Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift is looking to sustain his elite productivity in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers. Swift had a monster game in Week 13, totaling 138 scrimmage yards and a touchdown against the defending champion, Philadelphia Eagles. While Swift has averaged 14.4 PPR fantasy points per game this season, rookie running back Kyle Monangai has been performing like a number-one running back as well. Over the past three weeks, the split has been nearly even, with Swift playing 52% of the snaps and Monangai playing 46%. The matchup is not ideal as well, with the Packers ranking as the seventh-best run defense in the NFL this season. Swift's fantasy value will come down to game script, as he should be considered a low-end RB2 in Week 14.

Chicago's RB D'Andre Swift ran for 125 yards on 18 carries with one touchdown in Friday's win in Philadelphia.

Nov 27 8:20am CT

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift had his worst game of the 2025 season in Week 12, handling just eight carries for 15 yards. Swift's role plummeted last week, as a costly fumble cut his snaps and his role against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Swift dropped from a consistent 60%+ snap player to playing under 43% of the snaps, trailing rookie running back Kyle Monangai, who played 57%. This week will be telling to see if Swift loses or returns to his normal starting role in Week 13. The Bears face the Philadelphia Eagles, who have regressed from the league's best run defense in 2024 to a middle-of-the-pack defense in 2025. However, with Monangai continuing to carve a role, Swift is more of a FLEX play in Week 13, rather than a locked-in starter.

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (hip) was a full participant in practice on Thursday as he continues to deal with a hip injury, according to Michal Dwojak of Bears Insider. Swift was listed as limited on Wednesday with his hip injury. The 26-year-old followed a similar practice plan last week before being cleared, playing 57% of the offensive snaps, and turning 21 carries into 90 rushing yards in the Week 11 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Rookie Kyle Monangai continues to be involved behind Swift and even scored again on Sunday, but if healthy, Swift is going to remain Chicago's clear lead back. Barring a setback in practice on Friday, Swift should be cleared from the Bears' final injury report heading into Week 12's game against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. The matchup isn't an ideal one, but Swift's volume alone should keep him in the RB2 tier for fantasy managers.

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (hip) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice session, according to the team's official website. Swift has been a regular on the injury report with various nagging injuries and missed Chicago's Week 9 win over the Bengals, but has played in each of the past two weeks and resumed his lead-back role. The 26-year-old handled a season-high 21 carries for 90 yards in a Week 11 win over Minnesota. Rookie Kyle Monangai stayed involved with 13 touches for 37 yards and a rushing touchdown, but Swift has still been their best option. Swift was limited in Wednesday's practice last week before being upgraded to full on Thursday and Friday, and he should be on track to play again in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Nov 15 11:30am CT

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift is off the injury report and is set to play in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings. This marks the first time since Week 6 that Swift has no injury designation, as he has been playing through nagging hip and groin injuries throughout the season. Despite playing through injury, Swift has been a game-changer for the Bears this season. In eight games, he has 754 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns on 136 total attempts. However, Week 11 marks his first relatively tough opponent he's had since Week 2, as the Vikings have allowed the 13th fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. This run defense is no joke, as they've held Derrick Henry and Jahmyr Gibbs to under double-digit fantasy points in back-to-back weeks. Swift profiles as a risky RB2 this week, with his value dependent on whether he finds the endzone in Minnesota.

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (hip) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Swift was limited in practice to begin the week due to a hip issue. After that, Swift was able to get in two full practices which was enough to clear him for this contest. He figures to resume his role as the lead back, but Kyle Monangai has earned a bigger role in recent weeks. Last week, Swift rushed for 80 yards while hauling in five passes in the win over the New York Giants. He does enough to warrant starting as a RB2 for Week 11.

Nov 13 2:50pm CT

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (hip) returned to a full practice session on Thursday after he was limited the day before, according to Courtney Cronin of ESPN. Swift missed the Week 9 game due to a nagging groin issue, but he returned in last week's win over the New York Giants and handled 18 touches for 98 scrimmage yards. However, rookie RB Kyle Monangai, who went off in Week 9 in Swift's absence, scored the team's lone rushing touchdown on seven carries. The 26-year-old Swift is still the Bears' lead back, but the emergence of Monangai as his change-of-pace backfield mate could limit Swift's overall weekly upside in the second half of the season. Swift is the RB14 in half-PPR scoring this year with 544 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 113 carries while adding 23 catches for 210 yards and another score in eight games. He'll be a high-end RB2 in Week 11 against the G-Men.

