Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold joined Tom Brady as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to win 14 or more games in back-to-back seasons, and Darnold is the only quarterback to win 14-plus games in his first season after changing teams, accomplishing the feat for the second year in a row in 2025.
Fantasy Spin: While Darnold did lead the league in turnovers this season, he also topped 4,000 yards for the second year in a row and threw 25 touchdowns. He should be a reliable QB2 in 2026 with streaming potential against the right matchups.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold completed 19 of his 38 pass attempts for 202 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Super Bowl LX victory over the New England Patriots. He also rushed for five yards and took just one sack. The veteran signal-caller didn't make a ton of breathtaking plays, but more importantly, he played turnover-free football while letting the defense and rushing attack win the big game. It was a storybook moment for Darnold, who started his career as a so-called first-round "bust" in New York. His NFL voyage took him through Carolina, San Francisco, and Minnesota before he signed with the Seahawks last offseason. During his first year in Seattle, he played all 17 regular-season games, completing 67.7% of his pass attempts for 4,048 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. For the second year in a row, he eclipsed 4,000 passing yards and was named to the Pro Bowl. With Jaxon Smith-Njigba at his disposal and a fantastic offensive line in front of him, Darnold should be due for more success in the future. He'll rank as a fringe top-14 quarterback entering 2026 fantasy football drafts.

Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold earned a $1 million incentive by winning Super Bowl LX.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold completed 19 of his 38 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown and added five rushing yards in a 29-13 win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX. RB Kenneth Walker III gained 135 yards on 27 carries and caught two passes for 26 yards, and RB George Holani chipped in six rushing yards on two carries and caught a seven-yard pass. WR Cooper Kupp finished with a team-high six receptions on 12 targets for 61 receiving yards, and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba hauled in four of his 10 targets for 27 yards. TE AJ Barner caught four passes for 54 yards and a touchdown, and WR Rashid Shaheed gained 27 yards on a pair of receptions. LB Ernest Jones led the defense with 11 tackles, including 10 solo stops, and LB Uchenna Nwosu returned an interception for a touchdown. S Julian Love also had an interception, and DT Byron Murphy II and DE Derick Hall both had two of Seattle's six sacks, and Murphy also recovered a fumble.
From TheHuddle
Seven of the last nine Super Bowl MVPs have been quarterbacks, and if Seattle Seahawks signal-caller Sam Darnold can limit his mistakes against the Patriots in Super Bowl LX, he stands a strong chance to extend that streak. Darnold, who led all players with 20 regular-season turnovers, has not thrown an interception in either playoff game, and though he has fumbled twice, both have been recovered by the Seahawks. While his opponent, Drake Maye, has shown an ability to quickly put mistakes behind him all season long, Darnold has a history of allowing bad plays to stack. If he's able to keep the ball out of harm's way against an opportunistic Patriots defense that has forced eight turnovers through three playoff games, Seattle will have every opportunity to win what many are projecting as a low-scoring game.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold (oblique) practiced in full for a second straight day on Friday and was removed from the final injury report ahead of Super Bowl LX on Sunday versus the New England Patriots. Darnold suffered a left-oblique injury in practice just days before the team's Divisional Round win over the San Francisco 49ers, but it hasn't affected him in two playoff victories on the road to the Super Bowl. The 28-year-old signal-caller has gone 37-for-53 for 470 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in wins over the 49ers and Los Angeles Rams in the postseason, and his oblique injury should not be an issue at all this weekend. He'll be facing off against a Patriots defense on Sunday that allowed the ninth-fewest passing yards during the regular season, although their schedule was extremely soft. His counterpart, Drake Maye, will be the more popular DFS play in the Super Bowl because he finished as the QB3 in fantasy during the regular season, but Darnold has looked much sharper than Maye in the playoffs.

Seattle Seahawks FB Robbie Ouzts (neck) was limited during practice Friday, Feb. 6, and is listed as questionable for Super Bowl LX. OT Joshua Jones (ankle, knee) was limited during practice but is not on the injury report. WR Jake Bobo (hand), OT Charles Cross (foot), QB Sam Darnold (oblique), S Nick Emmanwori (ankle), LB Ernest Jones (chest), LB DeMarcus Lawrence (non-injury), S Julian Love (shoulder), FB Brady Russell (hand), TE Eric Saubert (hamstring), WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (non-injury), LB Drake Thomas (shoulder) and DE Leonard Williams (non-injury) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (oblique) fully participated in practice Friday, Feb. 6, and is not on the injury report for Super Bowl LX.
