Player Notes
Feb 6 11:13pm ET

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr had a 112.6 quarterback rating when targeting WR Tyrell Williams in 2019, the highest rating to any receiver in his career.

Fantasy Spin: Williams slowed dramatically after a hot start to the year, but he was still the most dangerous deep threat for the passing attack. His big-play ability gives him WR3 potential in standard leagues, but Williams' style is a better fit for best-ball formats.

From TheHuddle

Feb 5 6:43pm ET

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams' $11 million base salary for 2020 became full guaranteed Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Williams posted 651 yards and six touchdowns in 14 regular season games and likely will be one of the starting receivers again next season. He has a chance to be a No. 3 in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 5:33pm ET

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 27, but is not on the injury report for Week 17.

Fantasy Spin: Williams had a bounce back performance last week after a few disappointing games and recorded 105 yards and one touchdown against the Denver Broncos earlier this season. He can be a No. 3 receiver for fantasy players this week.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 4:43pm ET

Oakland Raiders OG Richie Incognito (ankle) and RB Josh Jacobs (shoulder, illness) did not practice all week and are listed as doubtful for Week 17 versus the Denver Broncos. WR Tyrell Williams (foot) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday, Dec. 27, and has been removed from the injury report. C Rodney Hudson (ankle), OG Gabe Jackson (knee), S Lamarcus Joyner (calf, quad) and CB Trayvon Mullen (neck, concussion) were upgraded to a full practice Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 3:30pm ET

Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden said that wide receiver Tyrell Williams (foot) will play in Week 17 against the Broncos. The Raiders will likely be without rookie running back Josh Jacobs (shoulder) in this must-win divisional tilt, but Williams will be on the field. He opened the season with touchdowns in five straight games, but the first-year Raider predictably fell off after that and has been playing through a foot injury of late. He's yet to be targeted more than seven times in a game in 2019 and will remain a touchdown-dependent WR4 for fantasy owners. Williams had six catches for 105 yards and a touchdown in the season opener against Denver, but it'd be a surprise if he bested that this weekend.

Dec 26 6:03pm ET

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 26. He wasn't on the injury report for Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy managers will want to see at least a limited practice session from Williams Friday, Dec. 27, but there shouldn't be too much concern at this point. He's a WR2 in the must-win game for the Raiders.

From TheHuddle

Dec 22 10:23pm ET

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams caught all four of his targets for 82 yards in a 24-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: It was a solid outing in what has been a mostly quiet second half of the year for Williams. He has scored just once in the last eight games, and he has been held below 50 yards six times in that stretch. He's a big-play dependent, all-or-nothing flex option.

From TheHuddle

Dec 19 8:50pm ET

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams ended his touchdown slump last weekend with a 40-yard score, but it's hard to trust the veteran for championship weekend. He's seen his overall production significantly drop off over the last four weeks, averaging just two catches and 27 yards a game in this span. It won't help his cause either that his LA Chargers opponent this weekend has seen key pieces of their defense return to action, allowing just two TD passes to the position since Week 7. Williams remains a boom-or-bust player this Sunday whose fantasy production depends on finding the end zone.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 10:13pm ET

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams caught two of his three targets for 45 yards, including a 40-yard touchdown, in a 20-16 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15.

Fantasy Spin: After scoring in five consecutive games to open the year, Williams had gone six straight games without a touchdown prior to the Week 15 contests. He's an all-or-nothing, touchdown-dependent flex option.

From TheHuddle

Dec 15 8:10pm ET

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams broke his six-game scoreless drought by hitting a 40-yard score on the first drive of the game in the team's 20-16 loss to the Jaguars. He broke a sure-tackle about ten yards down the field and ran for the rest untouched for the touchdown. Williams failed to do much the rest of the way, adding just one catch for five yards the rest of the way as the offense as a whole sputtered in the second half. The veteran hasn't shown any consistency this season and is a risky play for the fantasy championship next week. Williams will be a TD-dependant WR4 in a road date with the Chargers who held him to 25 yards back in Week 10.

From RotoBaller

Dec 13 1:00am ET

Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson said that wide receiver Tyrell Williams (foot) is still bothered by his plantar fasciitis. "Plantar fasciitis, its a pretty significant injury, but hes battling through it. Hes taking medication before every game trying to manage the pain," Olson said. The first-year Raider opened the year like gangbusters with five straight games finding the end zone. He predictably fell off from there and has just six catches for 62 scoreless yards the last three games against the Jets, Chiefs and Titans. He hasn't gone over 100 yards in a single game this year and also doesn't have more than seven targets in a game in 2019. Williams is a low-upside, low-volume, touchdown-dependent WR3/4 for fantasy owners. Throw in his lingering foot injury and you have a player to avoid.

