Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. said he's feeling better heading into his second year in the NFL, and the electric return man will also get more chances to return kicks in 2024 with the new league rules. Mims averaged 26.5 yards per kickoff return last year and had one of the league's four return touchdowns. The second-round pick last year was a Pro Bowl returner in his rookie season, but he had only 22 catches for 377 yards and a touchdown as a receiver, with most of the production coming early in the year. The coaching staff struggled to find snaps for Mims behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy is now gone, but Mims will be competing for snaps with Josh Reynolds, Tim Patrick and rookie Troy Franklin. Mims has the potential to make noise as a deep threat once again, but unless an injury opens up consistent snaps for him on offense, he may just be more of a special teams asset for Denver in 2024.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds could find himself in a substantial role in the Broncos' offense in his first year with the team after signing a two-year, $9 million deal in March. Reynolds comes from Detroit, where head coach Dan Campbell previously worked under current Broncos head coach Sean Payton in New Orleans. Payton is seeking more production all across the offense in 2024 and is embracing the idea that it could come from anywhere. "He's long; he has strong hands. Another veteran receiver," Payton said of Reynolds. Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin (head) was photographed participating in OTAs on Thursday, according to the Marietta Daily Journal. The pass-catching back came on strong late in his rookie campaign last year, but he's still expected to face firm competition in the form of Javonte Williams and Audric Estime, to name a couple. Adding extra faces to this backfield complicates the matter and drops McLaughlin to a depth role, making him a reasonable target at his ADP of 163. Fantasy managers will find extra solace in the fact that he's healthy and ready to go for the season.

Denver Broncos running back Samaje Perine could be one of the players released or traded by the team this offseason, according to Nick Kosmider of The Athletic. Kosmider notes that "it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the Broncos moved on from Perine" given that releasing him would create roughly $3 million in cap space. That's a very reasonable outcome for Denver as they look for extra money and find ways to win with younger players. Perine, 28, broke free for 238 rushing and 455 receiving yards in 2023. The 27-year-old signed a two-year, $10 million deal prior to last season and could now be considered a mentor who could be an upset winner of the starting job this summer. Stidham, Wilson and Nix will get an equal split of the work during the offseason program, but we probably won't have a better sense of who is in the lead in the competition until training camp. Stidham has the advantage of knowing the offense from a season ago, but even if he's the starter in Week 1, he'll be on a short leash and will be a low-upside, low-end QB2 in fantasy.

Denver Broncos veteran wide receiver Tim Patrick (Achilles) is taking part in OTAs this week, according to NFL.com. The 30-year-old suffered a torn ACL during training camp in 2022 and a torn Achilles in 2023's training camp. It's been an unfortunate run of bad luck for the 2017 undrafted free agent, but hopefully, he'll make it to the start of the season in 2024. Patrick caught 164 passes for 1,476 yards and 11 touchdowns in his last 31 games, but considering he hasn't taken the field in two years, it's tough to get excited about his fantasy football outlook. Assuming Patrick's agility and speed haven't been completely zapped by major injuries, he's likely to start the season behind Courtland Sutton, Josh Reynolds, and Marvin Mims Jr. Troy Franklin and Lil'Jordan Humphrey could also pass him up on the depth chart, depending on how he's moving at this point in his career. The Broncos are likely to have a bottom-ten offense under rookie quarterback Bo Nix.

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (foot) is working off the field at OTAs as he works his way back from a foot injury, but head coach Sean Payton said he expects him to be ready for training camp later this summer. The veteran has two years left on a four-year, $60 million extension, but has made it clear he wants a raise. He also requested a trade, although the team is apparently not looking to move him. Of course, there will be updates on the situation moving ahead. Yet, it won't be as much of a concern until the summer when Denver begins training camp. With that said, several teams will monitor things, especially with Sutton coming off a massive year, which included a career-high 10 touchdowns.
