Updating a previous report, Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during the Week 14 game, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Fantasy Spin: Ben Sinnott, John Bates and Colson Yankoff are candidates to see additional playing time with Ertz unavailable. None of the tight ends have more than eight receptions this season and can all be avoided in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
An MRI exam on Monday confirmed that Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz (knee) suffered a season-ending torn ACL in the Week 14 shutout loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. It's tough news for the 35-year-old veteran, who will finish his 13th year in the NFL with 50 receptions on 72 targets for 504 yards and four touchdowns in 13 starts in his second year with the Commanders. Fantasy managers can safely drop Ertz now. Ben Sinnott will be the best bet for most of the targets as the team's top pass-catching TE with Ertz done for the year, although he will be sharing snaps with John Bates and Colson Yankoff. At best, Sinnott will be a low-end TE2 streamer for fantasy managers in deeper leagues in Week 15 when Washington battles the division-rival New York Giants on the road.

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz (knee) is feared to have torn his ACL during Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, according to head coach Dan Quinn. Ertz exited during the second half of the 31-0 defeat and was visibly emotional while being carted to the locker room. Washington is now 3-10 and will miss the playoffs, but the loss will be felt nonetheless, especially given how Ertz's veteran presence impacted the team both on and off the field. If his season-ending injury is confirmed, Ben Sinnott will step up as the Commanders' No. 1 tight end for the rest of the year.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz (knee) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 14 contest against the Minnesota Vikings. He was carted off the field and quickly ruled out. The veteran tight end finished the game with two targets, one catch, and 11 receiving yards. Ertz was emotional while being carted to the locker room, and there appears to be concern that he suffered a serious injury. We'll likely know more about his injury and status as he undergoes additional testing in the aftermath of Sunday's 31-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Ben Sinnott will step up as the Commanders' top tight end in his absence.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (knee) left the Week 14 game against the Minnesota Vikings in the second half due to an apparent knee injury, and he was helped from the field before being carted to the locker room.
Fantasy Spin: Ertz's injury looked to be rather serious, and his right knee appeared to bend back the wrong way. It could be a rather serious injury for the veteran Ertz. We'll update when more details become available.
From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz posted a massive receiving line in Week 13 against Denver, totaling 10 receptions for 106 yards on 13 targets. It marked the veteran's first 100-yard performance since last season's NFC Championship game against his former team in the Philadelphia Eagles. The 35-year-old has been a reliable target for both quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Jayden Daniels (elbow) this season, and Daniels is slated to return in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings. Ertz's fantasy value is higher with Daniels at the helm, as he's been his go-to target down in the red zone, scoring 11 touchdowns in 23 games together. Daniels should be looking Ertz's direction often on Sunday against a blitz-happy Vikings defense. He ranks as RotoBaller's TE15 in PPR leagues in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (non-injury), DE Drake Jackson (groin, knee), DT Javon Kinlaw (back), LB Von Miller (non-injury), OT Laremy Tunsil (non-injury) and LB Bobby Wagner (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 3. QB Jayden Daniels (elbow) and LB Frankie Luvu (shoulder) were limited during practice. WR Noah Brown (groin, knee) and LS Tyler Ott (back) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Fantasy Spin: Ertz is coming off his first 100-yard game of the season last week and has been targeted at least five times in six of the last seven games. He should see a good amount of targets in Week 14 and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in some leagues.
From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz had a monster game in Week 13, recording 10 catches for 106 yards on 13 targets against the Denver Broncos. The 35-year-old has been a stable producer in recent weeks, recording at least four catches and 42 receiving yards in each of his last four games. Perhaps most importantly for Ertz's production upside, Washington could be getting quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) back from injury in the coming weeks, possibly even as soon as Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings. Across 23 career games where Ertz has shared the field with Daniels, he's recorded 11 touchdown catches. While Ertz's fantasy value still mostly comes from his stable floor, his touchdown upside skyrockets with Daniels on the field. Ertz could establish himself as a consistent low-end starting fantasy tight end if Daniels does indeed return in early December.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz had a huge game in Week 13, recording 10 catches for 106 yards on 13 targets in an overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. Across 12 games this season, the 35-year-old has hauled in 49 catches for 493 yards and four touchdowns on 70 targets. It's worth noting that Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota attempted 50 passes in Week 13, a level of pass volume that is highly unlikely to repeat in future weeks. However, Washington could be getting quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) back as soon as Week 14, which would be a boost for Ertz. All four of Ertz's four touchdown receptions this season have come in the six games Daniels has been healthy for. The Commanders will face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14. In leagues where he is available on the waiver wire, Ertz could be a solid streaming option for fantasy managers to target at the tight end position.
