2024 RTSports Outlook

Minshew was the top backup for the Eagles for the second straight season. He started two games and showed well in those starts. He scored 29.3 fantasy points in Week 16 against the Cowboys, throwing for 355 yards while scoring three total touchdowns. Minshew will look to earn a starting job this year with the Colts, but nothing is guaranteed. Minshew has 46 total touchdowns to just 15 interceptions in four seasons. Minshew is a playmaker. He moves around the pocket well and makes most of his big plays outside the pocket. He does miss some throws he should make and his accuracy needs to continue to improve, especially on deep throws.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Minshew has produced for fantasy teams, so he has some value as long as he is starting. He will make some big plays on a weekly basis, giving him pretty consistent fantasy production. He can be a decent No. 2 for fantasy teams if he wins a starting job once again.

The Las Vegas Raiders are signing veteran quarterback Gardner Minshew to a two-year deal, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The 27-year-old was a sixth-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019 and has made 37 starts for three organizations. Between his time with the Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles, and Indianapolis Colts, Minshew has thrown for 9,937 yards, 59 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions. In Las Vegas, he might have a chance to compete for the starting job, or he might get to start at the beginning of the season while the team eases a potential 2024 rookie into action. Minshew is not on the single-QB radar in fantasy football, but he should be monitored by two-QB and Superflex league fantasy managers.

Jan 7 2:00am ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew completed 13 of his 24 passes for 142 yards in the team's 23-19 loss to the Houston Texans. Minshew struggled to move the ball through the air and wasn't able to convert on a 4th-and-one pass to running back Tyler Goodson with just over a minute left in regulation which ultimately decided the game. Minshew did an excellent job in relief of rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) this season, helping the team to finish with a 9-8 record. Minshew wraps up the 2023 campaign with 3,305 passing yards, a 15 to nine touchdown-to-interception ratio, and another 100 yards rushing. Barring the return of Richardson (shoulder) in the 2024 season, it's likely that Minshew will resume his role as the backup next season.

Jan 5 9:00pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew has been a hit-or-miss fantasy option for most of the 2023 season. In Week 17, he completed 15 of his 23 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown in the team's win against the Las Vegas Raiders. He now gears up for a win-and-in regular-season finale, when the Colts square off against the Texans on Saturday night. Houston has made for a decent matchup for quarterbacks, allowing the ninth most fantasy points to the position. Their secondary has struggled from a yardage perspective as well, allowing the eight most yards through the air this season. With many of fantasy's top QBs sitting out this week, fantasy managers can look to include Minshew as a low-end QB1 this week.

From RotoBaller

Dec 29 8:30pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew completed 20 of his 37 passes for 201 yards and no touchdowns in the team's Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He now gears up for a Week 17 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, a defense allowing the tenth-least fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Minshew's fantasy production is most reliant on passing touchdowns, which the Raiders have done a good job of defending this year, allowing just 19 on the season. Fantasy managers in need of a streaming option at quarterback this week may want to look elsewhere, as Minshew will likely only provide 2QB/Superflex value.

Dec 24 10:20pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew completed 20 of his 37 passing attempts for 201 yards through the air in the team's 29-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Minshew threw no touchdowns and one interception on the day. Indy had difficulty moving the ball against Atlanta's defense, and Minshew's fantasy production took a dip as a result. He remains primarily a deeper streaming option in Week 17 when the Colts square off against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Dec 16 9:50pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew was extremely productive in the team's 30-13 Week 15 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Minshew completed 18 of his 28 passes, for 215 yards and three touchdowns. He also did a great job taking care of the ball, with zero turnovers. Minshew lost his No. 1 target in wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion) in the first half and was still able to make due. He will look to continue the momentum into Week 16 when the Colts face off against the Atlanta Falcons.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 6:20pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew went 26 for 39 passing for 240 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. While he's done a decent job as the starter for Indy, he hasn't had many weeks in which he has been a top-tier quarterback for fantasy purposes. That likely won't change in Week 15 when the Colts face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh has done a great job containing quarterbacks this season, allowing the seventh-least fantasy points to the position. With little rushing upside to pair along with it, Minshew does not make for a great start this week considering the matchup. Fantasy managers in deeper QB2/Superflex formats can look his way, but otherwise, he is largely off the radar this week.

Dec 3 9:00pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew put together a strong performance to lead the Colts to a 31-28 overtime win against the Tennessee Titans. Minshew completed 26 of his 42 attempts for 312 yards, throwing touchdowns to both wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce. Minshew took decent care of the ball, throwing no interceptions but he did lose one of his two fumbles on the day. Minshew remains primarily a streaming option, but the fifth-year man can be started in some lineups in Week 14 when the Colts square off against the Cincinnati Bengals

From RotoBaller

Dec 3 5:30pm ET

Colts' QB Gardner Minshew II passed for 312 yards on 26-of-42 with two touchdowns in Sunday's win in Tennessee.

