Player Notes
Jan 16 10:03pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson finished with career lows in both carries (67) and rushing yards (349) in 2025, and his two rushing touchdowns tied a career low.

Fantasy Spin: Yes, injuries limited Jackson to 13 games, but he played in just 12 games in both 2021 and 2022 but topped 700 rushing yards in both of those seasons. There is a chance that a fully healthy Jackson is back to his old self next season, but the drop in rushing production is something worth considering when deciding when to target Jackson in fantasy drafts.

Jan 16 7:23pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson hopefully will agree to a contract extension before the start of free agency, according to owner Steve Bisciotti.

Fantasy Spin: Jackson is scheduled to count $74.5 million against the salary cap next season, so the team would like to drop that down with an extension. Jackson will continue to be the Ravens starter for the foreseeable future and will likely be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback next season.

From TheHuddle

Jan 13 6:00pm ET

Despite a disappointing 2025 season in which they failed to reach the playoffs, the Baltimore Ravens are standing behind franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. "I want him to be my quarterback," owner Steve Bisciotti said on Tuesday. Baltimore's owner also said that Jackson, who is his own agent, seemed amenable to a new deal and made it clear he wants to get something done before free agency begins in March. There were rumors late in the 2025 season that the Ravens might consider trading the 29-year-old MVP in the offseason due to a rift with head coach John Harbaugh, but that pretty much ended when the Ravens surprisingly fired Harbaugh last week. Jackson missed several games due to a hamstring injury early in the season and just never looked like himself, finishing as the QB20 in fantasy points with 2,549 passing yards, 21 TDs, and seven interceptions. He also only ran for two touchdowns. With better health, Jackson will be a prime bounce-back candidate in 2026.

Jan 7 12:40pm ET

The Baltimore Ravens surprisingly fired long-time head coach John Harbaugh after 18 seasons at the helm on Tuesday, and they are looking for a new head coach who will "reach and "invigorate" quarterback Lamar Jackson, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Baltimore wants to find someone who can get the "absolute most" out of Jackson going forward. The two-time MVP QB seemed disinterested during the 2025 season, but he also missed a few games with a hamstring injury and was constantly listed on the injury report with nagging lower-body injuries. The 28-year-old dual-threat QB also missed a game late in the year with a back contusion. There were reports of a rift between Jackson and Harbaugh this year, and there were even rumors that Jackson could be traded in the offseason. With Harbaugh now out in Baltimore, it appears that the Ravens are moving forward with the plan to keep Jackson as the face of the franchise.

Jan 5 12:40am ET

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson completed 11 of 18 passes for 238 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, along with four carries for nine yards in a 26-24 Week 18 loss in a win-or-go-home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jackson returned for the season finale after missing last week's game due to a back injury and delivered his most efficient performance of the season by yards per attempt (13.2) on only 18 throws, but he fell short of winning a third straight AFC North title. The star quarterback has battled through a long list of injuries throughout the entire season and hasn't experienced the same highs as his excellent 2024 campaign. The 28-year-old signal-caller threw three touchdowns for the first time since returning from his early-season hamstring injury in Week 9 against the Dolphins, and the second time he's done so in 10 career games against the Steelers. Jackson will have some time to recover from his injuries in the offseason, and he could return to elite QB1 status with better health in 2026.

Jan 5 12:23am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson completed 11 of 18 passes for 238 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in Week 18 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jackson also ran four times for nine yards.

Fantasy Spin: The No. 1 order of business for Jackson, who turns 29 in three days, is to get fully healthy and then figure out a plan to stay that way after the veteran saw a variety of ailments conspire to limit him to 13 games -- he also left two other games prematurely due to injury. The big question for 2026 is whether Jackson, who has missed significant time in three of the last five seasons, will continue to be as aggressive running the football after he rushed for a career-low 349 yards. Without the running, Jackson's fantasy outlook could look dramatically different.

From TheHuddle

Jan 4 12:33pm ET

The Baltimore Ravens may restructure QB Lamar Jackson's contract during the upcoming offseason in order to free up salary cap space and appear likely to discuss a contract extension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Spin: Both sides were unsuccessful at finalizing an extension last summer but it appears as though Baltimore is committed to keeping him for years to come. Despite missing four games this season due to back and hamstring injuries, Jackson should continue to be viewed as a midrange QB1 option in all fantasy leagues when he is healthy.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (back) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 2, and is not on the injury report for Week 18.

Fantasy Spin: Jackson will be returning to the lineup after missing some time because of the back injury. He played well against the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the season and can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in leagues this week.

