New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu (ankle) is reportedly dealing with a high ankle sprain that could sideline him for two, maybe three weeks. Though he's currently listed as questionable for Week 12, fantasy owners should expect him to be out for Week 12 and likely Week 13 as well. While Sanu is gone, Julian Edelman should see a minor boost in targets. Phillip Dorsett (concussion) could benefit from Sanu's absence, though he is currently questionable for Week 12 while going through concussion protocol. N'Keal Harry also stands to benefit and is worth a speculative add if you have an open roster spot in leagues of 12 teams or deeper.

From RotoBaller

Nov 21 10:43am ET

New England Patriots WR Mohamed Sanu (ankle) suffered what might be a high ankle sprain during a punt return last week, and he could miss a couple of weeks.

Fantasy Spin: Julian Edelman (shoulder) and Phillip Dorsett (concussion) are also banged up, and N'Keal Harry could have a chance to shine against the Dallas Cowboys this week. He's a sneaky flex option.

From TheHuddle

Nov 20 4:53pm ET

New England Patriots WR Mohamed Sanu (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Fantasy Spin: Sanu had a monster game in Week 9 while catching 10 of 14 targets for 81 yards and his first touchdown with the team, but he took a big step last week with just two catches for four yards. He's a risky flex option only to be considered in deeper leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 20 3:40pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu (ankle) is missing from practice on Wednesday. His ankle injury might explain why he was extra quiet in the Week 11 win over the Eagles after being targeted heavily before the team's Week 10 bye. The matchup in Week 12 against Dallas isn't any easy one either, so Sanu will be a boom/bust WR3 if he suits up. Keep a close eye on his practice status the rest of the week. If he's forced to sit out, it'll be a boost for Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett and rookie N'Keal Harry in the passing game.

From RotoBaller

Nov 18 3:23am ET

New England Patriots WR Mohamed Sanu hauled in two of his four targets for four yards and added an eight-yard run on his only rushing attempt in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Spin: It's definitely not what fantasy owners were looking for after he posted a 10-81-1 line in his last game before the team's Week 10 bye. Then again, New England's offense wasn't exactly clicking on all cylinders against an inspired Eagles' defense. Sanu should be considered a low-end WR3 or WR4 option in Week 12 versus the Dallas Cowboys.

From TheHuddle

Nov 17 8:40pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was a complete non-factor in Week 11 against the Eagles. He was targeted four times in the game and managed just two catches for four yards. It's an extremely disappointing performance for Sanu, especially considering he was targeted 14 times in the team's previous game and wound up with 10 catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. The Patriots struggled all around offensively in Week 11 and Sanu suffered because of this. He'll look to bounce back against the Cowboys in Week 12.

From RotoBaller

Nov 14 1:40am ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu will look to build off his excellent performance in Week 9 when the Patriots take on the Eagles in Week 11. In his second game with his new team, Sanu caught 10 passes for 81 yards and one touchdown. The veteran now will face an Eagles Defense that is allowing the eighth most fantasy points to receivers this season. Sanu actually caught four passes for 16 yards against the Eagles in Week 2 but he played for the Falcons at the time. The Eagles secondary has allowed seven 100-yard receiving games to receivers this season, a number Sanu could conceivably achieve in Week 11. Sanu will carry WR2/3 value into Sunday's matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 4 1:23am ET

New England Patriots WR Mohamed Sanu had 10 receptions, 81 yards and a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Nov. 3.

Fantasy Spin: After a quiet debut against the Browns, Sanu was a focal point of the passing attack along with Julian Edelman. Sanu's 14 targets led the team, and he scored their only receiving TD. He's always been more of a chain mover than a big-play threat, but if he continues to get tons of looks he'll have legitimate value going forward, particularly in PPR leagues. One caveat to consider, however, is that we still don't know what the Pats passing game will look like with N'Keal Harry, who could be active in Week 11 against the Eagles.

From TheHuddle

Nov 4 12:10am ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu caught 10 passes for 81 yards and one touchdown as the Patriots took the loss in Week 9 to the Ravens 37-20. Sanu looked much more comfortable in his second game with the team, seeing 14 targets and making plays all over the field. The veteran receiver scored in the second quarter for his second touchdown of the season. If this is a taste of things to come for Sanu catching passes from quarterback Tom Brady, then his fantasy stock will skyrocket over the next few weeks.

From RotoBaller

Nov 1 4:30pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu will head into Week 9 with a full week of practice under his belt with his new team. The veteran hauled in two passes last week in his debut and the hope is that Sanu can expand upon that against the Ravens. Baltimore's defense is allowing the 13th most fantasy points to receivers, including surrendering eight or more fantasy points to 12 different receivers. Sanu is expected to become an important part of the Patriots passing game but will be a risky play in Week 9 as he continues to get acclimated.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 7:50pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu made his Patriots debut in Week 8, catching two passes for 23 yards. The newly acquired receiver struggled to connect with quarterback Tom Brady on some early targets but picked up two receptions in the second half. It may take some time for the veteran to get acclimated with the offense but should develop into an intriguing threat from the slot position. Sanu is worth a fantasy roster spot as he projects to produce at some point this season but will be a gamble as a starter heading into Week 9.

