Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs, illness) is inactive for Week 15 against the Denver Broncos. Darwin Thompson, LeSean McCoy and Spencer Ware will shoulder the load for Kansas City. The Chiefs backfield isn't an ideal fantasy situation, though McCoy, who's had success running in snowy conditions, and Thompson are probably the safest choices.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 15 game.
From TheHuddle
The Kansas City Chiefs have declared QB Chad Henne, CB Morris Claiborne, OG Nick Allegretti, CB Rashad Fenton, RB Damien Williams, OT Jackson Barton and TE Deon Yelder inactive for Week 15.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs, illness) is expected to be inactive for Week 15's game against the Denver Broncos, according to a source.
Fantasy Spin: Williams was listed as questionable on the injury report but it was not a good sign that he was held out of practice Friday, Dec. 13. If Williams doesn't play versus Denver, LeSean McCoy, Spencer Ware and Darwin Thompson would share carries in the Kansas City backfield, although no player would likely receive enough snaps to be a decent flex option in most fantasy formats.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (rib, illness) is expected to be inactive against the Denver Broncos in Week 15. Williams got in two limited practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday before downgrading to a DNP on Friday. His absence means the Chiefs will roll with a backfield of LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson and Spencer Ware. McCoy and Thompson are probably the best fantasy options, with Thompson getting a slight upgrade in PPR formats for his work in the passing game.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's Week 15 matchup with the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs backfield is a mess with LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson, and Spencer Ware all in the mix. Williams has missed the last two games and could be limited, assuming he plays on Sunday. It's uncertain how many touches Williams would see even fully healthy. He's going to be a touchdown-dependent fantasy option that most owners should avoid for Week 15.
From RotoBaller
Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 13, and is listed as questionable for Week 15.
Fantasy Spin: Williams appears to have a chance to play in Week 15, but fantasy players will need to check the inactive list. He can be at least a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues if he plays.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs CBs Rashad Fenton (hamstring) and Morris Claiborne (shoulder) were unable to practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 15 versus the Denver Broncos. RB Damien Williams (rib) did not practice Friday, Dec. 13, and is listed as questionable. DE Frank Clark (illness, shoulder) returned to a full practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. LB Darron Lee (non-injury), OG Andrew Wylie (shoulder), OT Eric Fisher (groin), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), QB Patrick Mahomes (hand), DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow), DE Alex Okafor (ankle) and LB Anthony Hitchens (non-injury) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.
From TheHuddle
Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs, illness) missed practice Friday, Dec. 13, due to an illness.
Fantasy Spin: Semi good news as it apparently was not a flare-up of his lingering rib injury. Williams had been limited earlier in the week, and we'll see how he's listed on the team's official Week 15 injury report, due out later Friday.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 13.
Fantasy Spin: It looked as if Williams was on the right track for his first action since Week 11 after he got in limited work Wednesday and Thursday, but Friday's absence is an ominous setback and it looks like another jumbled week of LeSean McCoy, Spencer Ware and, likely, rookie Darwin Thompson in the K.C. backfield. We'll double check the official injury report, but if Williams remains out, fantasy GMs are advised to steer clear of this mess in the fantasy playoffs.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) remained a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 12.
Fantasy Spin: Williams hasn't played since Week 11 when he rushed for just seven yards on four carries with one six-yard reception. He'll be a risky flex play once able to return to the active roster, but he should get the bulk of the carries over LeSean McCoy.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) was listed as limited participant during practice Thursday, Dec. 12.
Fantasy Spin: Williams has been sidelined since Week 11, but there is optimism that he could return Sunday and be a RB2/flex factor in the fantasy playoffs. The key might be if Williams can up his participation level to full in practice Friday.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Fantasy Spin: Williams has missed the last few games but appears to have a chance to play in the Week 15 game. He can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in fantasy leagues if he is active for the game.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) is back on the practice field on Wednesday. Williams has been out since Week 11. In Week 14 against the Patriots, all three of LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson and Spencer Ware were involved in Kansas City's backfield. A Williams return in Week 15 against the Broncos would make this backfield even tougher to predict for fantasy owners moving forward. Ware will likely be the odd-man out if Williams is back, but that's no guarantee. Either way, fantasy owners in the playoffs shouldn't be planning on using Williams this Sunday.
From RotoBaller
The Kansas City Chiefs have declared QB Chad Henne, CB Rashad Fenton, RB Damien Williams, OT Jackson Barton, CB Morris Claiborne, TE Deon Yelder and OG Nick Allegretti inactive for Week 14.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs CB Morris Claiborne (shoulder), CB Rashad Fenton (hamstring) and RB Damien Williams (rib) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 14 versus the New England Patriots. DE Frank Clark (shoulder) and S Jordan Lucas (shoulder, illness) did not practice Friday, Dec. 6, and are listed as questionable. OT Eric Fisher (groin), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring), QB Patrick Mahomes (knee), DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow) and DE Alex Okafor (ankle) practiced in full all week and no longer appear on the injury report.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) did not practice Friday, Dec. 6, and was ruled out of Week 14 by head coach Andy Reid.
Fantasy Spin: Last year's late-season fantasy darling is off to a rough start this December as he's been sidelined since getting hurt in Week 11 in Mexico City. With fellow RB Darrel Williams landing on IR this week, that means the Chiefs' backfield will be in the hands of veteran LeSean McCoy and rookie Darwin Thompson.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) remained out of practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Unless Williams gets in at least a limited practice on Friday, he's headed for his second straight missed game after getting injured in Week 11. With Darrel Williams (hamstring) on Injured Reserve, we could be looking at a committee approach with LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson and Spencer Ware in Week 14 against the Patriots. Even if Williams is able to play, he'd be an RB3/flex to fade in the fantasy playoffs. Thompson might have the most fantasy upside this weekend with the Chiefs limiting McCoy's touches down the stretch.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) will not practice Thursday, Dec. 5, according to the team.
Fantasy Spin: Williams has not practiced or played since the Week 11 Monday-night game in Mexico City, and a Week 14 return is looking less and less likely with each missed practice this week. Friday likely is Williams' last hope, and we'll wait to see what transpires.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Fantasy Spin: Williams may have a chance to play in the Week 14 game but probably will have to practice at some point this week. Fantasy players will need to check on his status later in the week because he should be a starting option if he plays.
