Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has been a key PPR contributor this season, and he's a fringe starting option this week against the Titans. The veteran missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a shoulder injury, but he does not have an injury designation coming into Week 11. He found the end zone for the first time this season last week against the Jaguars, finishing with seven catches for 53 yards and his score. He has at least five catches in six of his last seven games, and even though his yardage totals haven't been impressive, he's been regularly involved enough to be the TE13 in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 11, as he comes into a favorable matchup against the Titans.

From RotoBaller

Nov 14 9:43pm CT

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz has finished with at least six receptions and at least eight targets in three of his last four games.

Fantasy Spin: Schultz has topped 50 receiving yards three times in that span, and he saw a season-high 11 targets against Jacksonville in Week 10 with Davis Mills under center. Mills will start again in Week 11 against Tennessee, so Schultz could be headed for another busy game. He has TE1 upside and is a strong streaming option.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (illness, shoulder) was able to practice in full on Friday and has been cleared to play in Sunday's divisional tilt against the Tennessee Titans in Week 11. Schultz's status for this weekend wasn't looking good when he missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday due to an illness and a shoulder injury, but he'll be ready to roll after a full practice on Friday. The 29-year-old is coming off a seven-catch, 53-yard performance on a season-high 11 targets in last week's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, in which he also caught his first touchdown of the year. Backup quarterback Davis Mills looked Schultz's way often in a miraculous comeback, but fantasy managers can't count on that kind of volume from Mills for a second straight week. Still, in a good matchup against the one-win Titans, Schultz should at least be on the TE1/2 borderline as a fantasy streamer this weekend.

Stroud (concussion), PK Ka'imi Fairbairn (quadriceps), CB Damon Arnette (ankle) and TE Harrison Bryant (neck shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 14, and have been ruled out for Week 11. OG Ed Ingram (knee) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. FB Jakob Johnson (hamstring) and TE Cade Stover (foot) fully participated in practice but are listed as questionable. LB Azeez Al-Shaair (knee), QB Davis Mills (elbow), WR Braxton Berrios (quadriceps), LB Jake Hansen (elbow), LB Christian Harris (shin), OT Tytus Howard (concussion), TE Dalton Schultz (illness, shoulder) and DE Denico Autry (knee) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (illness, shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Fantasy Spin: Schultz likely missed the practice Thursday, Nov. 13, because of the illness and should be able to handle his normal workload. He has posted at least 50 yards in three of his last four games and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in some leagues.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (shoulder) is missing a second straight day of practice this week on Thursday, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Sports. With two DNPs to begin the week, Schultz is firmly up in the air to play this weekend against the division-rival Tennessee Titans. It's pretty disappointing for any fantasy managers who picked up the 29-year-old after he had seven receptions on a season-high 11 targets for 53 yards and his first touchdown of 2025 in last week's spirited comeback win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The good news, though, is that Schultz missed two practices back in Week 9 with knee and shoulder injuries before returning to practice on Friday and playing that Sunday. Schultz may need a full practice this Friday to be cleared to play on Sunday. Harrison Bryant (neck, shoulder) is also banged up, and Cade Stover (foot) is still on IR, so Houston's TE corps could be dangerously thin if Schultz cannot play this Sunday.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (shoulder) is not participating in practice Thursday, Nov. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Schultz missed some practice time last week but was able to play, so fantasy players can check to see if he takes part in the final practice of the week. He will see a decent amount of targets if he is active and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (shoulder) was a non-participant during Wednesday's practice session. This doesn't come as a surprise considering Schultz has been managing a knee and shoulder injury the last week. Despite that, Schultz did suit up for last week's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Schultz hauled in seven of his 11 targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in the victory. The hope is that Schultz was held out on Wednesday for rest maintenance. Outside of one dud, Schultz has been a viable fantasy option over the last five games. Fantasy managers should check back on Thursday and Friday for more updates on his status.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Fantasy Spin: Schultz has been able to play despite the injury, so fantasy players can check on his status later in the week to see if he will play in Week 11. He has been targeted at least eight times in three of the last four games and was able to find the end zone last week. He will see a good amount of targets if he plays and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in most leagues.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz caught seven of 11 targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in the team's improbable Week 10 win over the Jaguars. In Davis Mills' first start since 2022, only Nico Collins demanded a higher target share. Schultz has now caught at least five passes for 50+ yards in four of his last five games, proving himself to be an important piece of the Texans' passing offense, regardless of who is under center. While Sunday's fourth-quarter touchdown was his first of the season, he's been able to provide a reliable floor on volume alone. With C.J. Stroud one week further along in the concussion protocol, Shultz remains in the streaming conversation in another divisional matchup with the Titans in Week 11. And should Stroud be sidelined for one more week, fantasy managers should feel reassured by Schultz's early chemistry with Mills.

Nov 9 6:23pm CT

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz caught seven of 11 targets for 53 yards in Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Spin: Schultz was limited this week due to knee and shoulder injuries but scored his first touchdown of the season while setting a season high with 11 targets from backup Davis Mills. Schultz has 13 grabs in the last two weeks and can be a useful fill-in in most formats but he needs more touchdowns to be considered as a full-time starter.

From TheHuddle

Nov 8 4:50am CT

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has been a solid PPR producer this season, and his high volume of targets on short passes gives him a high floor again this week against the Jaguars. The Jaguars have given up the second-most fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, and Schultz has turned his 6.0 targets into 4.8 catches per game, although only for 48.1 yards per game and no touchdowns. Schultz has at least five catches in five of his last six games after hauling in six catches for 77 yards last week against Denver. He hasn't hit 100 yards or found the end zone, but his consistent involvement makes him a bye-week or injury fill-in option or a strong second tight end. He's the No. 19 TE this week in RotoBaller's rankings and is a little higher-risk with Davis Mills replacing C.J. Stroud, but Schultz has been consistently involved enough to still bring upside in this favorable matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 7 4:23pm CT

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (knee, shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

Fantasy Spin: Schultz may see an increased role in the passing game with Davis Mills joining the starting lineup. He has posted at least 60 yards in three of his last four games and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end or high-end No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.
