Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (rest) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Fantasy Spin: Allen and his teammates just played Monday against Philadelphia, so this is no surprise. Expect Allen to be ready for Week 15. He remains a useful WR3 or flex fantasy option in PPR formats, with slightly lesser appeal in standard play.

Dec 9 2:03am CT

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen had a team-high three catches for 22 yards in a Week 14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Spin: On a night when the passing game could do little, Allen led the way with an unimpressive three receptions. Ever since beginning the season with 60-plus yards and TDs in each of his first three games, Allen has one total touchdown and one game of over 60 yards in his last 10. He's still worth holding as depth, but right now you're talking about a desperation play with limited upside.

Dec 6 3:20pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen continues to see a decrease in usage, following a performance of four receptions for 30 yards on five targets against the Las Vegas Raiders, averaging just 7.5 yards per catch. His longest reception was only 10 yards, and his limited opportunities are further emphasized by having only one red-zone target in his last five games. Allen faces a tough Philadelphia Eagles secondary in a game expected to be run-heavy, regardless of whether Justin Herbert (hand) or backup Trey Lance is under center. If Lance starts, a drop in production from all receivers is anticipated. RotoBaller ranks Allen as WR39 this week. While he remains a dependable option for chain-moving targets, the combination of his decreasing usage, limited red zone chances, and smaller aDOT makes Allen a risky low-end WR4 with little upside.

Dec 5 11:40pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen hasn't been as productive in recent games. It's been a tale of two halves for the veteran, as he has just one game of over 50 receiving yards since his 11-catch, 119-yard touchdown performance in Week 7 against the Colts. Over that five-game stretch, the 33-year-old ranks as just the WR65, averaging 6.9 PPR points per game. In the first seven weeks of the season, Allen turned back the clock and recorded 44 receptions for 435 yards and four touchdowns on 65 targets, ranking as the WR7 in total PPR points. Rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden has stepped on a lot of Allen's production of late, and the Chargers have mixed in rookie Tre' Harris more as the season has gone along. Allen's floor for receptions isn't as high as it was earlier in the season, which makes him tough to trust in fantasy football. Especially with quarterback Justin Herbert dealing with a fracture in his left hand, Allen is best left on benches in Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 6:00pm CT

Los Angeles wide receiver Keenan Allen recorded a modest four catches for 30 yards on five targets in the team's 31-14 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Allen matched the team lead in receptions but provided little beyond sustaining drives. Over his last five games, he has only one red-zone target and saw fewer snaps as rookie Tre' Harris received more opportunities with the Chargers dominating on the ground. Justin Herbert's fractured non-throwing hand resulted in a more conservative game script (21 passes versus 43 rushes), further limiting Allen's upside. Heading into Week 14, the Philadelphia Eagles have shown vulnerabilities in back-to-back losses but still rank in the top 10 in pass defense, and Herbert's availability after surgery remains uncertain. If Trey Lance starts, all receivers' outlooks decline, although Allen's reliability might make him the backup's preferred safety valve. Nonetheless, expectations should stay low.

Nov 30 8:23pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen ended up with four receptions for 30 yards on five targets in Week 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Fantasy Spin: Allen is up to 60 receptions on the season, and he has four or more catches in 10 of his 12 games this season. The 32-year-old veteran has at least 60 receptions in nine consecutive NFL seasons, and 12 of his 13 campaigns so far. He continues to be a solid WR3 or flex play in PPR leagues, with slightly lesser appeal in standard formats.

From TheHuddle

Nov 28 4:40pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was a rare bright spot in the team's disastrous loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, leading the team with four receptions for 53 yards on six targets. Despite his route rate recently increasing, Allen's target rate has stabilized at around five targets per game, and he has only seen one red-zone target over the last four contests, limiting his overall upside. He faces a favorable matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, who play zone coverage at the second-highest rate in the league. Allen is significantly more effective against zone coverage than man, making him a reliable, high-floor target for the often under-pressure Justin Herbert. RotoBaller ranks Allen as WR41 this week, reflecting concerns over his decreased usage and limited red-zone opportunities. Given his favorable zone matchup and reliability in moving the chains, Allen can be considered a sneaky FLEX option.

Nov 17 11:50pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was the only bright spot in the team's disastrous 35-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, posting four receptions for 53 yards on six targets. He led the team in every receiving category on a day when Justin Herbert threw for just 81 yards, and the offense gained only 135 total yards. Allen's route rate had been trending down in recent weeks, but the veteran stepped up while the rest of the offense struggled to function. Even in a historically bad performance, Allen delivered a useful 9.3 PPR points. As the Chargers head into their desperately needed Week 12 bye, Allen still proves to be a reliable pass catcher heading into the fantasy playoff push.

From RotoBaller

Nov 16 3:13pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen posted four receptions for a team-best 53 yards on six targets in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Spin: It wasn't a great stat line, and he went without a touchdown for the fourth straight game. However, he had his most yards since posted 11 grabs for 119 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. He is a solid WR3 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues, with lesser appeal in standard play. However, you'll have to go another way in Week 12, as the Bolts are on a bye.

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has been on a bit of a cold streak recently but has been targeted at least five times in every game this season. He should see a similar workload this week and can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 14 4:50pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen enters Week 11 as the franchise's all-time receptions leader, but his fantasy production remains concerning. Allen has caught four or fewer passes in his last three games, with only 15 targets during that span and just one red-zone target. Although he faces a vulnerable Jacksonville Jaguars secondary that has struggled to defend big plays, his significantly reduced snap share and route rate limit the volume he needs to succeed for fantasy managers. While he might have a favorable individual matchup against Jaguars cornerback Montaric Brown, who is allowing a 13.5-yard average depth of target (ADOT), the overall decrease in usage downgrades him to a high-end WR4/FLEX option. Setting expectations accordingly is wise, as he is no longer the volume-dependent starter he was earlier in the season.

From RotoBaller

Nov 13 7:13pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (non-injury) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 13.

Fantasy Spin: As expected, Allen returned to practice after receiving a day off on Wednesday. After a strong start to the year, Allen has a total of eight catches over the last three games, and he hasn't received more than five targets in any of those contests. Consider him a flex option or low-end WR3 in PPR formats.

Nov 12 7:03pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (rest) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 12, getting a veteran's day of rest.

Fantasy Spin: Allen is expected to practice the rest of the week, and there is no reason to believe he won't be ready for the Week 11 road matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has been struggling lately, but he remains a decent low-end RB3 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues, with lesser appeal in standard play.

From TheHuddle

Nov 10 5:00pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen caught two passes for 19 yards on five targets in Sunday's 25-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a quiet night statistically, but a historic one: Allen passed Hall of Famer Antonio Gates to become the Chargers' all-time leader in receptions. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old's route rate continues to decline (around 60%) as younger receivers like rookie Tre' Harris are integrated into the offense. His decrease in volume is typical of aging veterans mid to late in the season. Still, Week 11 offers a bounce-back opportunity against a struggling Jacksonville Jaguars defense that ranks ninth in passing yards allowed and fourth in receiving touchdowns surrendered. If rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden (quad) misses time, Allen could see an uptick in usage. He remains a WR3 with PPR upside, but if he continues to struggle to see volume, he might become more of a fringe WR4 moving forward.
