Player Notes
Dec 15 5:40am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) won't play against the Bills on Sunday night. Schuster practiced in full on Wednesday, but after aggravating the injury on Thursday, he will now miss another one as the Steelers look to remain playoff relevant. In his absence, Diontae Johnson will likely get the most catches for those in PPR formats, with James Washingtonserving as the biggest threat on deep routes in Week 15.

From RotoBaller

Dec 13 4:13pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 13, and has been ruled out for Week 15.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster aggravated his injury earlier in the week and will miss at least one more game. James Washington and Diontae Johnson will continue to be the main options in the passing game. Washington can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues, while Johnson could be a possible flex option in deeper leagues.

Dec 13 2:53pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and TE Vance McDonald (concussion) did not practice Friday, Dec. 13, and have been ruled out for Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills. RB James Conner (shoulder) practiced in full all week and is listed as questionable. RB Jaylen Samuels (groin), OT Alejandro Villanueva (non-injury), OG David DeCastro (non-injury), LB Mark Barron (non-injury), OG Ramon Foster (non-injury), WR Johnny Holton (illness) and C Maurkice Pouncey (non-injury) were full participants at practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 13 10:30am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is not expected to play in Week 15 on Sunday night against the Bills after aggravating his knee during practice on Thursday, according to a source. It's just another bit of disappointment in a rough season for Smith-Schuster without Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) for the majority of the season. The team's No. 1 wideout will be missing his fourth straight game. He had already become more of a WR3 in an offense now led by third-string quarterback Devlin Hodges anyway. James Washington and Diontae Johnson will be the top two wideouts again with Smith-Schuster out, but both are extremely difficult to get behind in the fantasy semifinals in a tough matchup against Buffalo.

From RotoBaller

Dec 13 9:13am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is unlikely to play in Week 15 after he aggravated his knee injury in practice Thursday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Spin: It might be a little early for this, but aggravating the original injury that has kept him out so long could spell the end of his regular season. James Washington has been a borderline WR1 over the last five weeks, and he'll be a solid WR2 against the Buffalo Bills.

From TheHuddle

Dec 12 4:50pm ET

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), who was limited in practice on Thursday, is still expected to play in Week 15 against the Bills on Sunday night, barring any future setbacks. Smith-Schuster practiced in full on Wednesday, so the limited practice was initially seen as a troubling setback. He's been out since Nov. 14, though, and is more of a weak WR4 choice for fantasy owners with Devlin Hodges throwing him passes in an extremely tough matchup. Avoiding all Pittsburgh pass-catchers is probably the best strategy in the fantasy playoffs. James Washington's upside takes the biggest hit with Smith-Schuster expected back.

From RotoBaller

Dec 12 4:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (foot) left practice early on Thursday and was listed as a limited participant. Smith-Schuster was expected to return in Week 15 against the Bills and was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, so this represents a setback for the disappointing receiver. There's now no guarantee that he'll play this Sunday, and even if he does, he's more of a WR4 in a tough matchup against Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White. Smith-Schuster hasn't played since Nov. 14 against the Browns and will have limited upside the rest of the way with Devlin Hodges at quarterback. James Washington and Diontae Johnson will benefit if he misses another contest.

From RotoBaller

Dec 12 3:53pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster was downgraded during practice Thursday, so his status for Week 15 is still uncertain. He can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option if he plays, but fantasy players need to have other options ready in case he is ruled out.

From TheHuddle

Dec 12 3:33pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers OG Ramon Foster (non-injury) and WR Johnny Holton (illness) did not take part in practice Thursday, Dec. 12. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and TE Vance McDonald (concussion) were limited. RB James Conner (shoulder), RB Jaylen Samuels (groin), OT Alejandro Villanueva (non-injury), OG David DeCastro (non-injury), LB Mark Barron (non-injury) and C Maurkice Pouncey (non-injury) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Dec 11 4:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster has not played since the middle of November because of various injuries but appears to be on track for Week 15. He will be working with a new quarterback if he plays but could still be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 10 1:13pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is expected to practice at some point this week, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster is expected to return this week, but it'll be in a difficult matchup against the Buffalo Bills. He'll be a WR2 if he makes it back.

From TheHuddle

Dec 9 9:23am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is eyeing a return for Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster would return to a tough matchup, but he'll be a solid WR2.

From TheHuddle

Dec 8 3:03pm ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers have declared CB Artie Burns, QB Paxton Lynch, LB Tuzar Skipper, RB James Conner, OT Chukwuma Okorafor, TE Zach Gentry and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster inactive for Week 14.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 6:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) will miss a third-consecutive game against the Arizona Cardinals. Smith-Schuster hasn't participated in a practice since suffering a concussion and knee injury against the Browns in Week 11. However, he's shed the concussion tag but the knee injury is clearly still an issue. Look for James Washington and Diontae Johnson to continue to see the majority of targets in the passing game, while Vance McDonald could also have a big Week 14 against a Cardinals Defense that has allowed 13 touchdowns to tight ends.

From RotoBaller

Dec 6 3:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 6, and has been ruled out for Week 14.

Fantasy Spin: James Washington should receive the most targets among the receivers this week and has a good connection with Devlin Hodges. He can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 3:13pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was unable to practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 14 versus the Arizona Cardinals. RB James Conner (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and has also been ruled out. LB Mark Barron (knee, non-injury) was limited Friday, Dec. 6, but no longer appears on the injury report. WR Diontae Johnson (illness), TE Vance McDonald (non-injury) and OG Ramon Foster (non-injury) practiced in full Friday and also have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 5:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) missed his second straight practice this week on Thursday. Smith-Schuster is unlikely to play again this weekend against the Cardinals and could be sidelined again in Week 15 if his knee injury does not improve. In an offense now run by quarterback Devlin Hodges, Smith-Schuster won't be anything more than a low-upside WR3 if he's active during the fantasy playoffs. James Washington has become a WR3 in Smith-Schuster's absence, but a projected low target share doesn't bode well for his chances of helping fantasy owners. Diontae Johnson (illness), who returned to a full practice on Thursday, will be the No. 2 behind Washington.

From RotoBaller

Dec 5 4:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster probably will miss another game because of the knee injury, so James Washington will continue to be the main option in the passing game for the Steelers. He has shown a good connection with Devlin Hodges and can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 12:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is unlikely to return in Week 14 against the Cardinals. Fantasy owners that own Smith-Schuster shouldn't be counting on him for their lineups in the first week of the fantasy playoffs. He might not even be a lock to make it back in time for Week 15. The bottom line is that Smith-Schuster has been one of the biggest WR busts in fantasy this year due to injury and the fact that Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) was hurt early in the season. James Washington continues to be the top wideout in Smith-Schuster's absence, but he'll be a volatile WR3 with Devlin Hodges at quarterback.

From RotoBaller

Dec 4 4:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster hasn't played since leaving the Week 11 game against the Cleveland. Fantasy managers haven't necessarily been missing his production, as he's been one of the biggest disappointments of the fantasy season. WR James Washington has played well in his absence.
