Player Notes
Dec 8 8:20pm ET

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson was forced back into a featured role on Sunday when Derrius Guice suffered a knee injury. Peterson's output on 20 carries wasn't especially efficient, but 76 yards and a touchdown were welcome sights to any fantasy owner who rolled him out as a hopeful flex option. The longtime workhorse remains a volume-based fantasy back, and volume may once again tilt in his favor if Guice's injury is serious enough to keep him out going forward. As such, you will want to monitor this situation in the coming days, regardless of which Redskins running back you roster.

From RotoBaller

Dec 8 4:33pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson may regain the starting job depending on Derrius Guice's injury, so fantasy players should check on the situation later in the week. Peterson can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in fantasy leagues if he receives a majority of the carries.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 5:43pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (toe) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 6, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson will continue to share playing time with Derrius Guice and is coming off one of his better games of the season. He will be facing a tougher matchup this week but can still be a flex option in deeper leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 4:33pm ET

Washington Redskins WRs Trey Quinn (concussion), WR Paul Richardson (hamstring) and S Deshazor Everett (shoulder) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 14 versus the Green Bay Packers. LB Ryan Anderson (shoulder), OT Morgan Moses (back), OG Brandon Scherff (shoulder), LB Montez Sweat (quad), LB Cole Holcomb (thumb), LB Ryan Kerrigan (concussion), S Montae Nicholson (ankle), RB Adrian Peterson (toe) and RB Chris Thompson (toe) were able to practice in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 1:50pm ET

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson continues to split backfield work with Derrius Guice, but the two of them proved together last week that they can both enjoy success in the right matchup. They'll get their second consecutive "right matchup" this week at Lambeau Field against a Packers Defense giving up the sixth-most rushing yards per game and the second-most total rushing touchdowns to opposing backs. Guice is the better boom-play here, with more potential for big-time production on middling volume. Peterson should still be in line for enough of his own share, however, and should be regarded as a flex possibility unless you are fortunate enough to be super-deep at running back.

From RotoBaller

Dec 5 5:43pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (toe) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson is probably receiving a day off and should return to practice Friday, Dec. 6. He will continue to have a role in the running game and could be a flex option in deeper standard leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 4 6:53pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (toe) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson rushed for 99 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries last week. He will continue to share playing time with Derrius Guice but could be a flex option in some standard leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 1 8:40pm ET

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson toted the ball 13 times on Sunday, racking up 99 yards and a touchdown on the way. The Week 13 performance marked the first time since Derrius Guice returned three games ago that Peterson was able to do anything of consequence with his limited work. In what has to be considered one of the crueler examples of fantasy irony in 2019, both he and Guice exploded in a favorable matchup against the Panthers after two straight games of scavenging each other's value away in a relatively even backfield split. Peterson remains the more volume-dependent of the two, as it's not going to be every week that he accumulates upwards of 100 yards on 13 carries. Still, for his fantasy owners, it's nice to see that Peterson still has what it takes to provide value under the right circumstances.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 7:33pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson rushed 13 times for 99 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Spin: Peterso and Derrius Guice shredded the Panthers, as the Redskins rumbled for 248 yards, three touchdowns and an average of 8.3 yards per attempt on the ground. The Redskins will look to keep it going in Week 14 at Green Bay. Treat All Day as a RB3 or flex fantasy option in most leagues for that one.

From TheHuddle

Nov 29 4:03pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (toe) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 29, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson has been splitting snaps with Derrius Guice over the last few weeks and probably will receive a similar workload this week. Fantasy players probably will be able to find better options to use in their lineups and can keep Peterson on the bench.

