Dec 6 6:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels has a solid matchup this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. However, the second-year back hasn't been very productive of late and shouldn't be considered for your fantasy lineups in Week 14. Over the last three games without James Conner (shoulder), Samuels has just 64 yards on 14 carries, while hauling in 10 of 11 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown. Say the Steelers get behind and need to pass a lot, then maybe Samuels could have a better day, but don't get your hopes up.

Dec 1 5:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels rushed for 32 yards on seven carries, while also catching both targets for 22 yards in Sundays 20-13 win over Cleveland. The second-year back served as the wildcat quarterback, which accounted for most of his rushing attempts in Week 13. It was Benny Snell Jr. that again took on the majority of the teams rushing work and he totaled 63 yards on the ground. Looking forward to Week 14 against the Cardinals, everything can change if James Conner (shoulder) is able to return, but even if he is forced to miss again, Samuels carries no immediate fantasy value for the first round of fantasy playoffs.

From RotoBaller

Nov 30 4:00am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels will still have a role against Cleveland if James Conner (shoulder) isn't able to suit up. Though Benny Snell Jr. will serve as the workhorse, the 23-year-old should still get a few touches, while accumulating most of his stats catching passes out of the backfield. Samuels may get more looks than normal from Devlin Hodges in Week 13 with JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion/knee) out of the lineup, but his success on the fantasy front will be contingent on whether or not he can score. Nonetheless, if you are in desperate need of a running back in deep PPR leagues, Samuels is a semi-decent option who has a higher-than-average upside.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 5:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels received just two carries for six yards, while also catching three passes for 26 yards in Sunday's win over Cincinnati. As the Steelers took on a more run-first approach, the scat-back ceded the majority of the work to Benny Snell Jr. and Kerrith Whyte. This was one of Samuels' lowest outputs of the year, so it will be interesting to see how the move forward with the NC State product, especially once James Conner (shoulder) is healthy.

From RotoBaller

Nov 22 5:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels can be considered an RB3 in PPR formats for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. James Conner (shoulder) is officially not playing, so Samuels will likely share time with Trey Edmunds and rookie Benny Snell Jr. When Conner has missed time this year, Samuels has gotten plenty of touches but hasn't done much with them, scoring just his second touchdown a week ago. However, his lack of usage in the run game and short-yardage situations limits the second-year back's upside.

From RotoBaller

Nov 15 2:40am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels finished with five attempts for 26 yards in addition to five receptions for 19 yards and a touchdown against the Browns in Week 11. Samuels stepped up after James Conner was ruled out on Thursday night after re-injuring the same shoulder that kept him out over the last few weeks. Look for 23-year-old to once again be a popular waiver wire target, especially in PPR formats, heading into Week 12 against the Bengals if Conner is forced to miss another one.

From RotoBaller

Nov 12 8:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels steps away from the lead-back role with the expected return of James Conner (shoulder) in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns. Over the last two games, Samuels turned 38 touches into just 123 yards and no touchdowns, so it's clear he's not suited for four-down work in this offense. Against the Browns on Thursday, the NC State product isn't very fantasy appealing as Cleveland has allowed just 40 receptions to running backs this season, the ninth-fewest in the NFL. Since Conner is likely returning, Samuels is best left on fantasy benches in Week 11.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 8:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels rushed for 29 yards on 14 carries, while also catching three of seven targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 17-12 win over the Rams. The scat back wasn't a big factor in this one, as the Steelers offense never really got into a great sync. However, the second-year back should continue to see plenty of usage, regardless of whether James Conner (shoulder) is playing or not. If the latter is forced to miss again in Week 11, Samuels should continue to be a low-end RB2 in PPR formats.

Nov 8 5:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels will get the starting nod for a second straight week with the announcement that James Conner (knee) will miss the game against the LA Rams. Samuels was the key to the offense in Week 9's win over the Colts, catching 13 passes for 73 yards. While he rushed for just 10 yards, the second-year back is in a decent spot to have a similar game against the Rams. In PPR formats, lock him in as an RB2 or flex option and expect him to have a large role in the offense.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 4:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels rushed for just 10 yards on eight carries, while catching 13 passes for 73 yards in Sundays win over the Indianapolis Colts. Samuels was very busy in the passing game for Pittsburgh, and did a great job creating space after the catch, however he did fumble in the fourth quarter. Interestingly enough, he was out-rushed by Trey Edmunds, who totaled 71 yards on 10 carries, but Samuels proved hes worthy of a big role in the offense when he has a solidified opportunity. Unfortunately for him, his usage is directly correlated to Conners availability. If the second-year back from NC State is the starter again in Week 10, hell be another RB2 in PPR formats in a matchup against the LA Rams.

