaller

Sep 12 1:03pm ET

New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian will start in Week 2 on Monday, Sept. 16, with QB Sam Darnold (illiness) out. 'We signed Trevor specifically because of his 24 starts, with a winning record,' Jets head coach Adam Gase said Thursday, Sept. 12. 'He has a lot of experience, been on winning ball clubs, he has the respect of the locker room. The reaction I got from the guys is, 'Let's go.' '

Fantasy Spin: Siemian's last start came with the Broncos in 2017, and he's nothing more than a deep two-QB league fantasy option this week against a solid Browns defense.

From TheHuddle

Jul 25 9:33am ET

New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian is working with the second-team offense Thursday, July 25, while QB Davis Webb is working with the third-teamers.

From TheHuddle

Jul 10 1:23pm ET

New York Jets QB Davis Webb usurped QB Trevor Siemian as the primary backup on the depth chart in the latter stages of organized team activities.