From TheHuddle

Nov 29 3:13pm ET

Washington Redskins LB Ryan Kerrigan (concussion) and WR Paul Richardson (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 13 versus the Carolina Panthers. DL Daron Payne (ankle) and RB Chris Thompson (toe) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable. S Deshazor Everett (concussion), LB Ryan Anderson (shoulder), S Montae Nicholson (ankle), RB Adrian Peterson (toe), OG Brandon Scherff (shoulder), QB Dwayne Haskins (hand), LB Cole Holcomb (thumb), DB Jimmy Moreland (shoulder), OT Morgan Moses (thumb) and CB Josh Norman (hamstring) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 29, and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Nov 28 3:53pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (toe) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 28.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson probably is receiving a day off and still has a good chance to play in the Week 13 game. He is losing touches to Derrius Guice and can be benched in fantasy leagues if fantasy players have better options available.

From TheHuddle

Nov 28 2:23pm ET

Washington Redskins LB Ryan Kerrigan (concussion), WR Paul Richardson (hamstring) and RB Adrian Peterson (toe) were held out of practice Thursday, Nov. 28. S Deshazor Everett (concussion), DL Daron Payne (ankle), OG Brandon Scherff (shoulder) and RB Chris Thompson (toe) were limited. LB Ryan Anderson (shoulder), S Montae Nicholson (ankle), QB Dwayne Haskins (hand), LB Cole Holcomb (thumb), DB Jimmy Moreland (shoulder), OT Morgan Moses (thumb) and CB Josh Norman (hamstring) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Nov 27 5:13pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (toe) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson has been held to only 52 yards over the last two games and may continue to lose touches to Derrius Gucie moving forward. He can be kept on the bench in most leagues this week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 27 5:00pm ET

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson figures to split touches with Derrius Guice again in Week 13, which naturally limits his fantasy value in an otherwise great matchup against the Panthers. Carolina is allowing nearly five yards per carry to opposing backs, and no team has permitted more rushing touchdowns. Unfortunately for his fantasy owners, Peterson is not the type of running back who can be counted on for high-end value on 10-12 touches, which is the range he finds himself in since Guice returned two weeks ago. Peterson is a risky flex play who will almost certainly need to spring a couple big gains or score a touchdown to warrant starting him in fantasy lineups.

From RotoBaller

Nov 26 9:33pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Derrius Guice led the team with 26 offensive snaps played Sunday, Nov. 24, against the Detroit Lions. Adrian Peterson played 20 offensive snaps while Wendell Smallwood played 16 snaps on offense.

Fantasy Spin: Guice rushed 10 times for just 32 yards and made one six-yard catch. He's averaging just 2.7 yards per carry including his abbreviated Week 1 outing. The overall quality of the Washington offense can take the bulk of the blame, but fantasy managers will want to see at least a few flashes from him to close the season before being able to trust him next year.

From TheHuddle

Nov 24 9:43pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson rushed 10 times for 27 yards and caught one pass for 22 yards in a 19-16 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 12.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson split carries evenly with Derrius Guice, but neither back was overly effective. With Guice's role only likely to grow, Peterson is a flex option, at best, going forward.

From TheHuddle

Nov 24 8:40pm ET

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson is no longer the volume play he was before Derrius Guice returned from injury. For the second straight week, Peterson was limited to 11 touches with minimal production in Sunday's victory over the Lions. This is the new reality of Washington's backfield, as Guice will likely continue to cut into Peterson's volume for the rest of the season. Regrettably, neither looks poised to see enough work to be categorized as a legitimately safe fantasy option. Peterson should be treated as a bench candidate with marginal replacement value in the event of injuries to other players in your fantasy lineup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 12:13pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (toe) is officially active for the team's Week 12 game.

Fantasy Spin: Peterson will be sharing playing time with Derrius Guice during the game. He could be a flex option in some deeper standard leagues but can also be benched if fantasy players have better options.

From TheHuddle

Nov 24 10:00am ET

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson (toe) is expected to play against the Lions in Week 12. Peterson saw his second-fewest rushing attempts of the year in Week 11 and played just 26 percent of the team's offensive snaps with Derrius Guice back, and there's no reason to expect that usage to change this week. Guice is the starter. Peterson is a backup who'll get a handful of touches. Peterson's not on fantasy radars in most formats this week.