From RotoBaller
Commanders' TE Zach Ertz had 10 receptions for 106 yards but no touchdowns in Sunday's loss against the Broncos.
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz collected 10 catches for 106 yards versus the Denver Broncos in Week 13. Ertz was targeted 13 times.
Fantasy Spin: Ertz had a very good game on Sunday night, but he fell short of greatness for fantasy owners with a flat-out drop of a would-be touchdown in overtime. Washington ended up scoring on the next play, though, so Ertz won't be vilified for it. Despite the drop, Ertz has emerged as a legitimate top 10 option at tight end after injuries (LaPorta, Kraft) and underperformances (Hockenson, Njoku) have thinned the position.
From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz hauled in 10 catches for 106 yards on 14 targets in Sunday night's 27-26 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. Ertz led Washington in catches and yards in a wild game that came down to the wire. The veteran's performance against the Broncos on Sunday night marked the second game with 10+ catches and 100+ receiving yards since joining the Commanders last year, with the other being the NFC Championship against his former team in the Philadelphia Eagles. Ertz has continued to be ultra productive in his age-35 season, totaling 39 receptions for 387 yards and four touchdowns on 57 targets in 11 games this season.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz has recorded exactly four receptions in four games in a row and continues to be a solid contributor in his age-35 season. Since recording zero receptions in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers for the first time in a game since 2014, Ertz has collected 25 receptions (36 targets) for 238 yards and two touchdowns. His 25 receptions are tied for the 12th most among tight ends during that span. The veteran hasn't found the end zone since Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, and remains a lower-ceiling fantasy option due to his lack of explosiveness, but he has a stable floor as a reliable option in Washington's passing attack. Ertz has a tough matchup in Week 13 against an elite Denver Broncos defense and ranks as RotoBaller's TE17 in PPR leagues.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (rest) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 26, getting the veteran's day of rest.
Fantasy Spin: Ertz should be able to practice Thursday and/or Friday, and he faces the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football. The Broncos are middle of the road, in terms of fantasy points allowed to tight ends. He is a borderline low-end TE1 or top TE2 in most leagues for this matchup.
From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (non-injury), LB Von Miller (non-injury), LS Tyler Ott (illness), RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. (illness) and OT Laremy Tunsil (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 26. WR Noah Brown (groin, knee), WR Treylon Burks (finger), QB Jayden Daniels (elbow), WR Jaylin Lane (hip), LB Frankie Luvu (shoulder) and WR Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) were limited during practice. S Will Harris (ankle), DE Drake Jackson (knee), LB Ale Kaho (concussion) and TE Ben Sinnott (ankle) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz caught four passes for 42 yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 11. He was targeted eight times during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Ertz has caught at least four passes in five of his last six games but has posted at least 50 yards in only one of those games. The Commanders have a Week 12 bye, but Ertz should see a handful of targets in Week 13 and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in most leagues.
From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz has still been a useful player for fantasy leagues in his age-35 season, recording 35 catches for 345 yards and four touchdowns on 49 targets. Ertz has four catches in each of his past four games and made a few impressive contested grabs in Washington's Week 10 loss to the Lions. The veteran doesn't present much fantasy upside at this stage of his career, but he's always a threat to score a touchdown as Washington's offense has stayed relatively efficient with Marcus Mariota filling in for an injured Jayden Daniels (elbow). Ertz hasn't scored in the past three games, but gets an enticing matchup against the Miami Dolphins defense that has allowed the third most PPR points per game to opposing tight ends. Ertz ranks as RotoBaller's TE12 for Sunday's matchup in Madrid, Spain.

From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Fantasy Spin: Ertz has caught four passes in each of his last three games and is coming off one of his best performances of the season in Week 10. He will see a good amount of targets this week and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in most leagues.