Nov 12 3:40pm CT

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (hip) was a limited participant in practice to open the week on Wednesday. Swift returned in Week 10 after missing one game due to a groin injury, and handled his normal workload with 13 carries for 80 yards with five catches (eight targets) for 18 yards. There was plenty of talk about how head coach Ben Johnson would distribute the running back touches after rookie Kyle Monangai broke out for 198 total yards in Week 9, but it was still clearly Swift's backfield. Swift played 60.9% of the snaps with 18 touches, compared to Monangai at a 39.1% snap share with seven touches, though he did score a touchdown on a goal-line carry. The rookie should continue to have a role, but Swift will stay as the preferred back to have in fantasy, and will rank as a solid RB2 for Week 11 against the Vikings, assuming he is good to go.

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin, personal) is active for Sunday's Week 10 contest against the New York Giants. He had been listed as questionable after missing Friday's practice. The veteran ball-carrier has impressed when healthy this season, but after a short absence, he suddenly faces competition from standout rookie Kyle Monangai. With a wintry mix falling and a matchup against the Giants' 31st-ranked run defense, the Bears are expected to use a healthy dose of both Swift and Monangai out of the backfield on Sunday. Both can be low-end RB2 options in fantasy football.

Nov 8 9:00pm CT

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) is anticipated to suit up on Sunday versus the New York Giants. The 26-year-old has been battling a groin injury for a few weeks. However, it finally kept him off the field for the Week 9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Kyle Monangai handled nearly all of the snaps out of the backfield in that one, amassing 176 yards off 26 carries, adding three receptions for 22 yards. While Swift might lead the way in snaps at the position, it's hard to imagine Monangai going away after such a strong performance. Unfortunately, the backfield competition makes this situation hard to navigate from a fantasy standpoint. With that said, Swift still is worth starting in most fantasy formats for the favorable matchup with the Giants, although that may change in the weeks ahead.

Nov 7 2:40pm CT

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the New York Giants, according to Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic. Swift was downgraded to a DNP for Friday's practice session due to a personal reason, but practiced fully on Thursday, signaling that he is trending in the right direction for Sunday. The 26-year-old missed his first game of the season in Chicago's Week 9 win at Cincinnati due to the nagging groin injury. In Swift's absence, rookie Kyle Monangai racked up 198 total yards from scrimmage and figures to be a bigger part of the backfield rotation in future weeks, as indicated by head coach Ben Johnson. The plan is for Swift to be active in Week 10, and he gets a great matchup in his return against a Giants defense that has allowed a league-worst 5.5 yards per carry.

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) is trending in the right direction to make his return in Week 10 against the New York Giants on Sunday after upgrading to a full practice on Wednesday, according to Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic. Swift was limited in Wednesday's practice after he was held out of the Week 9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals due to a lingering groin issue. The 26-year-old is feeling much better and said that he plans to be active this weekend. With Swift out last Sunday, rookie Kyle Monangai filled in nicely, going for 198 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 29 touches in a pristine matchup. Monangai could be mixed in more often going forward to make sure Swift remains healthy, but if Swift returns against the G-Men, Monangai will become a much riskier RB3/flex in fantasy. Swift should be Chicago's RB1 if he's back this weekend.

Nov 5 5:20pm CT

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin), who was limited in practice on Wednesday, said he plans to play on Sunday in Week 10 versus the visiting New York Giants, according to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Swift missed the wild win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9 due to a chronic groin injury. In his absence, rookie Kyle Monangai impressed, taking 26 carries for 176 yards. Head coach Ben Johnson said the Bears were protecting Swift from himself by letting him rest a groin injury that he's been dealing with for the past month. Monangai was also limited in Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, while Roschon Johnson was limited in his return from a back injury. Swift's RB1 job in Chicago shouldn't be in jeopardy, but if he does return this weekend against New York, he could cede a few more backfield touches to Monangai.

Nov 5 3:40pm CT

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Swift missed his first game of the season in Week 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but is on the right track to return in Week 10. The 26-year-old has been a mainstay on the Bears' injury report since Week 7 with a nagging groin injury, and perhaps the week off will allow him to be healthier for the second half of the season. Rookie Kyle Monangai broke out in his absence, totaling 198 yards on 29 touches in Week 9. Chicago may lean on the rookie's bruising running style more to complement Swift in the future, but Swift was also running really well when he was healthy. There's a good chance Swift only misses one game, and his status will be updated in the coming days.