Dec 1 6:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew put together a decent fantasy performance in the team's 27-20 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12. Minshew completed 24 of his 41 attempts for 251 yards and an interception, but the main catalyst behind his fantasy points came from his two-yard rushing touchdown. Minshew has only run the ball an average of two times in his nine starts this season, so it's not something fantasy managers will be able to bank on moving forward. In addition, he also has not thrown for a touchdown in his last two starts. He now faces a fairly weak Tennessee secondary, but the Titans have still made for an average matchup against fantasy quarterbacks allowing the 16th most points to the position. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues needing a spot-starter given bye weeks can look to start Minshew as a low-ceiling QB1. Aside from that, Minshew should only be started in QB2/Superflex leagues.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 7:50pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew has had a streak of underwhelming fantasy performances. Most recently was in Week 10 when Minshew threw 18 completions on 24 attempts for 194 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the team's 10-6 win against the New England Patriots. While Minshew has been a solid game manager for the Colts, he hasn't had a ton of fantasy upside to go along with it. That could change in Week 12 when the Colts square off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This season, the Bucs' defense has allowed the fourth-most points to opposing fantasy QBs, as well as allowing the second-most passing yards. In a game that has shootout potential, Minshew may be the beneficiary. Minshew should be started in all 2QB/Superflex formats but does carry some potential as a spot starter in 1QB leagues as well.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 8:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew is coming off a Week 9 win against the Carolina Panthers where he didn't necessarily jump off the stat sheet from a fantasy perspective. Minshew threw for only 127 yards and one touchdown on his 17 completions on 26 attempts. He'll now face a New England Patriots defense allowing an average of only 15 points to opposing fantasy quarterbacks this season. That being said, the Patriots defense hasn't done a great job defending the pass this season. They are currently allowing the 12th most receiving yards per game as well as the 11th most receptions per game. With all that in mind, Minshew's stat lines from his past few outings don't jump him up the rankings all too much. Fantasy managers should look to include the fifth-year signal caller as a higher-end option in QB2/Superflex leagues.

From RotoBaller

Nov 6 12:20am ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew threw for 127 yards and one touchdown through the air while completing 17 of his 26 passing attempts in the team's 27-13 win against the Carolina Panthers. Minshew was not called on to do much in this game, as Indy's secondary provided two pick-sixes to widen the gap early in the contest. Minshew remains somewhere on the QB2 radar as he fills in for rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson. The fifth-year signal caller should likely only be in consideration for QB2/Superflex leagues when the Colts face off against the New England Patriots in Week 10.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 8:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew is coming off a 213-yard, two-touchdown game in Week 8 when the Colts lost to the New Orleans Saints. Now in Week 9, he finds himself in an interesting spot against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers' defense has allowed the ninth-least points to opposing fantasy quarterbacks while being the third-worst scoring defense. On top of that, they have allowed the sixth-least passing yards per game. The Colts' scoring defense is also one of the league's worst, leaving the potential for the game to result in a shootout. With that, there isn't a safe enough floor in this spot for Minshew to be considered above a middle-of-the-pack QB2 option.

From RotoBaller

Oct 30 11:20am ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterbackGardner Minshew had a decent day in the team's 38-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints. He completed 23 of his 41 attempts for 213 yards and two touchdowns, throwing one interception in the process. Minshew remains primarily a 2QB or superflex league starter while he replaces rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson(shoulder) this season. The fifth-year signal caller can be considered a potential streaming option when the Colts face off against the Carolina Panthers in Week 9.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 4:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterbackGardner Minshewis coming off his best fantasy performance of the season, where he accounted for four total touchdowns in the team's 39-38 loss to the Cleveland Browns. While Minshew has been a solid streaming option the past couple of weeks, he finds himself in a tough matchup in Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints defense. The Saints' defense has allowed the sixth least amount of points to opposing fantasy quarterbacks this season. On top of that, the Saints currently have a top-four pass defense in the league, allowing only 187 passing yards per game. Fantasy managers may have to pass on Minshew as a streaming option this week, but he can be started in 2QB or superflex leagues for this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Oct 24 1:00pm ET

Indianapolis' QB Gardner Minshew II scored an astounding 34.15 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 7 loss against the Browns. Minshew II threw for 305 yards on 15-of-23 with two touchdowns and one interception.

Oct 22 5:30pm ET

Colts' QB Gardner Minshew II passed for 305 yards on 15-of-23 with two touchdowns in Sunday's loss against the Browns. It was Minshew II's 2nd consecutive 300+ yard passing game. He has averaged 317 yards passing in those games.

Oct 20 11:00pm ET

Indianapolis Colts quarterbackGardner Minshewhas done an excellent job distributing the ball through the air in his tenure as the starter. He threw for over 300 yards in a 37-20 Week 6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite his success through the air, turnovers were a factor in the loss, as he committed four total. Minshew faces off against the league's best scoring and passing defense in Week 7 in the Cleveland Browns. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a streaming option, as Minshew carries limited value in this matchup and is mainly an option in superflex formats.

From RotoBaller

Oct 16 10:50am ET

The newly instated Indianapolis Colts' starting quarterback,Gardner Minshew, had a rough outing against his former team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, as they lost 37-20. Minshew was active in the passing game as the Colts found themselves looking to get out of an early deficit, completing 33 of his 55 passes for 329 yards and a touchdown. Turnovers also played a significant role in his performance, throwing three interceptions and losing one fumble. Minshew will face the league's best scoring and passing defense as they host the Cleveland Browns, making him a risky fantasy option in Week 7.