From RotoBaller

Oct 22 3:20pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu will make his Patriots debut in Week 8 against a Browns Defense that is allowing the 14th fewest fantasy points to receivers. Sanu was acquired via trade from the Falcons and immediately brings size and physicality to a banged up wide receiving group in New England. Sanu caught 66 passes last season for 838 yards and four touchdowns but has been held to only 313 yards with one touchdown this season. Sanu is an excellent addition as a player that can bring the kind of size in the red zone that the Patriots have been lacking due to a banged up Josh Gordon and Rob Gronkowski's retirement in the preseason. Sanu should be thrown right into the mix against a Browns defense that has allowed 10-plus fantasy points to eight different receivers this season. He may lack the amount of targets, however, to garner anything higher than a WR4 play in Week 8.

From RotoBaller

Oct 22 8:43am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu was acquired by the New England Patriots Tuesday, Oct. 22, in exchange for a second-round pick. The Patriots previously tried to acquire Sanu during the NFL draft.

Fantasy Spin: Sanu has been quiet with a 33-313-1 line in seven games this season, but he is a good possession receiver whose value in PPR leagues increases a bit. He should be rostered in all formats, but give him a week or two to get acclimated before you can expect results in your flex spot.

From TheHuddle

Oct 20 7:43pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu posted just one catch for three yards on two targets in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Spin: Sanu was a bummer for fantasy owners using him as a low-end WR4 in PPR leagues. He takes a bigger hit, too, if Matt Ryan (ankle) cannot go in Week 8. It might be best to avoid him across the board against the Seattle Seahawks.

From TheHuddle

Oct 20 4:50pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was a no-show in Week 7, catching his only target in the game for three yards. It was a rough offensive day overall for the Falcons offense as they were held under 300 air yards for the first time this season. Quarterback Matt Ryan (ankle) left the game in the fourth quarter and the team also lost their starting running back Devonta Freeman to an ejection in the third quarter. Sanu has had two straight very subpar games now and it would probably be wise to look in another direction for a starter in Week 8.

From RotoBaller

Oct 17 3:20pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu has turned in solid outings in three of his past four games. He's been receiving about as many targets as Calvin Ridley, but Ridley has been getting the deeper targets and has four touchdowns on the year compared with Sanu's one. Julio Jones is the team's clear number one receiver and tight end Austin Hooper has been a target monster all year, making things a little cloudy for Sanu. However, the Falcons' passing game is so strong and Matt Ryan is throwing the ball so much that Sanu can manage some production even as the fourth wheel in the attack. He's a better option in PPR leagues than non-PPR as he's averaging over five receptions per game. Expect him to catch about five passes in Week 7 against the Rams, which should enable him to total around 60 or 70 yards on the day.

From RotoBaller

Oct 14 3:03am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu caught three of his four targets for 29 scoreless yards in Week 6 versus the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Spin: Sanu had established himself a nice fantasy WR3 floor over the previous three weeks, so owners counting on him for another five or six catches and about 60 yards came away disappointed. Making matters worse is Matt Ryan threw for 356 yards. Nevertheless, Sanu makes for a decent floor play in the flex in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams.

From TheHuddle

Oct 13 8:10pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was due for a down game after three straight solid weeks. Quarterback Matt Ryan relied heavily on tight end Austin Hooper and Julio Jones in Week 6, with the two combining for 225 yards. Sanu was fourth on the team in targets in Week 6, with four, and he caught three of them for a total of just 29 yards. It was his first game of the year with fewer than four receptions and it was his first game since Week 2 to go without either a touchdown or 70-plus yards. He's worth owning in leagues of 12 or more teams but shouldn't be relied upon to be as consistent as he'd been the past three weeks.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 10:50am ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu has been exceptional over the past three weeks, totaling 20 receptions, 208 yards and a touchdown. This week, he has a good opportunity to stay hot as the Falcons face a Cardinals Defense allowing over 400 yards and about 28 points per game. The Falcons have a lot of mouths to feed in the passing game, so it's hard to expect consistency like this throughout the season from Sanu, but he should have a good chance to catch four or five passes, rack up about 60 to 70 yards and potentially score.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 2:33am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu caught all five of his targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 versus the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Spin: Just how bad are things in Atlanta at the moment? Sanu (29) has more catches than Julio Jones (26) and Calvin Ridley (21) and ranks second among the group with 36 targets. Much like teammate Austin Hooper, Sanu is taking advantage of garbage time, although his TD catch-and-run opened the scoring in this contest. The Falcons' primary slot receiver is generally a high-floor, low-upside fantasy option; he should remain that in a soft matchup in Week 6 against the burnable secondary of the Arizona Cardinals.
