Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller (hernia) underwent sports hernia surgery recently to fix a lingering groin injury that he suffered during the season, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly. The 25-year-old aggravated the injury in the Divisional loss to the Chiefs. Fuller missed five games with a chronic hamstring injury in 2019, and the Texans were 8-3 with him and 2-3 without him. He has 94 catches for 1,452 yards and 14 touchdowns in just 22 regular season games with quarterback Deshaun Watson, yet Fuller continues to struggle to stay on the field with regularity. Fuller is an excellent deep threat but is a frustrating player to own as a boom-or-bust WR3. He should be fully recovered in time for training camp this summer.

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) underwent sports hernia surgery, according to sources Saturday, Jan. 25. He's expected to make a full recovery.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller was limited to 11 games in 2019. He managed to catch 49 of 71 targets for 670 yards and three touchdowns, but he's now four years into his career and has yet to play more than 14 games. He'll again be a risky but high-upside WR3 in 2020 drafts.

From TheHuddle

Jan 12 7:30pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller (groin) returned on Sunday, catching five passes for 89 yards and using his gravity to help teammate Kenny Stills score a long first quarter touchdown. Fuller's still never been able to stay healthy for a full season, and the Texans do have an easy out if they decide to move on from him and his $10 million cap hit before next season. But Fuller's also so important to what the Texans want to do offensively that he may wind up back with the team for one final year, though it's hard to see him being a long term option in Houston because of all his injury concerns.

From RotoBaller

Jan 12 6:43pm ET

Houston Astros QB Deshaun Watson completed 31-of-52 passes for 388 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 51-31 AFC Divisional Round playoff game loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, as the team blew a 24-0 lead. RB Carlos Hyde rushed 13 times for 44 yards, while Watson also added 37 yards and a score. WR DeAndre Hopkins ended up with nine grabs for 118 yards on a game-high 14 targets. WR Will Fuller was a nice secondary option with 89 yards on five catches, while WR Kenny Stills posted three receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown. TE Darren Fells also had three catches for 22 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. RB Duke Johnson also chipped in with 11 rushing yards and five grabs for 23 yards. CB Lonnie Johnson also had a blocked kick return for touchdown in the first quarter while totaling four solo tackles.

From TheHuddle

Jan 12 1:43pm ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) is officially active for the Divisional Round playoff game.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller is back in the lineup after missing two games because of his injury. He likely will receive a handful of targets in the passing game and could be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 11 3:13pm ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) will be active for his team's Divisional Round game Sunday, Jan. 12, against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to league sources Saturday, Jan. 11.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller hasn't played since being forced from the Week 16 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A top big-play threat, he's likely to see plenty of work with the Texans expected to trail for much of the game against the Chiefs.

From TheHuddle

Jan 10 5:43pm ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) is expected to play in the Divisional Round playoff game unless something drastic changes, according to sources.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller has been dealing with the injury for a few weeks but appears to be on track to be on the field this weekend. He can be a flex option in fantasy leagues because of his big play ability.

From TheHuddle

Jan 10 4:30pm ET

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller (groin), who head coach Bill O'Brien said would be a game-time decision, is expected to play on Sunday in the Divisional Round against the Chiefs unless something crazy happens between now and then. Fuller nearly had a multi-touchdown game against Kansas City earlier this year, and he can take the top off any defense when healthy, especially with the Chiefs missing safety Juan Thornhill (knee) this weekend. Still, Fuller will be a boom/bust DFS option as Houston's deep threat, especially if he's not 100 percent. His return would be great news for a Texans offense that has played much better with him in there. Kenny Stills (if he plays) should man the slot with Fuller on track to return.

From RotoBaller

Jan 10 4:23pm ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 10, and is listed as questionable for the Divisional Round playoff game.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller is believed to have a good chance to play in the game, but fantasy players should check the inactive list for his official status. He will have a role in the passing game if he plays and could be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 10 2:30pm ET

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said that wide receiver Will Fuller (groin) is a game-time decision for the Divisional game against the Chiefs on Sunday. Fuller missed the wild-card win over the Bills and hasn't played since Dec. 21. Getting him back would be great news for Houston's entire offense, as the Texans just haven't been as explosive without their field-stretcher. Fuller had a modest five catches for 44 yards in the Oct. 13 meeting with Kansas City, but he can take the top off defenses with the best of them. The Chiefs are also a little more vulnerable without safety Juan Thornhill. Still, Fuller will once again be a boom-or-bust DFS commodity if he's active. If he's out again, it'll mean Kenny Stills and/or Keke Coutee and Deandre Carter in three-wide sets alongside DeAndre Hopkins.

