Player Notes
Dec 8 6:33pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley caught five passes for 76 yards and a touchdown on five targets vs. the Carolina Panthers in Week 14 on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Fantasy Spin: San Francisco is hosting the Week 15 contest, and this pass defense has shown a few cracks in the arm of late (even before the Saints game). There is no reason to get away from Ridley while Julio Jones (shoulder) is banged up and Atlanta is forced to pass early and often. Treat him as a WR2 or a No. 3 option.

From TheHuddle

Dec 8 5:00pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been on fire over the past month. In Week 14, he caught all five of his targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. This was his third touchdown in his past four games. In each of those four games, he's caught at least five passes for at least 75 yards. Julio Jones led the team with eight targets in Week 14 and finished with five catches for 66 yards without a touchdown. Ridley has now outscored Jones in each of the past three games in which they have both played. Ridley is a fantastic WR2 right now who should be locked into your lineup, even with a tough 49ers Defense ahead in Week 15.

Dec 8 3:53pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (abdomen) suffered an abdomen injury during the Week 14 game and will not return.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should know more about Ridley's injury in the next day or two. Russell Gage Jr. likely would receive a bigger role in the passing game if Ridley misses time and could be at least a flex option in leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 6:53pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (toe) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 6, but is not on the injury report for Week 14.

Fantasy Spin: Ridley has been a big part of the passing game over the last few weeks with 32 targets over the last three games. He should see plenty of targets this week and can be at least a No. 3 receiver in leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 6:23pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (toe) was still limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Ridley has strung together his best three-game stretch of the season. He'll be a high-end WR2 against a Carolina Panthers team he torched for 143 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 so long as he suits up this week.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 10:30am ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley (toe) was a limited practice participant on Wednesday. He's currently questionable for Week 14 against the Panthers, but there doesn't seem to be much indication that he's at risk to miss the game. Ridley is riding a three-game hot streak. He has 22 receptions for over 300 yards and two touchdowns over his past three games. Julio Jones (shoulder) missed the team's last game and appears trending towards playing in Week 14. If Jones is active, Ridley's upside takes a small hit, but he's a strong WR2 play in all formats regardless.

From RotoBaller

Dec 4 6:23pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (toe) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should check on Ridley's status later in the week to see if he is on track to play. He has been a big part of the passing game recently with at least 85 yards in each of the last three games. He can be considered at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 4 5:00pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper (knee), wide receiver Calvin Ridley (toe), wide receiver Russell Gage (ribs) and tight end Jaeden Graham (thigh) were all limited in practice on Wednesday. The biggest one to watch is Hooper, who has been out since Nov. 10 against the Saints. Hooper would be a must-start fantasy TE if he returns to action in Week 14 against the Panthers. Ridley has come to life of late and had eight catches for 143 yards and a touchdown against Carolina on Nov. 17. Both he and Gage would lose some upside if Julio Jones (shoulder) returns this Sunday, but Ridley would still be in play as an upside WR3. Graham has been just a low-end, touchdown-dependent TE2 in Hooper's absence.

From RotoBaller

Nov 29 9:20am ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley led the team in receptions (8), targets (10) and receiving yards (91) against the Saints on Thanksgiving. It wasn't much of a surprise given the absence of Julio Jones (shoulder), but it's encouraging to now see three straight very solid games from Ridley as we approach the season's final stretch. Ridley has 32 targets in his past three games. He's essentially a must-start receiver right now regardless of whether or not the team has Jones back in Week 14 against the Panthers.

From RotoBaller

Nov 29 2:13am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley caught eight passes for 91 yards against the New Orleans Saints in Week 13.

Fantasy Spin: With both Julio Jones and Austin Hooper out of action, Ridley drew a lot of extra attention from the Saints. To his credit, the second-year wideout made some plays, leading the Falcons in both receptions and receiving yards. He's a low-end WR2 assuming Jones and/or Hooper return in Week 13. If both miss another game, he might have fringe WR1 upside.

