2024 RTSports Outlook

Burkhead served as the top pass-catching back for the Texans last year and caught a career-best 37 passes for 204 yards. He ran for just 80 yards on 26 carries, though. He also scored just one touchdown on the season. His pass catching numbers helped his fantasy value, though, having double-digit fantasy points two times despite his lack of yards and scores. Burkhead will try to land a similar role this season but nothing is certain. He will be 33 years old before the start of the season and was pretty mediocre with his touches last year. Burkhead is a hard working back. He lacks some speed for the running back spot but makes up for that with some toughness. He does well between the tackles and is a pretty good one-cut runner, making defenders miss. He also has good hands and can help as a receiver.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Burkhead has at least 25 receptions four straight seasons. He could reach that number again but won't get many scores or yards. He has little fantasy value outside of really deep formats, especially at his age. He could get around 20 receptions and 200 total yards.