From RotoBaller

Jan 10 12:43pm ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) is expected to have his status for the AFC wild-card game Sunday, Jan. 12, determined by a game-time decision, head coach Bill O'Brien said Friday.

Fantasy Spin: Last week's GTD didn't go in Fuller's favor as he missed his second straight game, but we'll need to check in again Sunday afternoon to see if he can give it a go against the Chiefs.

From TheHuddle

Jan 9 5:33pm ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Jan. 9.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller is expected to play Sunday, Jan. 12, against the Kansas City Chiefs. He'll be worth starting as long as he's active due to his big-play potential in a game in which the Texans are expected to trail by large amounts.

From TheHuddle

Jan 8 6:13pm ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller has missed some time because of his injury, but there is optimism about his availability for the playoff game. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation over the next few days because Fuller could be at least a flex option if he plays.

From TheHuddle

Jan 5 11:03am ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) is expected to be ready for the Divisional Round game versus the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, Jan. 12, barring a setback.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller was inactive for the team's Wild Card contest against the Buffalo Bills Saturday, Jan. 4, but had been able to participate on a limited basis in all three of their practice sessions leading up to the game. He should be viewed as a risky fantasy option due to his inability to remain healthy.

From TheHuddle

Jan 4 3:13pm ET

The Houston Texans have declared CB Cornell Armstrong, WR Steven Mitchell, CB Johnathan Joseph, DT Eddie Vanderdoes, WR Will Fuller, OT Elijah Nkansah and TE Jordan Akins inactive for Wildcard Weekend.

From TheHuddle

Jan 4 11:10am ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller (groin) has been ruled out for Saturday's Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills, says Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. Fuller's status had already been in doubt, so this news shouldn't come as a huge surprise. Kenny Stills will fill in for him as the team's second outside receiver, though this isn't a great matchup for Stills, who has surprisingly struggled more in games without Fuller than in ones with Fuller.

From RotoBaller

Jan 4 11:03am ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) will not play in the Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills Saturday, Jan. 4, according to multiple sources.

Fantasy Spin: Despite participating in all three of the team's practice sessions during the week on a limited basis, Fuller will need at least one additional week to fully recover from his groin injury. Kenny Stills will likely start in place of Fuller and Keke Coutee has a good chance of being active for the game but neither player is a recommended fantasy option due to the difficult matchup against the Buffalo secondary.

From TheHuddle

Jan 4 9:53am ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) is not expected to play in the Wild Card playoff game against the Buffalo Bills Saturday, Jan. 4, according to a source. However, he will be given until game time before the team makes a final decision on his availability.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller was listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited practice participant throughout the week. Even if he is active, he should be viewed as a fringe flex option at best because of the difficult matchup and being at less than 100 percent.

From TheHuddle

Jan 2 5:40pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller (groin) is a real long shot to play in the wild-card game against the Bills on Saturday, according to multiple sources. Head coach Bill O'Brien said earlier on Thursday that Fuller would be a game-time decision. The good news is that the Texans game is the first of the weekend, so those in DFS tournaments will know right away if he's playing or not. Still, Fuller would be a real boom/bust candidate if he suits up against a strong Bills Defense. If he doesn't, it'll hurt Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins, as Houston's offense has been much better with Fuller in the lineup. Keke Coutee and Deandre Carter would fight for playing time as the No. 3 wideout if Fuller can't go.

From RotoBaller

Jan 2 5:33pm ET

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Jan. 2.

Fantasy Spin: Fuller, who has battled injuries for much of the season, is unlikely to be at full health even if he's able to take the field Saturday, Jan. 4, against the Buffalo Bills. He'll be a fringe flex option in a difficult matchup.
