Chargers' QB Justin Herbert scored 28.55 fantasy points in Thursday's Week 8 win against the Vikings. Herbert threw for 227 yards on 18-of-25 with three touchdowns and one interception. It's the 3rd time this season Herbert scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Oct 23 11:20pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert completed 18 of his 25 pass attempts for 227 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception during Thursday's Week 8 win over the Minnesota Vikings. He also took two sacks and rushed for a season-high 62 yards. Herbert has been an effective fantasy quarterback all season long, but he has truly taken his game to the next level over the last three weeks. During that span, he has a total of eight touchdowns. He does have three interceptions in that timeframe as well, but fantasy managers will tolerate the slight uptick in turnovers if he continues to throw to the end zone at such a high success rate. Herbert will continue to rank as a mid-range QB1 heading into a very favorable Week 9 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

Oct 22 10:30pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is coming off a career-best performance with 420 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. However, in last week's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, he faced pressure 35 times, highlighting the ongoing pressure he's been under behind a battered offensive line for most of the season. Herbert now faces a top-five Minnesota Vikings pass defense on a short week, which poses an immediate risk because the Vikings run the second-highest blitz rate in the NFL. Still, volume matters: Herbert is the most-blitzed QB in the league and just threw 55 passes. Additionally, the Vikings recently allowed 326 yards and three touchdowns to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. Key offensive linemen Joe Alt (ankle), Trey Pipkins (knee), and Jamaree Salyer (knee) all practiced in some capacity this week and are listed as questionable for Thursday's game. If they play, protection could improve enough to let Herbert continue airing it out in a must-win situation. RotoBaller projects Herbert as QB11. He remains a locked-in QB1 due to his high passing volume and playmaking ability.

Chargers' QB Justin Herbert scored an impressive 34.10 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 7 loss against the Colts. Herbert threw for 420 yards on 37-of-55 with three touchdowns and two interceptions. It's the 2nd time this season Herbert scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Oct 20 5:30pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert set a career-high passing for 420 yards in Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Indianapolid Colts, completing 37 of 55 passes with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also led the team in rushing with 31 yards, but his two turnovers, including one in the end zone, proved costly as the Bolt's defense was nearly non-existent. Looking ahead to Thursday night, Herbert faces a top-five Minnesota Vikings passing defense. However, the Vikings are also coming off a tough loss and just allowed Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts to throw for 326 yards and three touchdowns. The short week and a battered O-line could limit Herbert's potential, but he remains a locked-in QB1 due to his volume and playmaking ability.

Oct 19 7:50pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert completed 37 of his 55 pass attempts for 420 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions during Sunday's Week 7 loss against the Indianapolis Colts. He also took three sacks and led the team with 31 rushing yards. Herbert turned in his best fantasy performance of the season thanks to his extremely high yardage total and three touchdowns, but the two picks -- plus Los Angeles' struggles running the football and Indianapolis' strong offense -- made it tough for the Bolts to overcome an early deficit. Herbert remains a mid-range QB1 in fantasy football, though, and he should continue to be started heading into Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Oct 19 6:30pm CT

Chargers' QB Justin Herbert passed for a phenomenal 420 yards on 37-of-55 with three touchdowns in Sunday's game against the Colts. He did throw two interceptions in the loss.

Oct 17 4:50pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert bounced back in Week 6, leading an impressive, game-winning drive against the Miami Dolphins with only 40 seconds remaining. However, the Chargers' offensive line remains uncertain, with tackle Joe Alt (Doubtful) and guard/tackle Trey Pipkins (Out) weakening the protection. Despite this, Herbert is set for a pass-heavy game against the 5-1 Indianapolis Colts, whose injured secondary recently allowed Arizona Cardinals backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett to throw for 320 yards and two touchdowns. The Colts rank 22nd in Opponent Passing Yards per Game, and this offensive showdown should force Herbert to rely more on his arm, especially with the possible return of wide receiver Quentin Johnston. The volatility of the matchup, along with line injuries, slightly lowers his floor, but his expected volume keeps him solidly in the QB1 range. RotoBaller projects Herbert as QB8 this week, making him a strong start in all formats.

Oct 13 5:10pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert bounced back strongly in the team's 29-27 last-second win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. He completed 29 of 38 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns, showing poise and evasiveness behind a depleted offensive line. Herbert stayed calm under constant pressure, leading a game-winning drive with less than 40 seconds remaining. The Chargers' rushing attack performed well throughout the game, giving Herbert some needed breathing room. In Week 7, Herbert faces the 5-1 Indianapolis Colts, who just allowed backup Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett to pass for 320 yards. Expect another confident performance from Herbert as he tries to keep the Chargers' momentum going. He continues to be a reliable QB1.