From TheHuddle

Nov 27 8:50am ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley has excelled in two straight weeks, totalling 14 catches for 228 yards and two touchdowns on a whopping 22 targets. The targets are likely going to keep coming his way this week as the team will very likely be without star receiver Julio Jones (shoulder) and tight end Austin Hooper (knee). Neither player has practiced yet this week and the team has a short week of rest with a matchup against the Saints on Thanksgiving. The Saints have an elite run defense, so the Falcons are going to need to pass to stay competitive. Ridley should see around 10 targets in the game, giving him a great chance to gain around 100 yards and score another touchdown.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 6:43pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley caught six passes for 85 yards and one touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12. He was targeted 14 times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Ridley has posted 14 receptions, 228 yards and two touchdowns over the last two games and will continue to be a big part of the passing game moving forward. He was held to only 28 yards in his last game against the New Orleans Saints but can still be a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 24 4:50pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley was one of the team's lone bright spots in a 35-22 Week 12 loss to the Buccaneers. Ridley was targeted a team-high 14 times in the game and came down with eight receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown. He also had a 15-yard carry in the game to take him to exactly 100 yards from scrimmage on the day. The team's No. 1 receiver Julio Jones (shoulder) briefly left the game and finished with five catches for 68 yards on nine targets. Ridley is a WR2 going forward and will look to stay hot against the Saints on Thanksgiving.

From RotoBaller

Nov 21 11:50am ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley is in a great spot heading into Week 12. He's coming off of his best game of the year where he caught all eight of his targets for 143 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers. This week, Ridley and the Falcons face a Buccaneers Defense that has allowed the second-most passing yards per game in the league this year. The team's star wide receiver Julio Jones (foot) is currently questionable for the game. If Jones sits or plays at less than 100%, that gives Ridley even more of a boost. Regardless, Ridley should see around eight targets in the game, giving him a good chance to post between 80 and 100 receiving yards with touchdown potential.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 5:00pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley had a monster day in Week 11 against the Panthers, catching all eight of his targets for 143 yards and a touchdown. It was only Ridley's second 100-yard game of the season. The first one came all the way back in Week 2. Clearly, Matt Ryan saw something he liked in Ridley's matchup this week and exploited it heavily. Ridley had as many targets as his superstar teammate Julio Jones and outperformed Jones significantly as Jones had six catches for 91 yards in the game. Ridley should continue to see an uptick in targets with Austin Hooper (knee) sidelined, so make sure he's in your lineup with his favorable matchup against the Buccaneers in Week 12.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 4:43pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley caught eight passes for 143 yards and one touchdown against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11. He was targeted eight times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Ridley has been a bit inconsistent this season but posted his second 100-yard game of the season this week. He should have a favorable matchup in Week 12 and can be a No. 2 receiver.

From TheHuddle

Nov 14 1:00pm ET

It's been a roller-coaster type of year for Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley. He was rolling early in the season, but has gone without a touchdown in three straight games, and has failed to top 30 receiving yards in two of those three games. This week, Ridley and the Falcons face the Panthers. The team is going to be short-handed offensively with Austin Hooper (MCL) and Devonta Freeman (foot) sidelined. There's also a chance that quarterback Matt Ryan (ankle) misses the game. Ridley should have an opportunity to step up in the absence of Hooper and Freeman. Expect him to see at least six or seven targets from whoever is quarterback, giving him a good chance to come down with four or more catches and around 70 or 80 yards. He's a solid WR2 option this week.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 11:20pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley finished with just three catches for 28 yards during the win over the Saints in Week 10. Ridley was targeted five times on Sunday, his second-lowest of the season, and also failed to find the end zone for the third time in the team's last three games. After scoring four times during the first six games of the season, the 24-year-old has disappeared for the most part as of late. He remains a suitable starter in all formats but desperately needs to get it together against the Panthers in Week 11.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 4:53pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley caught three passes for 28 yards against the New Orleans Saints in Week 10. He was targeted five times during the game. He also rushed for 22 yards on one carry.

Fantasy Spin: Ridley has been targeted at least five times in each of the last six games, but his 28 yards were his second lowest of the season. He will look bounce back next week against the Carolina Panthers and can be No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 7 9:50am ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley has earned six or more targets in five straight games and should be able to keep that streak alive in Week 10 against the Saints. The Falcons should have starting quarterback Matt Ryan (ankle) back in action, which most definitely gives Ridley a boost. Ridley is the team's clear No. 2 receiver now that Mohamed Sanu is in New England. Even though tight end Austin Hooper is heavily involved in the passing game, Ridley still provides a unique asset as a more dynamic playmaker than Hooper. Expect Ridley to catch at least four passes and compile around 70 yards in Week 10, making him a viable low-end WR2 or strong WR3 in most leagues.
