Oct 20 5:03pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was back in Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals, and he finished with 18 runs for 72 yards and a touchdown while adding three grabs for eight yards on five targets.

Fantasy Spin: The Giants weren't careful with him despite rainy and slippery conditions, so that's a good thing they were so confident his injury is healed. He is back to RB1 status heading into Detroit in Week 8.

From TheHuddle

Oct 20 4:30pm ET

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley returned to action in Sunday's loss after missing three games with a sprained ankle. He rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries while recording eight yards on three catches. It was a rainy game with an incredibly slick field, and Barkley had his injured ankle checked out twice, so the Giants are frankly lucky that he came out of this game healthy. Given the conditions, it's hard to judge just how fully healed Barkley is but he's clearly still going to be a major asset in the Giants offense and is back to being a must-start.

From RotoBaller

Oct 20 3:50pm ET

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Evan Engram are both back after earlier injury scares. Barkley exited twice to have his ankle looked at while Engram was evaluated for a head/neck injury. Both injuries seemed to scare beat writers, but now both players are back on the field. The rain is creating a lot of chaos in this one.

From RotoBaller

Oct 18 3:13pm ET

Updating a previous report, New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 18, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Barkley should receive plenty of touches in the offense this week and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues even though he is returning to the lineup sooner than expected.

From TheHuddle

Oct 18 1:10pm ET

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Evan Engram have been cleared for Sunday's contest against the Cardinals and appear to be set to return to their full workloads. Both should immediately be inserted back into lineups with elite matchups against an over-matched Cardinals Defense. Engram's return does knock Golden Tate's value a bit for this week, and Barkley's return means Daniel Jones will be asked to throw the ball much less; however, this is great news overall for the Giants offense and perhaps the defense as well since the Giants will be able to sustain drives and give their defense a rest.

From RotoBaller

Oct 18 12:53pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) does not appear on the team's Week 7 injury report and is expected to play Sunday, Oct. 20, against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Spin: An early Christmas for Barkley's fantasy owners as the stud RB missed only three full games with his ankle injury and is now free to fire back up as an RB1.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 3:53pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 17.

Fantasy Spin: Barkley will be rejoining the lineup sooner than most expected and should see plenty of touches this week. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 3:23pm ET

New York Giants CB Corey Ballentine (concussion) was unable to practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Oct. 17. WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was limited for a second straight day. RB Wayne Gallman (concussion), DL Olsen Pierre (concussion), RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and TE Evan Engram (knee) were full participants.

From TheHuddle

Oct 16 1:33pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Fantasy Spin: Barkley looks like he could be ready to return against the Arizona Cardinals. Barkley is a must-start if he plays, but temper expectations a bit because he has made an other-worldly recovery from a high ankle sprain.

From TheHuddle

Oct 16 1:00pm ET

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and tight end Evan Engram (knee) were both full participants in practice on Wednesday. Barkley and Engram are both on track to return for a mouthwatering Week 7 matchup against the Cardinals. Barkley's owners have to be ecstatic that he will wind up missing just two games after suffering a mild high right ankle sprain. Barkley and Engram will be high-end fantasy options at their respective positions this weekend. The Cardinals allow the most fantasy points per game to the tight end position. The return of both players should also boost rookie quarterback Daniel Jones' appeal as a QB streamer.

From RotoBaller

Oct 14 11:43am ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) took part in individual drills during the light practice Monday, Oct. 14.

Fantasy Spin: Barkley has a chance to return against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7. He'd be a must-start if he goes.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 2:23pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) could return in Week 7, head coach Pat Shurmur said Friday, Oct. 11. 'We'll see,' Shurmur said. 'He's made good progress. He was out there running around (Friday). We'll see what the week brings.'

Fantasy Spin: Whether Barkley returns in Week 7 or 8, he'll still be far ahead of the initial timetable after going down in Week 3.

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 7:13pm ET

The New York Giants have declared RB Saquon Barkley, WR Sterling Shepard, TE Evan Engram, RB Wayne Gallman, G Chad Slade, OT Eric Smith and LB Tae Davis inactive for Week 6.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 2:13pm ET

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (knee), RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) and WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 9, and have been ruled out for Week 6. RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was limited during practice but has been ruled out. LB Lorenzo Carter (neck) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. LB Alec Ogletree (hamstring), OT Nate Solder (ankle), LB Josiah Tauaefa (knee) and LB Tae Davis (concussion) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 1:30pm ET

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 6 against the Patriots on Thursday night. Barkley is getting very close and could very well return in Week 7 in an excellent matchup against the Cardinals. With Wayne Gallman (concussion) also ruled out for Thursday, it'll be a combination of rookie Jonathan Hilliman and Elijhaa Penny in the backfield behind rookie signal-caller Daniel Jones. Hilliman should only be considered by the most desperate fantasy owners in the deepest of leagues against New England's stout defense. The Patriots still haven't allowed a rushing or receiving touchdown to a running back this year.

From RotoBaller

Oct 9 1:13pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was ruled out for Week 6.

Fantasy Spin: Wayne Gallman (concussion) is out as well, and fantasy owners will have to resort to the lottery tickets that Elijhaa Penny or Jonathan Hillman would be. The Giants are playing the New England Patriots and don't figure to be in the game long enough to run the ball. Avoid the situation altogether unless you're banking on a cheap DFS flyer.

From TheHuddle

Oct 8 5:43pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) and WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) did not practice for a second straight day Tuesday, Oct. 8. TE Evan Engram (knee), RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and Lorenzo Carter (neck) were limited. LB Alec Ogletree (hamstring), OT Nate Solder (ankle), LB Josiah Tauaefa (knee) and LB Tae Davis (concussion) fully participated in practice Tuesday.

From TheHuddle

Oct 8 9:13am ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) is unlikely to return Thursday, Oct. 10, to play in Week 6, according to sources.

Fantasy Spin: The doctors aren't expected to clear him just over two weeks from a high ankle sprain, but he'll have 10 more days before the Week 7 contest against the Arizona Cardinals. If everything continues to progress, he should be back for that game. Wayne Gallman is a risky flex option against the New England Patriots this week.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 7:33pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) has a chance to play in the team's Week 6 game, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.

Fantasy Spin: Barkley has missed two games because of the injury, but he was expected to miss more time because of the severity of the injury. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Barkley can play this week. He will be a risky option if he is active but would still be a starting option.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 5:33pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was limited during practice Monday, Oct. 7.

Fantasy Spin: Barkley was expected to miss multiple weeks because of the injury, but it seems he has a chance to play this week. He is a must-start option when he plays, but fantasy players may want to lower their expectations if he plays.
