Player Notes
Nov 3 6:43pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard rushed 19 times for 82 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears, his former team.

Fantasy Spin: Howard has been seeing plenty of touches lately, and he remains a decent RB2 in most fantasy leagues. However, you'll need to make alternate plans with a bye in Week 10.

From TheHuddle

Nov 3 4:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard led the Eagles backfield again in Week 9. He scored a touchdown and gained 82 yards on 19 carries. He added another yard on his lone reception. Howard's touchdown was a 13-yard run in the third quarter. Howard out-touched Miles Sanders 20-to-13 and should continue to be the leader of the Eagles backfield, especially in goal line situations. Howard's upside will be limited by his lack of involvement in the passing game, but he should still be a fairly consistent RB2 as long as game flow cooperates.

From RotoBaller

Nov 1 10:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard faces the Chicago Bears in Week 9, and Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com believes Howard will run for 100-plus yards against a Chicago defense that has struggled against the run without DT Akiem Hicks (elbow) in the lineup.

Fantasy Spin: Howard has emerged as the lead back for the Eagles this season, and he is coming off a 23-carry effort in Week 8. He should at least be a RB2 option against his former team.

From TheHuddle

Oct 30 11:30am ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard could be a solid option in Week 9 despite a seemingly tough matchup against a strong Chicago Bears Defense. The Eagles were able to establish a strong running game against the Bills in Week 8, leading Howard to a season-high 96 yards on the ground. More of the same could be in store this week, as the Eagles are likely to try to avoid throwing against the Bears secondary as much as possible. It could be a big game for Howard because of the injury to rookie Miles Sanders (shoulder) as well. Howard is a solid RB2 with some nice touchdown upside this week.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 9:13pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard ran 23 times for 96 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. He also added a 15-yard touchdown reception on two targets.

Fantasy Spin: Howard has 11 or more carries in six straight games and his touchdown was his first since Oct. 6. He still has potential as a RB2 if the Eagles give him this type of work regularly. He'll likely come with a little extra next week when the Chicago Bears a pay visit to his new home.

From TheHuddle

Oct 27 4:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard had another successful performance in Week 8, running the ball 23 times for 96 yards and a touchdown. He added one reception for 15 more yards. Howard's touchdown came on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter. Howard has blatantly established himself as the lead back for the Eagles, as Miles Sanders and Boston Scott combined for just eight carries. Howard's role makes him a fantasy option, but his limited passing game ability keeps his ceiling fairly low.

From RotoBaller

Oct 23 12:20pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard might only play a fantasy relevant role in Week 8 if he is able to score a touchdown. Howard and the Eagles travel to Buffalo to take on a tough Bills Defense. While Howard has handled almost all early-down and goal line work lately, he has not put together many yards and is a complete non-factor in the passing game. He's looking at another game that could possibly be similar to his 50-yard performance in Week 7. Howard is a risky RB3 with a concerning floor this week.

From RotoBaller

Oct 21 12:43am ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard ran 11 times for 50 yards and caught both of his targets for six yards in Week 7 versus the Dallas Cowboys.

Fantasy Spin: Even though Howard contributes a bit in the passing game, he usually needs positive game script in order to do his best work. That did not happen in this contest, as Dallas had a 14-point edge just over six minutes into the game and led by 20 at halftime. Howard has turned in three very similar games (between 49 and 62 total yards) since his three-score effort in Week 4 and probably can't be asked to do much more than that in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills.

From TheHuddle

Oct 21 12:00am ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard did as asked in Week 7, running the ball 11 times for 50 yards. He added two catches for six more yards. Howard didn't have a ton of room to run, but he out-touched Miles Sanders 13-to-9, again solidifying his spot atop the Philly running back depth chart. The entire Eagles offense struggled in Week 7, and they should have another tough time in Week 8 against a stout Bills Defense. Howard will be a volume-based RB2/3.