Oct 12 9:30pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert had another strong game for the Bolts in the Week 6 win over the Miami Dolphins on the road on Sunday, throwing for 264 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions on 29-for-38 passing. Herbert carried the ball once for a gain of two yards in the 29-27 victory to end the team's two-game losing streak. He was sacked only once all day for a loss of only one yard. Herbert had to extend a lot of plays with a banged-up offensive line in front of him, and he did a good job with one of his top wideouts, Quentin Johnston (hamstring), out due to injury. The 27-year-old showed good chemistry with Ladd McConkey in this one, helping McConkey to his first 100-yard game of 2025. L.A. got a surprising 100-yard performance out of running back Kimani Vidal to help Herbert on the road, but the Chargers could continue to lean heavily on Herbert's right arm with rookie Omarion Hampton (ankle) on Injured Reserve. Herbert has not thrown a pick in the last three games and will be firmly on the QB1 radar entering Week 7 versus the Indianapolis Colts.

Oct 10 2:50pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has a good chance to get the team back on track this week against the Miami Dolphins, who have one of the weakest defenses in the league heading into Sunday. Despite leading the team in rushing last week and being one of the top passers during the Chargers' early wins, Herbert's production has slowed due to injuries along the offensive line, taking 35 hits in the last three games. Critical penalties and the absence of Joe Alt (ankle) and Trey Pipkins (knee) continue to put pressure on Herbert. The Dolphins' defense ranks last in average rushing yards allowed. Still, the Chargers will be deploying backups Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal this week after Omarion Hampton (ankle) was placed on IR. The offense should lean more on the passing game and its proven weapons, but keep an eye on Quentin Johnston, who was limited all week with a hamstring injury and is questionable for Sunday. RotoBaller projects Herbert as the QB6 this week, making him a reliable high-end QB1 despite the offensive challenges around him.

Oct 6 4:50pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert had his worst game of the season, completing 22 of 29 passes for 166 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the team's 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders. The offense looked disorganized, burdened by costly penalties and sloppy play for most of the afternoon. Herbert also led the team in rushing with four carries for 60 yards, showing how often he was pressured behind a depleted offensive line. Herbert has been hit 35 times in the last three games, as a wave of injuries on the offensive line continues to mount. As the team prepares for Week 6 against a struggling Miami Dolphins defense, the Chargers might need to rely more on the passing game since they just placed rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) on IR. Herbert should have a chance to bounce back if his offensive line can give him some protection.

From RotoBaller

Oct 3 5:10pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is expected to have a strong rebound in Week 5 at home against the Washington Commanders. Herbert's recent performance was impacted by multiple drops from his receivers, limited playing time, and a collapsing pocket against the New York Giants. This resulted in only 203 passing yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, and the Chargers' first loss of the season. However, the Commanders present a good chance for recovery, as they rank 27th in the NFL in passing yards allowed (248.5 per game). While star tackle Joe Alt (ankle) is out with a high ankle sprain, the possible return of veteran guard Mekhi Becton (concussion) should help stabilize the interior. Expect the Chargers to be much more cohesive at SoFi Stadium. RotoBaller projects Herbert as QB3 for this week. Fantasy managers should anticipate a bounce-back game and consider him a top-tier QB1.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 11:20pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert struggled in the team's 21-18 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. He completed 23 of 41 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, along with a 24-yard run. The offense appeared out of sync, plagued by drops and constant pressure from New York's front four, which often forced Herbert out of the pocket. Losing left tackle Joe Alt (ankle) early made things even more difficult. In Week 5, they face the Washington Commanders, a team that ranks near the bottom of the league in passing yards allowed. If the line holds up, Herbert should bounce back against a weaker secondary. He remains a top-tier QB, though fantasy managers might expect some volatility until Alt returns.

From RotoBaller

Sep 26 2:20pm CT

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert heads into a Week 4 road game, fresh off a hard-fought 23-20 victory over the Denver Broncos, where he completed 28 of 47 passes for 300 yards, one touchdown, and his first interception. Herbert now faces the 0-3 New York Giants, who have a strong front four but a vulnerable secondary. While veteran guard Mekhi Becton (concussion) will miss the game, leaving some vulnerable spots on the offensive line's strong side, the Chargers' offense has gained balance with an improved run game, giving Herbert plenty of options to move the ball downfield. Herbert played confidently in clutch moments last week, and RotoBaller ranks him as QB5 for this week. Fantasy managers should consider Herbert a top-five QB to start with confidence moving forward.
