2024 RTSports Outlook

St. Brown took another huge step forward in year two, finishing seventh overall in fantasy receiver scoring. He topped 100 receptions and 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. His only fantasy issues is so-so touchdown numbers. He has 12 touchdowns in two seasons, which is just alright. St. Brown had double-digit fantasy points all but three games. He had two games with double-digit receptions and four 100-yard showings. He is the top receiver in an emerging Lions offense. St. Brown can get better with more seasoning, which is scary for the rest of the NFL. St. Brown is not an explosive player but runs top-notch routes and has great hands. He is not going to wow you in any one area but makes plays and gets open. He just gets it done. St. Brown catches nearly everything thrown his way, having just five drops in two seasons on 265 targets.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: St. Brown is a top-10 fantasy option. He will be a solid No. 1 for fantasy teams. He is going to rack up the catches on a weekly basis, posting very consistent fantasy numbers. And if his touchdown numbers improve, which is possible, he could be a top-five receiver. He can get around 110 receptions for 1,200 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Detroit Lions and star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown have been discussing a contract extension that would likely make him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the league. St. Brown's agent and Detroit brass met last month at the NFL scouting combine to begin negotiations as it appears that both sides are motivated to get something worked out. St. Brown is heading into the final year of his rookie deal and will play at an absolute bargain price of $3.366 million in 2024. The team is making it a priority to get St. Brown and quarterback Jared Goff extended this offseason after they came just one win short of making it to the Super Bowl.

The Detroit Lions want to sign wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to a long-term contract extension this offseason and are scheduled to meet with his representatives at the NFL scouting combine this week in Indianapolis. No deal is imminent, but the Lions have made it clear they want to invest in St. Brown and the rest of their roster this offseason. Detroit is also prioritizing getting a new deal done with quarterback Jared Goff. St. Brown, entering his fourth NFL season, is in line for a multi-year extension that will make him one of the highest-paid receivers in the league. He tied for second in the NFL with 119 catches in 2023 and finished third with 1,515 receiving yards t earn first-team All-Pro honors. St. Brown will be a top-five fantasy wideout in 2024 fantasy drafts without a doubt.

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is in line for a multi-year extension that will make him one of the highest-paid receivers in football, and it appears the team is interested in laying the groundwork to get it done this offseason, according to recent comments from general manager Brad Holmes at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. Those discussions will reportedly begin at the combine this week.

Feb 17 1:43pm ET

The Detroit Lions and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown are in talks about a contract extension that would be for at least three years and about $25 million annually, per source on Thursday, Feb. 15.

Fantasy Spin: St. Brown has gotten better and better each year and has quietly become one of the better players at his position in the league. St. Brown had a career-best campaign in 2023 that saw him tally 119 receptions for 1,515 yards, which led to him ranking as WR3 overall. He's a WR1 moving forward.

From TheHuddle

Jan 29 9:50am ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught seven of his 11 targets for 87 yards in the NFC Championship Game loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The 1,500-yard receiver during the regular season caught five passes for 73 yards in the first half, but he was limited in the second half as the Detroit offense sputtered. St. Brown was named an All-Pro for the first time in his career this season, and he should remain a high-end WR1 in fantasy football for years to come. Although Detroit is likely to lose offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, St. Brown's connection with Jared Goff rivals any WR-QB duo in the league.

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown caught seven passes on 11 targets for 87 yards in a 34-31 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.

From TheHuddle

Jan 25 2:10pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been a consistent producer all year, posting at least 95 receiving yards or scoring a touchdown in 17 of his 18 games. With a trip to Super Bowl LVIII on the line, the third-year pro draws a neutral matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners surrendered the 14th-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers during the regular season and gave up 100-yard receiving games to six wideouts. St. Brown is a fixture for double-digit targets, and with Josh Reynolds (ribs), Kalif Raymond (knee), and Sam LaPorta (knee) all banged up, he should continue to be fed on Sunday. He is the most expensive wide receiver for DraftKings contests this weekend at $7.900, but he's likely worth paying up for.

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown ended up with eight catches for 77 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets in the NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jan 21 6:40pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught eight of his 14 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in the 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Divisional Round. The third-year pro could have had a much bigger day if he and Jared Goff could connect on a few more of his targets, but either way, he came through with a touchdown with just under seven minutes in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory. Next week, he should be in for another high-volume day in a neutral matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.

From RotoBaller

Jan 19 10:43pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round of the playoffs, and St. Brown had 12 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown against the Buccaneers in a matchup during the regular season.

Fantasy Spin: St. Brown finished third in the league in receiving yards and was tied for second in receptions, so the Buccaneers weren't the only team that he torched this year. After finishing with seven catches for 110 yards to open the playoffs, St. Brown should be one of the top options in all playoff contests.

From TheHuddle

Jan 18 2:20pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown racked up at least 95 receiving yards in ten of his 16 regular season games, and he did it again in the Wild Card win over the Los Angeles Rams -- catching seven passes for 110 yards. Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round, St. Brown should be in for another field day. The Bucs allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers during the regular season and gave up 12 catches, 124 yards, and one score to St. Brown in Week 6. The third-year USC product is arguably the most consistent player in all of fantasy football and DFS, so his stretch of production should continue on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Jan 15 9:40am ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught seven of his nine targets for 110 yards in the NFC Wild Card victory over the Los Angeles Rams. It was the third-year pro's playoff debut, and he remained a consistent and reliable pass-catcher for quarterback Jared Goff. The 2023 First-Team All-Pro totaled at least 100 yards in nine of his 16 games this year, so by no surprise, he took advantage of the favorable matchup against the Rams. Next week, he'll face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Philadelphia Eagles at home. Both teams were bottom-ten defenses against fantasy wideouts during the regular season, so St. Brown should be in for another big day in the Divisional Round.

Lions' WR Amon-Ra St. Brown had 7 receptions for 110 yards but no touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Rams. It was St. Brown's 2nd consecutive 100+ yard receiving game. He has averaged 7 catches with 127 receiving yards in those games.

Jan 11 3:30pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown posted a career year this season, compiling 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and ten touchdowns. The second-year pro was one of the most reliable options in all of fantasy football, as he posted at least 16.6 PPR fantasy points in 13 of his 17 games. To begin postseason action, he draws a matchup with the struggling Los Angeles Rams' secondary. L.A. allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers during the regular season, and this game will be played at Ford Field, where Detroit has been its best in the passing attack. St. Brown is one of the most bust-proof players in the NFL, so likely worth paying up for at his $8,000 price tag in six-game DFS tournaments this weekend on DraftKings.

St. Brown was nothing short of spectacular this year, finishing with 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. He'll be an early first-round pick in 2024 fantasy drafts and he's a top-five dynasty wideout. Next up for St. Brown is a home playoff game in his first postseason action of his young career.
