San Francisco 49ers DT D.J. Jones (hamstring), FB Kyle Juszczyk (knee), OT Mike McGlinchey (knee), RB Raheem Mostert (knee), OT Joe Staley (fibula) and CB Ahkello Witherspoon (foot) didn't practice Thursday, Oct. 17. DE Dee Ford (quad) and CB K'Waun Williams (hand) were limited.

Oct 16 7:23pm ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Fantasy Spin: Mostert's status for Week 7 is uncertain, so fantasy players can monitor the situation. He has rushed for only 47 yards over the last two games and continues to be part of a committee at running backs, so players may want to look for other options.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 11:10am ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert enters Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams as just a deep flex option. With the return of Tevin Coleman in Week 5, Mostert took a clear back seat in the Niners running scheme, gaining most of his 34 yards in garbage time. Mostert continues rotating in during the game, but his presence was mostly notable on passing plays. Unless he becomes a larger mix in the aerial attack, Mostert possesses a risky floor. Expected to handle 5-7 touches per game, Mostert needs to make a big play to return respectable fantasy value.

Oct 8 1:40am ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert tallied 34 yards on seven carries in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns. With Tevin Coleman fully healthy and Matt Breida running amok, Mostert played third wheel, getting most of his touches in garbage time. Mostert was in on snaps throughout the game, but his role was clearly marginalized relative to Coleman or Breida. Hell likely garner 5-7 opportunities a game, but Mosterts fantasy appeal is currently limited to a handcuff or desperation flex in deeper leagues.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 12:10pm ET

The biggest loser from the likely return of San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman (ankle) is Jeffrey Wilson. Promoted from the practice squad in Week 2, Wilson has worked as the primary goal-line back, punching in four touchdowns on just 18 totes. With Coleman back in the mix with Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert, Wilson is a possible inactive in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns. Wilson has been great with his opportunities but may be the odd man out. Hes not a recommended start if Coleman plays, but he will revert to his touchdown-dependent flex status if Coleman isnt ready to go.

From RotoBaller

Oct 3 9:40pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert could be relegated to relief duties in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns. With the impending return of Tevin Coleman (ankle), Mosterts near-even timeshare with Matt Breida could be coming to an end. The fourth-year pro has been impressive, amassing 270 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 38 touches but may become a third wheel. Even with Mosterts big-play abilities and the Browns middling rush defense, Mostert is a shaky play on Monday night. If Coleman starts, Mostert will be a desperation flex who could get 5-7 touches. Without Coleman, hell be an RB3.

Sep 22 11:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert rushed 12 times for 79 yards in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mostert committed a costly fumble in the red zone but continued his strong running, leading the team in rushing on Sunday. After cradling three catches in Week 2, Mostert did not record a reception. The fourth-year back has been a tremendous offensive spark plug, but his role is uncertain as Tevin Coleman (ankle) nears a return. With the Niners ground game rolling, Coleman may be eased back into the mix, making Mostert a likely RB3/flex once the team returns from its bye in Week 4.

From RotoBaller

Sep 18 4:30pm ET

Given an opportunity in Week 2, San Francisco running back Raheem Mostert broke out with 151 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. The fourth-year special teams veteran played well in limited opportunities last season (34 carries, 7.7 YPC) and should continue co-chairing the backfield with Matt Breida in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the Steelers rush defense is no slouch, the Niners offensive line grades as fifth best in the run game through two contests. Both Mostert and Breida rank top-15 in rushing DVOA and success rate. Mosterts also showed his receiving chops with 10 grabs on 12 targets. Slated for a near-even split with Breida and clocking as one of footballs fastest players, Mostert is an upside RB3/flex with a steady floor.

From RotoBaller

Sep 17 1:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Joe Staley (leg) suffered a broken left fibula in Week 2. Hes expected to miss six to eight weeks. The 35-year-old Staley is a lynchpin for the Niners strong offensive line and his absence could impair the teams running game, which annihilated the Cincinnati Bengals for 259 rushing yards last Sunday. Sixth-round rookie Justin Skule is expected to receive the start at left tackle in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Staleys injury impact may be far-reaching, running backs Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert still make for appealing RB2 and RB3/flex plays, respectively.

