Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill will likely be playing without two of his top options in Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Tight end Delanie Walker (ankle) has already been ruled out and wide receiver Corey Davis (hip) is doubtful, leaving Tannehill short-handed against the high-powered Chiefs offense. Despite a likely favorable game script for Tannehill to air it out, he is not a recommended streaming option this week due to the lack of available playmakers in the passing game.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed 27 of 39 passes for 331 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the team's Week 9 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Tannehill also had his most productive game of the season on the ground, carrying the ball four times for 38 yards and a touchdown. While nearly everything that could've gone wrong for the Titans did, Tannehill still provided solid fantasy production for the third straight week. Tannehill will be a solid streaming option next week against the Kansas City Chiefs, who will likely force the Titans offense to be more aggressive.
Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill completed 27-of-39 passes for 331 yards, one touchdown and two passes in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers and he also ran for 38 yards and a score.
Fantasy Spin: Since changing to the former Dolphins signal caller, the Titans offense has been a little better. However, he remains more of a QB2 in most fantasy leagues. The Titans host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been productive in his first two starts for the team, totaling 649 passing yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions. Despite solid production out of Tannehill so far, he is not a recommended streaming option in Week 9. Tannehill and the Titans are set to play at the Carolina Panthers, who are a big step up from the previous two matchups with the Los Angeles Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Panthers are currently second in the league in sacks with 30, and the Titans will be missing center Ben Jones and tight end Delanie Walker. This will make for a likely long day for Tannehill and the Titans passing game, making him a player to avoid in Week 9.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed 21 of 33 attempts for 193 yards and three touchdowns in the team's 27-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8. Tannehill once again looked sharp for the most part in his second straight start, completing passes to nine different Titans players. While the offense isn't necessarily setting the world ablaze, Tannehill has injected a much-needed sense of confidence in the Titans, who are now coming off of back-to-back wins. Tannehill will be a middling QB2 for the foreseeable future, making him a solid bye week fill-in option.
Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill went 21-for-33 for 193 yards and three touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8.
Fantasy Spin: Tannehill has played well since taking over the starting job with five touchdowns and one interception in two games. He will be facing a solid Carolina Panthers defense next week and may only be a starting option in two quarterback leagues.
Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8, and the Buccaneers are allowing a league-high 304.5 passing yards per game this season.
Fantasy Spin: Tannehill topped 300 yards in Week 7 in his first start for the Titans, and with a friendly matchup on tap, he could be a useful streaming option.
Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill completed 23 of his 29 passes for 312 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in a 23-20 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7.
Fantasy Spin: Tannehill was solid in his first start for the Titans, and he could be a sneaky streaming option against Tampa Bay in Week 8.
Tennessee's QB Ryan Tannehill passed for 312 yards on 23-of-29 with two touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Chargers.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is slated for his first start of the 2019 season as the Los Angeles Chargers travel to Nashville in Week 7. Tannehill completed 13 of 16 passes for 144 yards and an interception last week following the benching of quarterback Marcus Mariota in the third quarter. Although the offense wasn't able to score any points with Tannehill under center, they were able to move the ball downfield much more effectively. It is yet to be seen how the offense will look with a full game of Tannehill under center, but for the time being both Tannehill and his weapons in the passing game are better left on the fantasy bench.
Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill was informed Tuesday, Oct. 15, he'll get the Week 7 start against the Los Angeles Chargers, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
Fantasy Spin: Tannehill becomes nothing more than a low-end QB2 even in an adequate matchup. He can be scooped up in deeper two-quarterback leagues, but he shouldn't be started this week unless there are no other available options.
Tennessee Titans QBs Marcus Mariota and Ryan Tannehill are expected to find out Monday, Oct. 14, who will start in Week 7 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. Head coach Mike Vrabel announced the decision will be made sometime Monday evening.
Fantasy Spin: It's a pretty good indication Tannehill will be named the starter, as most coaches have no problem shooting down any such speculation immediately when they feel strongly about the man holding the job. Mariota was playing turnover-free ball until Week 6, but the Titans have seemingly been trying to hide him for the better part of the season - if not longer. However, it's debatable whether Tannehill will provide much of a spark to the offense, leaving him firmly in QB2 territory.
Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill completed 13-of-16 passes for 144 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos after replacing the ineffective QB Marcus Mariota.
Fantasy Spin: It's uncertain if head coach Mike Vrabel will stick with Tannehill, or go back to Marcus Mariota, but neither is a particularly attractive fantasy option at this point. The Titans host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill came into the game in the third quarter after a horrendous performance by Marcus Mariota. Tannehill didn't play outstanding, but might get the nod against the Chargers next week. He completed 13 of 16 passing attempts for 144 yards and an interception in the loss to the Denver Broncos. Whether it's Tannehill or Mariota, neither quarterback will have much fantasy value in Week 7.
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota was lifted late in the third quarter of the Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos after going 7-of-18 for 63 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. QB Ryan Tannehill entered in his place.
Fantasy Spin: The move is believed to be due to performance and not any kind of injury. Mariota and the Titans offense was disastrous in the early going.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill put together another solid outing in Week 2 of the preseason, completing 7-of-11 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. While Tannehill continues to play well, he was still operating as the clear backup quarterback to Marcus Mariota. Although Tannehill is not on the radar for redraft leagues in 2019, he remains a decent stash in superflex dynasty leagues, especially for Mariota owners.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill looked like a worthy investment in his Titans debut Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Tannehill was 12-for-16 passing for 130 yards and two touchdown strikes. The offense moved much more effectively with Tannehill under center than it did earlier in the night with starting quarterback Marcus Mariota. While there is nothing suggesting any quarterback competition in Tennessee, Tannehill is worthy of a stash in deeper dynasty formats due to the recurrent health concerns for Mariota. He is certainly a much more dependable backup option than the Titans have had in recent years.
Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will be the backup to QB Marcus Mariota, head coach Mike Vrabel said again on Sunday, July 7. He said Tannehill's job is to make Mariota better. 'His job as a backup - everybody's job as a backup - is to push the guy in front of him,' Vrabel said.
Fantasy Spin: Tannehill was obviously the starter in Miami, but he is insurance in case Mariota goes down to injury. However, you can scratch him off of your cheat sheets heading into training camp and the preseason barring a disaster in Nashville.
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota will be the team's starting quarterback in 2019, according to head coach Mike Vrabel, who added that QB Ryan Tannehill's job will be to push Mariota and make him better. 'His job as a backup - everybody's job as a backup - is to push the guy in front of him. To compete and try to make yourself better and try to make the team better and see how everybody responds,' Vrabel said.