Fantasy Spin: Darnold has been dealing with the injury for a few weeks but was able to play in the NFC Championship game with the injury and will be ready to play in Super Bowl LX. He has played well in the playoffs and will be a starting quarterback in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold (oblique) was a full participant in practice on Thursday, according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Darnold was upgraded after being listed as limited on Wednesday's injury report. The 28-year-old signal-caller injured his left oblique in practice just days before the team's Divisional Round win over the San Francisco 49ers. He attempted only 17 passes in the 41-6 blowout win over the Niners, but Darnold bounced back for fantasy managers in the 31-27 win over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship, going 25-for-36 for a season-high 346 yards and three touchdowns. Darnold won't have an easy test against the New England Patriots' defense in Super Bowl LX this Sunday, but he should be able to move the ball enough to put Seattle in position to win the game. Fantasy managers should not be worried at all about his oblique affecting his performance.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks S Nick Emmanwori (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Feb. 5, and FB Robbie Ouzts (neck) and OT Charles Cross (foot) were limited participants in the session. QB Sam Darnold (oblique), WR Jake Bobo (hand), LB Ernest Jones (chest), S Julian Love (shoulder), WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (non-injury), DL DeMarcus Lawrence (non-injury), DL Leonard Williams (non-injury), FB Brady Russell (hand), OT Joshua Jones (ankle, knee), LB Drake Thomas (shoulder) and TE Eric Saubert (hamstring) were full participants.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (oblique) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Feb. 5.
Fantasy Spin: After starting the week with a limited session, Darnold was a full go on Thursday. After battling an oblique injury the last couple of weeks, it looks like he could be close to full strength for Super Bowl LX.
From TheHuddle
Despite being listed as limited on Wednesday's injury report, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold (oblique) doesn't seem concerned about his injury heading into Super Bowl LX on Sunday against the New England Patriots, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN. "It feels really good," Darnold said. "Definitely, the time off has helped a little bit. I'm always just going to take it one step at a time, do my rehab and do everything I need to do to make sure it feels great going into practice and going into the game ... on Sunday." The 28-year-old has played both playoff games with the oblique injury and hasn't been affected, so fantasy managers in DFS contests shouldn't be too worried about it affecting him on Sunday, especially with an extra week to rest. Darnold will be going up against a Patriots defense that allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game (16.1) to the QB position during the regular season.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (oblique) said his oblique feels really good heading into the Super Bowl. 'It feels really good,' Darnold said Wednesday morning. 'Definitely the time off has helped a little bit. I'm always just going to take it one step at a time, do my rehab and do everything I need to do to make sure it feels great going into practice and going into the game... on Sunday.'
Fantasy Spin: Darnold has opened eyes these playoffs and threw for 346 yards, three TDs and no INTs in the NFC Championship Game. Against Seattle's elite defense, and with a shoulder issue, Drake Maye falls behind Darnold in DFS this weekend.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (oblique) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Fantasy Spin: Darnold continues to deal with an oblique injury that he picked up during the playoffs, but it didn't slow him down in the NFC Championship Game when he threw for 356 yards and three touchdowns. He will try for a repeat performance in Super Bowl LX.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold (oblique) remains on the injury report and was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday, according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Darnold injured his left oblique in practice days before the team's Divisional Round win over the San Francisco 49ers, but he wasn't tagged on last week's final injury report and is fully expected to play this Sunday in Super Bowl LX versus the New England Patriots. The 28-year-old signal-caller only attempted 17 passes in the 41-6 blowout win over the Niners, but he went 25-for-36 for a season-high 346 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in the NFC Championship win over the Los Angeles Rams. The former third overall pick by the New York Jets in 2018 out of USC will look to put the finishing touches on an incredible career resurgence.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold (oblique) was limited in practice all week but was removed from the final injury report on Friday, according to John Boyle of Seahawks.com. Darnold injured his left oblique in practice before the Divisional Round win over the San Francisco 49ers. The 28-year-old has played in both of the team's postseason games and has gone 37-for-53 passing for 470 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in wins over San Fran and the Los Angeles Rams. Darnold hasn't wavered since tweaking his oblique several weeks ago, and with another week until the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 8, against the New England Patriots, he should be close to 100%. The former third overall pick back in 2018 by the New York Jets threw for a season-high 346 yards against the Rams last weekend and could put up big numbers in the big game against New England.