Jan 1 3:20pm ET

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) said he will "100%" play in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday night against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. Jackson practiced in full on Wednesday and was on the practice field for a second straight day on Thursday. The two-time MVP will return this weekend after missing the Week 17 win over the Green Bay Packers with a back contusion that he suffered in the Week 16 loss to the New England Patriots. Jackson has not been very healthy in 2025, and the results have shown, as he hasn't been a top-10 fantasy QB. He looks to be the healthiest he's been in a while, though, going into the AFC North title game, and he'll be squaring off against a Steelers defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing QBs. There's some hope that Jackson can bounce back as a QB1 in Week 18.

Jan 1 2:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) is practicing for the second straight day this week on Thursday, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. Jackson was a full practice participant on Wednesday and looks ready to start Sunday's AFC North title game versus the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers in the Week 18 regular-season finale. A back contusion kept Jackson from playing in last Saturday night's win over the Green Bay Packers, but he appears to be ready to return for a huge game this Sunday evening. The 28-year-old two-time MVP has not looked like an elite dual-threat fantasy QB in 2025, so fantasy managers playing for a title may be hesitant to throw him back into starting lineups this weekend. In the first meeting with Pittsburgh on Dec. 7, Jackson threw for 219 yards, one touchdown, and an interception against the Steelers, adding 43 rushing yards and only his second rushing TD of the year.

Jan 1 1:53pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (back) practiced in full on Thursday, Jan. 1.

Fantasy Spin: Jackson has practiced fully for two straight days, which indicates he will start for the Ravens. Jackson is still worthy of being a QB1 despite the injury.

Dec 31 7:53pm ET

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (non-injury), WR DeAndre Hopkins (non-injury) and LB Kyle Van Noy (quadriceps) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31. DT Taven Bryan (knee), TE Charlie Kolar (nose), FB Patrick Ricard (ankle), LB Roquan Smith (hamstring), OT Ronnie Stanley (knee) and OG Andrew Vorhees (foot) were limited during practice. QB Lamar Jackson (back) fully participated in practice.

Dec 31 7:43pm ET

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (back) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Spin: Jackson is on track to return to the lineup after a one-game absence and played well against the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the season. He can be a possible low-end No. 1 quarterback in some leagues if active.

From TheHuddle

Dec 31 3:40pm ET

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, and head coach John Harbaugh said "he looked good," according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. Jackson suffered a back contusion in the Week 16 loss to the New England Patriots and didn't suit up for last Saturday's win over the Green Bay Packers. However, with the Ravens having a shot to win the AFC North this Sunday night by beating the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers, the team is now optimistic that Jackson can return in Week 18. The 28-year-old two-time MVP's status is worth monitoring the rest of the week, but as of now, it looks like he's angling to make his return. Jackson has not looked like his elite dual-threat self in 2025, though, while battling through multiple lower-body injuries. He enters Week 18 play tied for the QB16 ranking with 17.5 fantasy points per game.

From RotoBaller

Dec 31 10:23am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (back) will practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Spin: Jackson would be a midrange QB1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers if he's fit to go. Otherwise, Tyler Huntley would be a risky QB2 in superflex and two-QB leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 31 9:20am ET

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) has returned to practice, and there is some optimism that he will play in Week 18. He is currently listed as questionable, and head coach John Harbaugh said that when he is healthy, he will play and start in the pivotal Week 18 AFC North matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where the winner will take the division and lock in a playoff spot, while the loser goes home. Jackson injured his back in the first half of the Ravens' Week 16 loss to the New England Patriots and did not play in Week 17 at Green Bay last week, and has now missed a total of five games on the season. Tyler Huntley stepped in and finished the Week 16 contest and started in the Ravens' Week 17 win at Green Bay, and would be in line for another start if Jackson misses again.

Dec 29 4:40pm ET

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is under contract through the 2027 season, but a prominent NFL agent said on Sunday that "the biggest story of the offseason is going to be Lamar. That is going to be crazy." Head coach John Harbaugh has downplayed stories suggesting that his relationship with Jackson has been strained amid a disappointing season for the two-time MVP QB. Jackson and Baltimore have been in this position before, but after a lengthy contract negotiation and a trade request from Jackson, the two sides agreed to a five-year, $260 million extension in April of 2023. "The fact that Lamar does not have an agent is really a big negative," an NFL team executive said. When he's been at his best (and healthy), Jackson has been elite at the QB position, but outside of two seasons, the dual-threat QB hasn't been consistently great. With a lengthy injury history, too, it makes sense as to why Baltimore might consider trading Jackson this offseason.