From RotoBaller

Oct 16 12:10pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard could struggle in Week 7. The Eagles travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys in a battle for first place, and Howard will face off against a tough Dallas run defense. While he has become the head of the Philly backfield, Howard is still a zero in the passing game, limiting his upside to touchdowns. He's right on the RB2/3 border, but his goal line role will always give him some upside in any matchup.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 8:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard didn't do much in Week 6. He ran the ball 13 times, gaining 49 yards. Howard's 3.8 yards per carry average wasn't anything special, and he added nothing in the passing game. Still, he clearly ran ahead of rookie Miles Sanders, who only carried the ball three times for six yards. Howard should continue to work as the running portion of the Eagles running back tandem, but he's somewhat touchdown dependent in his role and much more valuable in standard scoring than in PPR.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 5:43pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard rushed for 49 yards on 13 carries against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6.

Fantasy Spin: Howard saw his three-game touchdown streak snapped this week but has received at least 10 carries in each of the last four games. He appears to be the top option in the running game for the Eagles but may only be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 11:30am ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard has taken over the Eagles backfield but will face a tough challenge in Week 6. With the Eagles on the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings, Howard will be a solid RB2, but with limited upside thanks to the Vikings Defense. Howard has five touchdowns in his last three games and is always a threat to run in a short-yardage score, but his lack of chunk gains and receiving upside still leave him somewhat touchdown-dependent.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 3:13pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard is trending toward getting the bulk of the carries in the backfield, according to comments made by head coach Doug Pederson. 'I think as we go, Jordan has been kind of the lead back the last couple of games, for sure. ... I think moving forward it's kind of going that way. I can't sit here and say that if Miles (Sanders) has the hot hand one day that (Howard) gets more touches, but that's kind of the trend,' Pederson said.

Fantasy Spin: Howard has amassed 177 total yards and four touchdowns on 31 touches over the last two games, while Sanders has been accumulated 126 yards and no scores on his 24 touches. The latter has significantly more upside but has struggled to commit to hitting the hole despite flashing in a big way as a receiver. Howard has a difficult matchup coming up in Week 6 versus the Minnesota Vikings, but he'll be in the running for low-end RB2 production in that one if he can push for 15 touches again.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 8:43pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard posted 62 rushing yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in Week 5 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Spin: It wasn't a giant fantasy performance, but he has been consistent. He has at least 11 carries with a total of four rushing touchdowns and one receiving score over the past three outings. As such, Howard is a decent low-end RB2 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 6 at Minnesota.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 5:20pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard led the Eagles backfield again in Week 5 and seems to have taken over as the head of the running back committee. Howard ran the ball 13 times, gaining 62 yards and scoring a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Howard and rookie Miles Sanders actually tied with 13 touches, but Howard was more heavily involved on the ground. He'll be near the RB2 map going forward if he maintains his hold on the committee.

From RotoBaller

Oct 2 12:50pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard is a decent fantasy running back option for Week 5. Howard just scored three touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers and while he may not find the end zone three times again against the New York Jets in Week 5, he should at least get a few chances to run it in. With the Eagles shaping up as 13.5-point favorites, the running game could see a lot of play in the second half. Howard seems to have passed rookie Miles Sanders on the depth chart, but game flow could have played a role in that last week. Howard is a back-end RB2 with big upside in Week 5.

From RotoBaller

Sep 28 8:20pm ET

Eagles' RB Jordan Howard scored an impressive 32.50 fantasy points in Thursday's Week 4 win in Green Bay. Howard ran for 87 yards and caught three passes for 28 yards with three touchdowns. It's the 1st time this season Howard scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Sep 27 12:33am ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard ran 15 times for 87 yards and two TDs against the Green Bay Packers in Week 4. He also caught three passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Spin: Green Bay had no answers for Philly's running game, which came in averaging just 3.6 yards per carry, and Howard seemed to be into the secondary before he was getting contacted on many plays. Long a minus as a receiver, Howard was also the only Eagles RB to catch a pass, including a 20-yard TD. Despite his big night, Howard's continued timeshare with Miles Sanders limits his overall upside.

From TheHuddle

Sep 27 12:10am ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard found the end zone three times on Thursday night. He ran the ball 15 times for 87 yards and two touchdowns, adding three catches for 28 more yards and another touchdown. Howard significantly outplayed Miles Sanders and may end up getting more run going forward. He ran the ball in from one yard out and from two yards out, and his receiving touchdown came on a 20-yard catch and run. Howard will end up as an RB1 this week, but should be more of an RB2/3 most weeks, albeit with plenty of touchdown upside.
