Player Notes
Nov 19 1:30am ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) was not able to do much damage during the Week 11 victory over the Chargers. Williams rushed four times for seven yards and caught one pass for six yards. He left during the second quarter due to a ribs injury and didn't return. Veteran LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams took over the running back duties from there. Both players scored a touchdown in this one, but that pattern is unlikely to continue. The Chiefs head into a bye week in Week 12, so it remains to be seen if Williams will miss any time from this ribs issue.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) suffered an injury on Monday night against the Chargers and is questionable to return. Williams ran the ball just four times for seven yards before leaving the game in Mexico City. He managed one catch for six yards on his only target in the passing game. It's frustrating for Williams' fantasy owners after he had taken over this backfield in recent weeks, but now LeSean McCoy might be back in the fold as the primary rushing option for KC if Williams is forced to miss time. Darrel Williams would serve as the change of pace for McCoy if Williams' injury is significant. Check back later for more updates on Williams' injury.

From RotoBaller

Nov 18 10:53pm ET

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) will not return to the Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers after checking out in the second quarter due to an injury to his ribs.

Fantasy Spin: With Williams on the shelf it will be LeSean McCoy handling a majority of the workload on the ground, with Darrel Williams also providing a breather and seeing time in passing downs.

From TheHuddle

Nov 18 9:53pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (undisclosed) left the Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers in the second quarter due to an undisclosed injury, leaving for the locker room.

Fantasy Spin: It's uncertain what Williams did, but LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams would be counted upon to shoulder the load if Damien Williams is forced to miss action.

From TheHuddle

Nov 18 9:53pm ET

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) is dealing with an injury to a rib and he is questionable to return to the Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Spin: Williams exited in the second quarter for the locker room. If he is unable to return it would be LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams carrying the mail for the remainder on Monday's game.

From TheHuddle

Nov 18 7:13pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (non-injury) is officially active for the team's Week 11 game.

Fantasy Spin: Williams should continue to receive a majority of the work at running back this week. He has rushed for 202 yards and one touchdown over the last two weeks and should be a No. 2 running back in all leagues this week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 17 11:40am ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams, who is questionable for personal reasons for Monday night against the Chargers, flew back with the team after dealing with a family matter and should be good for Monday night, according to a source. Williams has become the lead back with LeSean McCoy struggling with ball security and being a healthy scratch in Week 10. In a good matchup against Los Angeles on Monday night, Williams will have RB1 upside as long as he continues to get the lion's share of the backfield touches in this explosive offense. He's a must-start if he's active.

From RotoBaller

Nov 16 4:13pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (non-injury) did not participate in practice Saturday, Nov. 16, and is listed as questionable for Week 11.

Fantasy Spin: Williams is not dealing with an injury, so he should have a good chance to play in Week 11. He can be considered a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues if he plays.

From TheHuddle

Nov 16 2:30pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that running back Damien Williams, who is away from the team due to personal reasons, should travel with the team to Mexico City on Sunday. The Chiefs have an important divisional matchup against the Chargers on Monday night. If he's with the team, Williams will be a low-end RB1 in a great matchup on Monday night as the team's lead back in an explosive offense. LeSean McCoy has fallen out of the rotation due to ball-security issues, but he'd have RB2 appeal if Williams didn't wind up making the trip.

From RotoBaller

Nov 16 2:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (non-injury) will play in Week 11 on Monday, Nov. 18, despite missing the team's practices Friday and Saturday due to undisclosed personal reasons, a Chiefs beat reporter said Saturday.

Fantasy Spin: Williams appears to have taken over the lead role in the K.C. backfield of late and projects as a solid RB2 play against the Chargers on Monday.

From TheHuddle

Nov 15 6:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams has been solid for fantasy owners over the last two games. He gave owners headaches for most of the season, but is finally beginning to pay off. Veteran LeSean McCoy was scratched in Week 10, so that helped Williams get 19 carries with ease. It's unclear whether McCoy will suit up this week or not. The Chiefs are seeing positive results when they run with Williams, so they should continue to trust him. He'll have RB2 value for Monday night against the Chargers.

