New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara rushed four times for 24 yards and caught eight of 10 targets for 50 yards in his team's Week 10 loss. The 24-year-old looked good running the ball, though game script guided the Saints more towards the pass. Fellow back Latavius Murray had more rushing attempts, but Kamara out-touched him 12-seven. Kamara also out-snapped Murray 52-16. The good news for Kamara is, he looked healthy. The bad news is, he hasn't found the end zone since Week 2. He'll look to change that in a tough matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stingy run defense.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara caught eight passes for 50 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10. He was targeted 10 times during the game. He also rushed for 24 yards on four carries.
Fantasy Spin: The Saints did on run much during the game, but Kamara was a big factor in the passing game. He likely will receive more touches next week and will be a must-start option in fantasy leagues.
New Orleans Saints RB Latavius Murray will continue to have a big role in the offense against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10 despite the return of RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee), according to head coach Sean Payton. 'Week 1 of Alvin coming back,' Payton said. 'We'll be smart.'
Fantasy Spin: Murray proved he is more than capable of shouldering the load in Kamara's absence, delivering a pair of 100-yard rushing efforts. Even with Kamara back, Murray should be a strong flex option against the Falcons.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.
Fantasy Spin: Kamara should receive most of the work at running back this week, but Latavius Murray should also have a role in the offense. Kamara should be involved in the running and passing game against the Atlanta Falcons and is a must-start option in all leagues.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) is good to go for Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. It's a great welcome back to the lineup spot for Kamara, as the Falcons rank 21st in the league in rushing yards allowed. The 24-year-old has averaged 20 touches per game this year and has compiled 649 yards from scrimmage with two touchdowns in six games. With the earlier news of more of a backfield split with fellow back Latavius Murray, Kamara will probably see a few less touches. However, he will still return RB1 value in a potentially high-scoring game in New Orleans.
New Orleans Saints CB Patrick Robinson (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons. OT Terron Armstead (illness) was added to the injury report Friday, Nov. 8, while TE Josh Hill (calf) was limited; both players have been cleared to play. TE Jared Cook (ankle), WR Tre'Quan Smith (ankle), QB Drew Brees (thumb) and RB Alvin Kamara (knee, ankle) fully participated in practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) is ready to return in Week 10 after a two-game, three-week absence and said he would be happy to share the workload with fellow RB Latavius Murray who shined in Kamara's absence. 'It's not like I'm selfish. I don't need the ball every play,' Kamara said. 'He's fully capable, too. So I think we'll get a good balance going, and it will be hard to stop.'
Fantasy Spin: Murray averaged only 6.8 touches per contest in the six games Kamara has played, but he'll need a few more going forward to have true standalone fantasy value. In the the meantime, Murray is a must-own handcuff for those who own Kamara and a high-upside bench stash for those who don't.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is comfortable sharing carries with fellow back Latavius Murray, per ESPN's Mike Triplett. In two games without Kamara, Murray racked up over 150 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in each of them, earning himself a bigger slice. Expect touches to look something similar to last year's timeshare, where Kamara out-touched Mark Ingram 18-13. Kamara will still return RB1 value while Murray could get weekly flex consideration. Both can be in lineups this week against a struggling Atlanta Falcons Defense.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.
Fantasy Spin: Kamara has been one of the most valuable players in fantasy football over the past few seasons and is a must-start option in all leagues.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (knee, ankle) was a full participant in the team's practice on Thursday. Tight end Jared Cook (ankle) and wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith (ankle) were also full participants. The Saints offense is now back at full strength ahead of a home matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, which could produce a lot of fantasy points. Kamara is a must-start RB1 in Week 10. Cook benefits from the return of Brees and could produce TE1 numbers. Smith is just a risky flex, as he's only played in three games this year.
New Orleans Saints CB Patrick Robinson (hamstring) and TE Josh Hill (calf) were limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 7. TE Jared Cook (ankle), WR Tre'Quan Smith (ankle), QB Drew Brees (thumb) and RB Alvin Kamara (knee, ankle) practiced in full.
New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said, "I fully expect (Alvin Kamara) to be ready to play" in Week 10 against the Falcons. Kamara returned to practice on Wednesday after missing the last two games, so he's definitely on track to return to action in a great matchup against Atlanta. Kamara should be returned to all fantasy lineups as a strong RB1 this weekend, although Latavius Murray should continue to mix in after being extremely productive in the two games that Kamara missed. In deeper leagues, Murray absolutely will have some flex appeal still.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) is fully expected to play this week, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Fantasy Spin: Kamara returns to a decent matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, who haven't been great against RBs the last five weeks. Slot Kamara back in as your RB1.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Fantasy Spin: Kamara appears to have a good chance to play in Week 10, but fantasy players should check on his status later in the week. He is a must-start option in all leagues if active and should have a favorable matchup.
The New Orleans Saints have declared OG Nick Easton, RB Alvin Kamara, CB Patrick Robinson, WR Tre'Quan Smith, DE Carl Granderson, OT Ethan Greenidge and TE Jared Cook inactive for Week 8.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) is not active for Week 8's game against the Arizona Cardinals.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) is unlikely to play in Week 8's game against the Arizona Cardinals, according to multiple sources. He should be able to return to action in Week 10 following the team's bye.
Fantasy Spin: Kamara had been listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited participant in the team's final two practice sessions during the week. Latavius Murray should receive the bulk of the carries versus the Cardinals and is worthy of consideration as an RB2 in most fantasy formats this week.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ankle) will miss Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Just like last week, expect a heavy dose of Latavius Murray in this one against a Cardinals Defense that has struggled at times this year. Quarterback Drew Brees (thumb) is back, so the Saints offense will likely be firing at close to full speed, which will give Murray plenty of opportunities to compile numbers. Start him in Week 8.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 25, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.
Fantasy Spin: Kamara was able to practice the last two days, so he likely will be a game-time decision for Week 8. He will be a risky option if he is active but could still be a starting fantasy option. Latavius Murray probably should be started in fantasy leagues even if Kamara plays.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ankle) was limited the last two days in practice and is questionable for Week 8 against the Cardinals. Kamara sat out last week and could miss two straight games heading into the team's Week 9 bye. If he's playing, he's obviously a must-start, but he'd be at risk of an in-game setback or having his snaps reduced. If Kamara is out again, backup Latavius Murray will have RB1 upside in this great matchup. Murray was heavily involved in the passing game as well last week without Kamara playing, so it's just another reason to start Murray if Kamara is inactive.