Nov 2 4:30am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels (knee) is healthy entering Week 9 after missing his previous two outings. After practicing in full over the last three days, the 23-year-old will likely take over as the No. 1 option against the Colts while James Conner (shoulder), who is doubtful, sits. Though the Colts are allowing an eighth-best 21.19 fantasy points to opposing running backs this season, Samuels will likely get his fair share of touches on Sunday and based on pure-volume alone, he should be considered a must-start in deeper leagues, especially in PPR formats as he is also a threat catching passes out of the backfield.

From RotoBaller

Oct 29 1:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels (knee) is "ready to go," in Week 9, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Samuels had to have his knee scoped after the Week 5 loss to Baltimore, and was out about a month. He was a full participant in last weeks practices, but the team held him out of the Miami contest as a precaution. This comes at a time when the team might be without James Conner (shoulder) and rookie Benny Snell Jr. (knee), who both went down in Monday night's game against the Dolphins. If Samuels is in fact the main guy in Week 9, against Indianapolis, look at him as a solid flex option in PPR leagues.

From RotoBaller

Oct 25 4:00pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels (knee) and wide receiver James Washington (shoulder) have both practiced in full the last two days and could return on Monday night against the Dolphins. Both Samuels and Washington could return to action this week. Samuels would return to his backup role behind James Conner, although he could see more work in positive game script if the Steelers are up big against Miami. Still, he'll be a risky flex in deeper leagues if he returns. Washington has just nine catches (21 targets) for 140 yards in five games and was passed on the depth chart by rookie Diontae Johnson before his injury. He'll be one to avoid in fantasy even if he returns on Monday night.

From RotoBaller

Oct 8 1:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels (knee) is expected to miss a month of action after having a procedure performed on Monday. This is not good news, especially as the team also deals with the potential lengthy-loss of quarterback Mason Rudolph (concussion) after he took as a nasty hit during the loss to the Ravens in Week 5. With Samuels out of the equation, look for James Conner to get a slight bump in usage moving ahead, while Benny Snell Jr. will surely take over as the No. 2 back against the Chargers on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Oct 6 5:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels took three carries for two yards and caught three passes for 11 yards in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. Samuels wasn't very effective in his limited work, but he was the preferred back in passing situations, as James Conner didn't have one target. Still, Samuels is a risky flex option when Conner is healthy and should just be stashed on your bench if something were to happen to Conner. The Steelers take on the Chargers in Week 6, so you can expect a similar workload.

From RotoBaller

Sep 30 11:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels received 10 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown, while also catching eight passes for 57 yards in Monday's 27-3 win over Cincinnati. After being almost non-existent in Week 3, Samuels was one of the most involved players on the offense in Week 4, including taking several direct snaps that saw him toss three shovel passes for 31 yards. This is the type of outing fantasy owners were hopeful of during the fantasy draft season, but so far we've seen major inconsistencies in his usage. In a Week 5 matchup with Baltimore, Samuels is nothing more than a desperation-flex play in PPR formats.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 6:00pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels should be nowhere near a fantasy lineup in Week 4 after playing just five offensive snaps in last Sunday's loss. He's been on the field for just 33% of the team's offensive snaps this year and has just seven touches for 37 yards to show. Acting as the handcuff to James Conner, Samuels only holds value in PPR formats for the time being, but his lack of usage is worrying. Right now, he should only be on your roster if you also own James Conner.

From RotoBaller

Sep 22 8:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels was a ghost in the team's 24-20 loss to San Francisco on Sunday. The 23-year-old was expected to take on a bigger role with James Conner suffering from a minor knee injury in last week's game against the Seahawks. However, it was the total opposite as he received just a handful of snaps, while rookie Benny Snell Jr. received three carries. Samuels' value takes a huge hit with this development but it will be interesting to see if there was something else in play here. His status as a handcuff is in jeopardy as the team take on the Bengals on Monday night in Week 4.

From RotoBaller

Sep 19 12:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels may be in line for more touches in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. The second-year back took 22 offensive snaps last week after James Conner (knee) was forced out of the contest. While it only resulted in four touches for 35 yards, Samuels was clearly the number two back, as Benny Snell Jr. logged just two snaps. While Conner is expected to suit up against the 49ers, the team may look to Samuels to handle the passing down work. However, the matchup is tough, as San Francisco hasn't allowed a touchdown to a running back on the ground or through the air yet this season. If Conner doesn't play, Samuels can be considered a low-end RB3 but if all goes as planned, the NC State product is at best a deep-league flex play in PPR formats only.

From RotoBaller

Sep 15 4:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels toted three carries for 18 yards, while catching one pass for 13 yards in Sunday's 28-26 loss to the Seahawks. James Conner (knee) went down which thrusted Samuels into action, but he didn't get as many chances as the Steelers were playing comeback in the second half. The second-year back will be a popular waiver pick if Conner is forced to miss extended time, If you're a Conner owner, it should be a top priority to pickup Samuels if he is available.