Nov 15 6:03pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs TE Blake Bell (ankle), DE Emmanuel Ogbah (pectoral), DE Alex Okafor (ankle) and RB Damien Williams (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 15. OT Mitchell Schwartz (knee) was limited. WR Sammy Watkins (groin), DE Frank Clark (neck), OG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (ankle), OT Cameron Erving (ankle), OT Eric Fisher (groin), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), DT Chris Jones (groin), QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) and DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Nov 15 1:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (non-injury) on Friday, Nov. 15, was excused from the team's practice for undisclosed personal, non-injury reasons.

Fantasy Spin: In playing 73 percent of the team's offensive snaps and receiving at least 14 touches in each of the last two games, Williams has taken over the lead role in the K.C. backfield and as long as he's good to go Monday night in Mexico City, he's a high-end RB2 start this week against the Chargers.

From TheHuddle

Nov 12 9:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams played 72 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 10 loss against the Tennessee Titans Sunday, Nov. 10. RB Darrel Williams played just 21 percent with RB Darwin Thompson getting a total of five offensive snaps. RB LeSean McCoy was a healthy scratch.

Fantasy Spin: Williams' 109 yards from scrimmage were the second-most he's racked up in a game and came on the heels of a season-high 125 rushing yards last week. He didn't find the end zone for the first time in three weeks, but it was a heavy workload and he lived up to the task. Fantasy managers who took a chance on him this year seem like they'll be rewarded down the stretch run.

From TheHuddle

Nov 10 9:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams rushed 19 times for 77 yards and caught all five of his targets for 32 yards in a 35-32 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 10.

Fantasy Spin: With the Chiefs resting LeSean McCoy, Williams took on a workhorse role. He has now topped 100 total yards in back-to-back games, and even when McCoy is back in the mix, Williams should be a quality flex option.

From TheHuddle

Nov 10 8:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams was expected to have a big game with veteran LeSean McCoy a healthy scratch in this one. Williams ran for over 125 yards in the game prior, so the Chiefs put their faith in him once again. He rushed 19 times for 77 yards and caught five passes for 32 yards through the air. However, Williams had a costly fumble that led to a Titans 53-yard touchdown. It's unclear whether or not McCoy will be active next week against the Chargers. Williams should be considered a low-end RB2 in Los Angeles for Week 11.

From RotoBaller

Nov 5 8:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams played 72% of the Chiefs' offensive snaps in the Week 9 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Spin: It was Williams' largest snap share of the season but it built off of a trend that started to develop in Week 8. It resulted in his best game of the season as he rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries with a long of 91 yards. Backup LeSean McCoy played just six snaps with Darrel Williams chipping in with 11. Dam. Williams seems to be in full control of the KC backfield right now.

From TheHuddle

Nov 3 8:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams ran 12 times for 125 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings and he added two receptions for three yards.

Fantasy Spin: This was what was expected from Williams out of the gate, but injuries kept him from producing to his full capabilities. It's likely he is in line for a strong second half as long as he can avoid any further ailments. Treat him as a RB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 10 at Tennessee.

From TheHuddle

Nov 3 8:10pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams has been tough to own in fantasy leagues this season because he hasn't done much since Week 1. Williams was able to run all over the Vikings in Week 9. He rushed 12 times for 125 yards and a touchdown in the win. However, most of the yards were because of a 91-yard touchdown run during the third quarter. It was a nice performance, but fantasy owners shouldn't get carried away. Williams will remain a flex option for Week 10 against the Titans.

From RotoBaller

Nov 2 6:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams finished with a season-high 30 rushing yards in the loss to Green Bay in Week 8. The fact 30 yards is his best running performance of the season is discouraging. Veteran LeSean McCoy seems to get most of the touches over the last few weeks. Williams has only seen more than nine carries in a single game once this season. He'll be a touchdown dependent flex option for Week 9 against the Vikings.
