Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane believes that quarterback Josh Allen needs to improve his decision-making the most heading into his second season in the NFL. "Josh is a very confident young man who believes he can make any throw, and in Year 1 that may have been to his detriment," Beane said. Allen has upside for his legs -- he led the team with 631 rushing yards in his rookie season -- but he must also improve his accuracy as a passer. Allen has better weapons around him and should improve in his sophomore campaign, but he's nothing more than a QB2 with upside as a poor man's Cam Newton.

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie defensive end Josh Allen (knee), who missed most of organized team activities with a knee bruise, is unlikely to take part in minicamp next week, according to head coach Doug Marrone. Ill probably just as safety hold him until hes ready for camp, Marrone said. Technically he could be ready to go next week. Left tackle Cam Robinson (knee), who missed 14 games last year with a torn ACL, is also unlikely to take part in minicamp. Allen was the No. 7 overall pick to the Jags, and he should make some noise on Jacksonville's talented defensive line in his rookie season. He should be good to go for training camp this summer.

Jun 6 2:03pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars DE Josh Allen (knee) likely will miss the team's minicamp next week with a knee bruise, it was reported Thursday, June 6.

May 28 7:33pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen has been impressing offensive coordinator Brian Daboll in organized team activities (OTAs) and has even been allowed to call plays at times. 'There's been a series in there where I said, 'Hey, you got it, bro. Take it, call it. Go no-huddle and you call it on your own,'' Daboll said Tuesday, May 28.

Fantasy Spin: Allen started 11 games as a rookie in 2018, going 5-6 with 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The Bills upgraded their receiving corps this offseason with the additions of free agents Cole Beasley (Cowboys) and John Brown (Ravens). Allen isn't yet in the QB1 mix, but he's worthy of strong consideration as a high-upside QB2 heading into his sophomore season.

May 23 3:30pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Josh Allen (knee), who signed his four-year rookie deal on Thursday, is out of organized team activities on Thursday with a knee contusion and will work on the side with the training staff. He won't practice on Friday either, but head coach Doug Marrone said the knee isn't expected to be a big problem moving forward. The No. 7 overall pick suffered the bruised right knee in practice on Tuesday and is being held out as a precaution. Allen is a long, athletic edge rusher that should immediately boost Jacksonville's pass rush in 2019.

Apr 25 9:20pm ET

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Kentucky edge rusher Josh Allen with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. Allen was considered the best edge rusher in this draft, so the Jags could have a very nice steal on their hands with this pick. He had 17 sacks in his final season in college and can bring pressure from the inside and the outside. Allen can be elite in the NFL and will give Jacksonville a very potent pass rush overall.

Apr 25 9:00pm ET

The Oakland Raiders selected Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. Ferrell clearly has first-round talent, and he's a traditional 3-4 defensive end that should fit well in Oakland's defensive system. Some thought that Josh Allen was the best pure edge rusher in this draft, but Ferrell isn't that far behind. Oakland had a big need at pass rusher after trading Khalil Mack for a first-round pick before last season. Ferrell should help the Raiders be more effective sacking the opposing QB this year.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) said earlier this week that his elbow injury is in the past, and he is having 'no problems at all.' He met with physical therapists for the first couple of weeks of the offseason, but was fine and has been throwing ever since.

Fantasy Spin: The Bills look to be an improved offense heading into 2019, but they still have work to do in the passing game. Allen should be considered as a low-end No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams until further notice.

Mar 14 2:50pm ET

The Buffalo Bills signed free-agent center Mitch Morse to a four-year deal worth $44.5 million. The deal includes $26.5 million guaranteed and he'll receive $19.5 million in 2019 and $28.375 million by Year 2. Morse's $11.125 million average per year is the new bar for centers. The addition of Morse is mainly good news for quarterback Josh Allen, who will be entering his second season in the NFL.

Jan 4 1:43pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen led his team with 2,074 passing yards and 631 rushing yards in 2018, becoming only the fourth quarterback since 2000 to lead his team in both categories.

Jan 1 1:00pm ET

Bills' QB Josh Allen scored an impressive 43.70 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 17 win against the Dolphins. Allen threw for 224 yards on 17-of-26 with three touchdowns and one interception including a pick-6 .

Dec 30 6:40pm ET

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed 17 of 26 passes for 224 yards to go along with a season-high three touchdowns and one interception in Week 17's victory over the Dolphins. The rookie also added 95 rushing yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. The five touchdowns and his passer rating of 114.1 were a career high. Meanwhile, his completion percentage (65.4), yards per attempt (8.64) and yards from scrimmage (319) are his second highest of the year. Allen will be the team's No. 1 quarterback next season and probably start the season as a QB2 in fantasy. The 22-year-old finished the campaign with 2,074 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions through the air, along with 89 carries for 631 yards and eight touchdowns. Allen set the Bills' franchise record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a season, and his eight rushing touchdowns are the second-most by a quarterback in the Super Bowl era.

Dec 30 5:03pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen completed 17-of-26 passes for 224 yards, three touchdowns and an interceptions in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins and he rushed for 95 yards and a pair of scores.

Fantasy Spin: Allen missed a handful of games due to an elbow injury, but he came back strong on Nov. 25 and finished with a career-high five total touchdowns, including his first three-TD passing game. He appears to be a nice long-term keeper who could take another step forward for fantasy owners in 2019, especially if the team can get some better receivers in the offseason.

Dec 24 11:00am ET

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed 20 of 41 pass attempts for 217 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. The rookie added 30 rushing yards on five carries. It marked the fourth straight game that he has passed for 200 or more yards. He set career-high marks in completions and pass attempts. The 22-year-old was incredibly inaccurate in this one, especially when the contest was in the balance and the Patriots did not give him much room to run. Allen's touchdown toss to Zay Jones came late in the game with the Bills down 24-6. The University of Wyoming product, who has now thrown multiple picks in three of the last four outings, will look to bounce back in Week 17 against the Dolphins. Allen had his best game of the campaign in Miami (Dec. 2) as he rolled up a season-best 366 total yards with 135 of those yards coming on the ground while also tossing two touchdowns. With the Dolphins defense allowing at least 27 points in their last four road games, consider Allen a QB2.

Dec 23 5:23pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen went 20-for-41 for 217 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against the New England Patriots in Week 16. He also rushed for 30 yards on five carries.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has thrown for at least 200 yards in each of the last four games but also has six interceptions during that span. He will continue to have some fantasy value because of his running ability but should not be a starting option next week.

Dec 20 11:13pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen 'looks like a different player' the last few games, according to head coach Sean McDermott. 'The way the game is slowing down for him is encouraging,' McDermott said.

Fantasy Spin: Allen's passing stats don't show a lot of growth, but he has legitimate QB1 upside because of his running ability. He has had at least 99 rushing yards in three of the last four games, adding three rushing touchdowns in that span. Consider him a high-risk, high-reward option against the New England Patriots in Week 16.