From RotoBaller

Sep 16 1:13am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert carried 13 times for 83 yards and added three receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Spin: Owners saw shades of this last season before an elbow injury ultimately ruined his year. While it was clear Matt Breida was the featured back in this one, Mostert contributed early on a 39-yard screen in the first quarter. Life will not always be this good moving forward for Mostert, but he should be considered flex-worthy for as long as Tevin Coleman remains sidelined. That includes Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

From TheHuddle

Sep 15 5:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert rushed 13 times for 83 yards and caught three of four targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Mostert was everywhere on Sunday and was rewarded with an early 39-yard screen pass for his score. The Niners obliterated the Bengals on the ground, rushing for 259 yards in the blowout win. Mostert and backfield mate Matt Breida (132 yards) both succeeded in the Niners rushing committee despite ceding two rushing touchdowns to third-stringerJeffery Wilson, so itll be a similar split going forward. Slated for weekly double-digit touches, Mostert is a solid flex option in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

From RotoBaller

Sep 11 2:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert is in-line for a sizeable workload in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. With the injury to Tevin Coleman (ankle), the Niners will pivot to Matt Breida and Mostert to man their systematic running back committee. The fourth-year special teams lifer averaged an impressive 7.7 YPC last season (261 total rush yards) before suffering a broken forearm. He led the team with 40 rush yards in Week 1. While the Niners will likely promote running back Jeffery Wilson from the practice squad, Mostert should handle 8-12 touches as the first mate to Breida. With a decent floor but low ceiling, dial up Mostert as a low-end flex on Sunday against the Bengals.

From RotoBaller

Sep 8 8:10pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert tallied 40 yards on nine carries in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, adding a catch for zero yards. Mostert was the main beneficiary of Tevin Colemans (ankle) injury, leading the backfield in yards. The Niners employ a systematic committee at running back so an extended absence for Coleman would mean regular touches for Mostert. While Matt Breida will retain majority share of touches, Mostert is worth a flier claim. Hell carry some flex appeal If Coleman cant go in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Aug 26 2:33am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (quadriceps) might return to practice this week, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Sunday, Aug. 25.

From TheHuddle

Aug 24 9:13pm ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (quadriceps) sat out the preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, Aug. 24, with a minor quadriceps injury.

From TheHuddle

Aug 20 11:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert tallied 58 yards and a touchdown on six carries along with two catches for 42 yards in Mondays preseason game against the Denver Broncos. Mostert was the most effective offensive player on the field and further made his case for a roster spot. As a special teams lifer, the fourth-year player got his first real opportunity in 2018, averaging 7.7 yards per carry on 34 attempts before suffering a season-ending forearm injury. With Jerick McKinnon (knee) experiencing a setback recovering from a torn ACL, Mostert will likely start the year backing up Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida. Its conceivable Mostert will receive a handful of touches per game, but hes not currently a fantasy option.

From RotoBaller

Aug 20 12:33am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert rushed six times for 58 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 42 yards in a 24-15 preseason win over the Denver Broncos Monday, Aug. 19.

From TheHuddle

Aug 11 8:13pm ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (concussion) is in concussion protocol, the team announced Sunday, Aug. 11.

From TheHuddle

Aug 10 10:03pm ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (concussion) exited the preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys and is being evaluated for a concussion Saturday, Aug. 10.

From TheHuddle

Jun 24 2:03am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert is expected to be one of three running backs active during the regular season since he is the team's best special-teams player.

Fantasy Spin: Mostert has shown in the past that he can be effective running the ball, but that's unlikely to be his role in 2019 with the likes of Tevin Coleman, Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida creating a logjam in the backfield. He has minimal fantasy appeal as long as everyone is healthy and ready to play.
