San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne will likely be in the team's starting lineup for Week 8 with Ricky Pearsall (knee) declared out. With Pearsall out in Weeks 5 and 6, Bourne exploded for 142 receiving yards in both games. His production cratered in Week 7, however, to two catches for 14 yards on two targets, while Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs, shoulder) earned seven. An increasingly healthy Jennings could remain a focal point on offense, and George Kittle's target share will assuredly grow after being used almost exclusively as a blocker in his return from injured reserve last week. Bourne's rapport with Mac Jones (knee, oblique), who will start again in Week 8, may be for naught with the increasing number of mouths to feed. Bourne projects as a borderline WR3/4 and will be a tough start against a Houston defense that ranks fourth in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has shined of late. Although the wideout still hasn't scored a touchdown, he's certainly made up for it by combining for 15 catches (20 targets) for 284 yards in his last two appearances. With Brock Purdy (toe) still out, Mac Jones should continue to look in his direction in Week 7 versus a potent Falcons defense. While George Kittle (hamstring) will make his return after getting injured in the Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks, Bourne could continue to get more attention that Jauan Jennings (ankle, rib, shoulder), who had only one catch in the recent loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that in mind, Bourne has done enough to earn a spot in any fantasy lineup despite a challenging matchup on tap.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has stepped up in a major way with the team dealing with multiple injuries to their skill position group, and could be in line for more work again in Week 7. Kendrick Bourne has posted exactly 142 receiving yards in back-to-back weeks, catching 10 of 11 targets against the Rams in Week 5 and hauling in 5 of 9 targets against the Buccaneers in Week 6. With WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) and TE George Kittle (hamstring) both expected to be back relatively soon, but WR Jauan Jennings is dealing with multiple broken ribs, Bourne could be relied on again in the short term. More news should come out on the statues of the Pearsall, Kittle, and Jennings throughout the week.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne was again a pivotal part of his team's success this past weekend, and could be in store for extended work once more in Week 7. The 30-year-old has stepped up admirably with a myriad of injuries around him, compiling a 15/284 line through the last two weeks on a whopping 20 targets. While teammates Ricky Pearsall (knee) and George Kittle (hamstring) are expected back in due time, that may not come to fruition for their meeting with the Lions on Monday night. Furthermore, fellow WR Jauan Jennings is battling multiple broken ribs, leaving his efficacy in question. At present, Bourne seems like a good bet to be heavily involved again when his team next takes the field, with the uncertainty surrounding the return of his teammates.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne recorded his second straight monster performance in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hauling in five catches for 142 yards on nine targets. Bourne now has 15 catches for 284 yards on 20 targets over the past two weeks. With 49ers wideout Ricky Pearsall (knee) having missed two straight games due to a knee injury and fellow wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ribs, ankle) playing through broken ribs, Bourne has stepped up. The 49ers could be getting tight end George Kittle (hamstring) back off of Injured Reserve in the coming weeks, which would provide some target competition for Bourne. For now, Bourne has a chance to provide consistent production as one of the featured pieces in the San Francisco passing game.

Dynasty | 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne had five catches for 142 yards in a win loss against Tampa Bay. Dynasty Analysis: Get it? Bourne has found his spot in the 49ers offense as they deal with a litany of injuries. This makes back-to-back weeks with 142 receiving yards as Bourne has really stepped up. It will be interesting to see just what we get from him after everyone returns but his short-term value has been incredible. Bourne looks like a lineup lock until the 49ers get healthy and could even have some value then. He looks like a solid pickup for a contender, though his dynasty value isn't much in the long run.