From RotoBaller

Dec 12 9:00pm ET

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams has disappointed fantasy owners so far in the second half of the season. He's been held to under 50 receiving yards in five of his last six games, and hasn't eclipsed triple-digits since Week 1. Williams has also gone six straight games without a touchdown, making him hard to trust versus the Jaguars this week. The Jacksonville defense has allowed the 13th fewest points to the position this season and has notably been burned on the ground in recent weeks. The Raiders will undoubtedly keep their run-first mentality, creating even less volume for the team's pass-catchers. Williams is a TD-dependant WR4 for Week 15, and shouldn't be trusted for the fantasy playoffs.

From RotoBaller

Dec 9 1:33am ET

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams caught three of his four targets for 35 yards in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Spin: It was another disappointing day for a receiver who began the season by scoring a touchdown in five straight games but hasn't come close to visiting the end zone again since. Making matters worse, he's only topped three catches once since Week 2. Williams has struggled for long enough at this point that owners still vying for a fantasy championship can probably drop him if they haven't already.

From TheHuddle

Dec 8 8:40pm ET

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams failed to do much on his four targets as the Titans rolled to a 42-21 Week 14 victory on Sunday. He hauled in three catches for 35 yards as he's now been held to under 50 yards in five of his last six contests. With Derek Carr failing to utilize Williams' deep threat ability, he's been a fantasy non-factor over the past month and a half. Owners can afford to cut bait on the veteran, if they haven't already, as the passing offense just doesn't have enough volume to keep him afloat. Williams will be a TD-dependant WR4 next week when the Jaguars come to town for the final home game ever played in Oakland.

From RotoBaller

Dec 5 9:50pm ET

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams is coming off his worst game of the season (1/9/0), and his Week 14 matchup doesn't appear that encouraging either. The Titans have allowed the sixth-most passing yards in the league (260.1 YPG), but have kept opposing WRs out of the end zone in five of their last seven contests. Quarterback Derek Carr has also struggled of late, which has limited Williams to five consecutive games without a score and no 100-yard games since Week 1. Treat the veteran as a WR4 as we enter the first week of fantasy playoffs.

From RotoBaller

Dec 2 1:23am ET

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams caught one of his four targets for nine yards in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Spin: Williams was second on the team in targets, but he disappointed in the box score for this second straight week and the third time in four games. Touchdown regression has hit him in a big way, as he hasn't scored in five weeks after scoring once in each of his first games. Williams will be hard to trust as anything more than a WR4 in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans.

From TheHuddle

Dec 1 8:00pm ET

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams had his worst game of the season in Week 13 as the team got steamrolled by the Chiefs 40-9. He caught one pass for a measly nine yards, which came on the final drive of the game. Williams did finish second on the team with four targets as the passing game struggled all day versus the Chiefs surprisingly stingy secondary. The 27-year-old should be treated as a WR4 for the fantasy playoffs with a difficult schedule remaining. Williams and the Raiders will face another tough pass defense in Week 14 when the Titans come to the Black Hole.

From RotoBaller

Nov 29 6:50pm ET

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams will look to snap his four-game touchdown skid this Sunday in a crucial game versus the Kansas City Chiefs. He posted an admirable 5/46/1 line when these teams faced off against each other back in Week 2, but the game script called for a lot more passing plays in that contest. The Raiders will likely keep the clock ticking by running the ball versus a lousy Chiefs run defense, so there may not be an abundance of opportunities for Williams. He hasn't caught more than four receptions in a game since these teams last hooked up, but with Hunter Renfrow sidelined, it could help open things up. The 27-year-old is a TD-dependant WR3 and would benefit more if the Raiders fell behind by multiple scores early.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 5:40pm ET

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams was one of many players to struggle for the offense in the team's 34-3 loss to the Jets on Sunday. He hauled in two of his six targets for a paltry 18 yards in what was easily the worst game of the season for the squad. Williams has now been shut out of the end zone in four straight games and has yet to top 100 yards since Week 1. He's fading into a WR4 with the team's run-first mentality and Derek Carr leaning more on Hunter Renfrow and the plethora of tight end options in the passing game. Williams will be a TD-dependant WR4 in Week 13 when the Raiders travel to Kansas City for their most crucial game of the season.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 4:53pm ET

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams finished with two grabs for just 18 yards on six targets in Week 12 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Spin: The Jets defense limited the Raiders to just three points in an ugly day for the offense. Williams had been a legit fantasy option before his injury, but since returning from a month-long injury he has just one touchdown in five games. He is best used as a WR5 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 13 in Kansas City.