49ers' WR Kendrick Bourne had 5 receptions for 142 yards but no touchdowns in Sunday's loss in Tampa Bay. It was Bourne's 2nd consecutive 100+ yard receiving game. He has averaged 8 catches with 142 receiving yards in those games.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne remains an intriguing fantasy option despite teammate Jauan Jennings (ankle, rib) returning. The veteran receiver is coming off a career performance in which he caught 10 passes for 142 yards. Ricky Pearsall (knee) remains sidelined for the Niners, so Bourne should still start and carve out a sizable role alongside Jennings. Also working in Bourne's favor is the quarterback situation. Brock Purdy (toe) will miss his fourth game, leaving Mac Jones in line to start. Jones and Bourne have a great rapport from their time together in New England, as well as last week's big game, and should continue to strengthen their connection during Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Jennings' return may lower Bourne's ceiling, the veteran receiver is still an intriguing WR3/flex in leagues with at least 12 teams.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne set a new career-high in receiving yards in Week 5. With Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) out of the picture due to injuries, Bourne caught 10 of his 11 targets for 142 yards in the 49ers' 26-23 win over the Rams. Pearsall has already been declared out for Week 6 and Jennings is listed as questionable, meaning Bourne could see heavy involvement on Sunday. With Brock Purdy (toe) also out, Mac Jones (knee, oblique) will draw another start. Jones has been solid in relief and was under center for Bourne's massive game last week, so the quarterback change does not signal a downgrade for the receiver's prospects. Bourne projects as a low-end WR3 against the Buccaneers.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne saw his utilization surge in the absence of Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) during Week 5. Bourne was tied with tight end Jake Tonges for 11 targets and led the team with 10 receptions and 142 receiving yards. On Monday, Pearsall was not seen at the team's first practice of the week. Jennings was reportedly suited up and carrying his helmet. Their availability for the 49ers' Week 6 matchup against the Buccaneers will become clearer after the team's first official practice and injury report on Wednesday. Following his explosive performance last Thursday and with his teammates' status murky, Bourne will likely be a popular waiver wire add going into Week 6.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne stepped up in a big way for the banged-up 49ers in their 26-23 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night, catching a whopping 10 passes on 11 targets for a career-best 142 receiving yards. Bourne was a cutdown-day casualty in New England with the Patriots after training camp, but he latched on quickly with San Francisco and has been a big addition because of injuries to both Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall. The 30-year-old veteran was quarterback Mac Jones' most reliable and productive target as the Niners pulled off the upset on the road at SoFi Stadium. "KB's been awesome for us, man," head coach Shanahan said. Seven of Bourne's 10 grabs came in the second half. Bourne and Jones clearly have chemistry, but Bourne's fantasy value moving forward will all depend on when Jennings and Pearsall return to action.

49ers' WR Kendrick Bourne had 10 receptions for 142 yards but no touchdowns in Thursday's win in Los Angeles Rams.
Dynasty | 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne had ten catches for 142 yards in a win against the Rams. Dynasty Analysis: Considering Bourne had just 8 catches on 13 targets for a total of 87 yards in his first three games, this was a shock even with the 49ers running out of healthy bodies. This will undoubtedly go down as his best game of the year but it also puts him back on the short-term roster radar. If you had to use him as a dart throw this week, you hit a bullseye.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne caught 10 of his 11 targets for 142 yards during Thursday's Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Rams in overtime. The 30-year-old took on a massive role with Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) and Ricky Pearsall (knee) sidelined, and he showed that he was up for the task as his reception total jumped from one last week to 10 this week. Meanwhile, the veteran's 24.2 fantasy points (PPR) were the most he has scored in a single game since Week 1 of the 2023 season, when he was with the New England Patriots. Some managers in deeper leagues started Bourne on Thursday, so while his big game was a surprise, it still impacted plenty of fantasy football matchups. Bourne will head back to a depth role once Jennings and Pearsall are healthy again. For now, he's not a reliable fantasy option for Week 6 against the Ravens, but his fantasy outlook will gain some more clarity when the 49ers post their injury report next Wednesday.
From RotoBaller
In Week 5, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne will once again ascend to the top of the depth chart thanks to injuries to both Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Jauan Jennings (ankle/ribs). Bourne started alongside Pearsall in Jennings' absence in Week 3, and came away with four catches and 38 yards on six targets. Hardly the boom some were hoping for, but with Pearsall also sidelined this time around, Bourne could see more work. As in Week 3, Bourne's former Patriots teammate, quarterback Mac Jones, will take the place of Brock Purdy (toe). It should be noted that their shared history didn't garner the receiver any special attention then, however. Bourne projects as a WR4 in Week 5, and with the 49ers playing on Thursday night, it is a risky bet to start the week with him occupying a starting WR slot in fantasy lineups.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne drew a start in Week 3, thanks to Jauan Jennings (ankle/shoulder) being scratched just hours before gametime. With Demarcus Robinson returning from suspension this week, the expectation was that Bourne would be crowded out of the wide receiver rotation. However, the door may be open for a second start as both Jennings and Ricky Pearsall (knee) are listed as questionable for Week 4. Last week, Bourne turned six targets into four catches for 38 yards. With Brock Purdy (toe/shoulder) deemed Sunday's starter, Bourne would see better quarterbacking than he had with Mac Jones (knee) under center, improving his odds for a more productive day. Everything rides on the health of his teammates, though, so interested fantasy managers need to monitor the situation through the weekend.
